The Mother & Sri Aurobindo are part of 20th century tumultuous history and yet they are far far away and above all these happenings. Savitri Era Religion worships them as the one Supreme Divine who are always present in their three poises: individual, universal, and transcendent.

Indian Knowledge Systems is a new slogan from Hindutva camp which invokes Sri Aurobindo at times. The Secret of the Veda by Sri Aurobindo should be the fundamental guide for any study of ancient Sanskrit texts but this is not happening. Consequently flawed interpretation persists. 

Human beings are human beings irrespective of their language, religion, or nationality. Hence to hate human beings in order to love god is absurd. Savitri Era Religion, owing allegiance to The Mother & Sri Aurobindo, aspires for human unity & world peace. Join it for #FiveDreams.

Letters on Yoga by Sri Aurobindo are of immense help to the devotees but they tell only one side of the story. If the questions by the disciples come to be published at some future date then a lot of sociological and psychological data relating to spirituality would be available.

Sri Aurobindo was against the whole crowd of moderates and yet today when we admire the Constitutional values vis-à-vis Hindutva, the contribution of both the groups can't be denied. The Western and Christian legacy of Freedom struggle in shaping modern India must be appreciated.

Many Centres relating to The Mother & Sri Aurobindo are running on dynastic lines. While this is natural when real estate is involved, Savitri Era Religion seeks to be free from dependence on physical objects. Imagining The Mother & Sri Aurobindo as the one Supreme Divine suits.

True Indian debate is really very important. Delhi and nearby people think they are the true Indians. The North Indians in general think they're the true Indians. South Indians claim to have preserved the rituals, and hence they're the true Indians. Bengalis feel they gave birth!

There are many instructions by The Mother & Sri Aurobindo for their disciples in the Ashram. But Savitri Era Religion doesn't recommend following any rule on lifestyle matters. Devotees are free to choose their own life circumstances without any necessity of looking as religious.

Democracy conceives a Parliament for ruling the country but unfortunately all wise people are outside it. Media used to provide them space but it has either been sold or godified. So social media is the last resort but here too arbitrary algorithms rule. Now AI has all the wisdom. 

Sri Aurobindo's birth anniversary is a week away which coincides with Independence day. Most Indians are unaware of the significance of this great occurrence. People of West Bengal paradoxically are oblivious of this but only Sri Aurobindo has the potential of resisting Hindutva.

Sri Aurobindo's original works including Savitri are in English. They have been translated into different languages but the mantric effect can't be said to have been effectively transferred. English therefore has to be learnt & tamed howsoever difficult or inconvenient it may be.

A section of Indians want Modi to be out and to see Rahul Gandhi in his place. But Savitri Era Party refuses to accept this as the ideal solution. The wisdom and vision of Sri Aurobindo should guide the nation as outlined in the #FiveDreams Manifesto broadcast on August 14, 1947.

Sri Aurobindo's wisdom reigns supreme in philosophy. Still, Savitri Era Religion modifies it. Similarly when it comes to practical aspects like yoga, psychology, education, or socio-political outcomes, the writings of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo don't produce commensurate results.

Many aren't aware that granting of Independence to India was settled for some other date but for some reason Lord Mountbatten changed it to August 15, 1947. He would certainly not be knowing that it happens to be Sri Aurobindo's 75th birth anniversary but some unseen force acted.

There's a tendency to judge different persons of history according to stray remarks by The Mother & Sri Aurobindo. Savitri Era Party takes a balanced view to admire people for their contributions considering the difficult circumstances that they encountered. Even Modi has pluses.

Darshan Day celebrations have a specific format which has become a sort of prison for The Mother & Sri Aurobindo and their philosophy. All life is yoga concept requires wider involvement and multifarious engagements. School activities have variety, but don't percolate to society.

I don't understand much the politics around tariffs but such disruptive decisions looks to be good for everyone. Democracy has become too much status quoist and therefore such developments may trigger multiple changes. Will it lead to anarchist environment? No, it's evolutionary.

Ambedkar had foregrounded the plight of the backward sections and Indira Gandhi rooted for Garibi hatao. Marxist scholars underwent the Subaltern turn and now Market economy has run its full course. Poverty and deprivation, however, remain a constant. AC local train started today. 

