Heehs imbroglio and the alleged Cardinal Slur have overshadowed
the Larger Issues
for quite long and as a result the real threat of Sri Aurobindo’s
Opposition has received scant attention. Lack of able hands to grapple with
diverse intellectual
stimuli arising out of an unbiased rereading of Sri Aurobindo’s writings is a
severe bottleneck. The milieu for fostering such an informed-critical-sympathetic
mindset is also absent. Racial solidarity in the face of conflict is devouring
all marrows of rationality thus endangering our tomorrows. There is no other recourse
now than to clutch on to The Mother’s assurance that It is when everything seems
