Hartz's White man's burden
Hartz's White man's burden of overthrowing religion is evidently shared by many. But this intellectual crusade should have been carried forward in a forthright manner and not from the cover of the Archives. Official assignment and personal conviction are two different things, and hence, conflating the two without overt concurrence of the community constitutes breach of trust as well as deception.
The irony, therefore, is the high moral ground that Hartz claims and the dismissive attitude he exhibits. Armed with theoretical justifications and quotations from the Masters' works, he might feel invincible but the roots of Savitri Era Religion have grown much deeper than he imagines. [TNM55]
