In Allahabad, senior leader Murli Manohar Joshi said: “We [in the BJP] cannot distance ourselves from the Sangh Parivar” and that Hindutva was a way of life in which the party had “intrinsic belief.”
He emphasised that the BJP “has its ideological roots” in Hindutva, which “cannot be given up” just because the party had suffered reverses in the election. There is no other way for BJP than to revert back to JP's Janata Party model with its "ideological roots” reanchored to The Mother & Sri Aurobindo. [TNM]
