Savitri Era Party is fired by the futuristic vision of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo

Most political parties in India today are relics of the past and have lost their relevance. Many state level parties thrive on linguistic chauvinism and ethnic identity without any firm ideological anchorage. Revamping policy priorities on an ongoing basis as the situation demands may be pragmatism but a politics bereft of any direction or dream is to let down the destiny of a billion people.

Ideologies that various parties customarily cling to have their roots in the pre-independence days. Many leaders had cut their teeth in the freedom struggle and their worldview was shaped before the age of industry and technology chugged in. The present state of India, therefore, is entirely different from those times, but we continue to invoke the homilies of those days.

Savitri Era Party is fired by the futuristic vision of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo. We can gift our country a truly modern political party just by joining hands of each other. This would be a fitting resolution to mark the centenary of Sri Aurobindo’s arrival at Puducherry today. [TNM]
