In the interest of truth, it needs to be mentioned
that the Supreme Court judgment in the S.P. Mittal etc. vs. Union of India case
referred to above includes the considered dissenting verdict of considerable
length (and of no inconsiderable significance) by Justice O. Chinnappa Reddy. A
discussion on the same, however, can throw much light on this contentious topic
and dispel doubts and misunderstandings. [TNM55]
