Five fight for light

Finally, five people (Sraddhalu Ranade, Raman Reddy, Niranjan Naik, Sudha Sinha, S. Ramanathan) have come forward to fight jointly for dislodging the current ossified regime of the Sri Aurobindo Ashram, Puducherry. Not a very happy turn, but this was the last option left after all polite in-house means were exhausted in the course of two years’ tussle.

We, on behalf of the Savitri Era Party, heartily welcome this move as there is nothing to fear from a Court verdict (whenever it is delivered). Rather, the upside is that discrepancies in rules and regulations of the Ashram accumulated over the years would inevitably come under judicial scrutiny and, hopefully, wiped out.

Risking their personal prestige and reputation, the petitioners have taken up a public cause for which they surely need support and solidarity in this crucial hour. We appeal the devotees from all corners of the world to extend the same willingly and energetically. [TNM]