Sri Aurobindo is often remembered as a militant revolutionary but his reputation was partly destroyed by Tagore's Ghare Baire. Further, separation from his wife, Mrinalini Devi and The Mother's ascendancy as head of the Ashram were not very pleasant aspects from the social angle.

By worshipping The Mother & Sri Aurobindo as the one Supreme Divine, Savitri Era Religion brings freedom for its devotees from astrology, mythology, superstition, & rituals. Savitri Era Party, similarly, discards the warped history of Marxists and puts Sri Aurobindo at the centre. 

Democracy has not been functioning well in India from the inception. Indira Gandhi's record of destroying various institutions is well known. The present Govt is doing the same as being highlighted by @MNageswarRaoIPS. He has wide knowledge & experience but politics is different.

Reframing our understanding of the world and its future in consonance with The Mother & Sri Aurobindo's evolutionary vision is highly important. Mantric power of reciting Savitri for facilitating descent of the Supramental consciousness shouldn't be objected to by rational mind.

The Divine Manifestation of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo is specifically geared towards the descent of the Supramental consciousness and advent of a new race. Therefore confining them merely to their writings or their actions as recorded by history is utterly meagre and misleading.

Certainly "luminous and voluminous," yet limited and limiting. Sri Aurobindo famously remarked that he could have continued expanding The Life Divine. Further, AI can summarise anything in seconds.

These are all matters of faith. I haven't met anyone receiving such transmission.

Sri Aurobindo's books admittedly are difficult to read and understand. So the solution is to read the commentaries of other authors on his books. It's a slow and steady process and hence posing proficiency or bluffing should be avoided. For aesthetics, his originals are the best.

Orientation in the works of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo empowers not to be impressed by dominant narratives. Sri Aurobindo wrote against as much the hegemony of Western commentators as the misinterpretation of traditional scholars. Therefore no harm in believing in his philosophy.

I gave the name, Savitri Era Religion in 2006 the genesis of which can be traced to March 29, 1914 when The Mother reached Puducherry after a long journey from France and met Sri Aurobindo. Evolutionary inevitability will ensure its growth so that other religions go on shrinking.

The present Govt is bad and there should be a change. But what's the alternative? People take pleasure in criticising but what's the solution? Everyone is clueless. Only Savitri Era Party, drawing inspiration from The Mother & Sri Aurobindo, is confident of the evolutionary plan.

How the legacy of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo stands today is difficult to perceive in the absence of good books on the subject. Devotees too avoid writing on this. But an independent observer shouldn't go by only the official statements. Not to be agenda-driven is also important.

Right from the Indu Prakash days in 1893, Sri Aurobindo's task was formidable. Apart from opposing the Colonial rule, he had to show the right direction to the Indian political opinion. Besides he must dispel the confusion created by the intellectual fermentation of 19th Century.

The Idea of India (1997) by Sunil Khilnani can be said to be appearing right at the juncture of a new epoch. India Unbound (2002) by Gurcharan Das was equally seminal. Being Indian (2004) by Pavan K. Varma follows the same trajectory. The Second World (2008) by Parag Khanna also.

Many of Sri Aurobindo's writings are rhetorical and some polemical but broadly they respond to the pre-Independence scenario. His reliance on poetry too echoes British Romanticism. Thus astute grasp on what's relevant for the future is important like The Mother’s book on flowers.

Social media has immense capability for publicity, but the philosophy of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo is not reaching people. Official institutions are reluctant to take any initiative in this direction. To make matters worse, those sympathetic to Hindutva are spreading confusion.

Framers of Indian Constitution never imagined a mobile phone in the hand of every citizen with Internet connection. The modalities of democracy therefore have become outdated. A large nation like India itself has become an absurdity due to overpopulation. States need Sovereignty.

Results of Integral yoga are not assured, and hence it's necessary not to be overenthusiastic about it. There is great power in the writings of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo, but after their departure no one can assist anyone in this matter. Savitri Era Religion focuses on devotion.

There's no formal initiation or Deeksha ritual for Savitri Era Religion. Anyone feeling love for The Mother & Sri Aurobindo is automatically part of it. No form of pilgrimage or collective activity is mandatory. Each one is free to select his or her own suitable mode of devotion.

This platform is the greatest gift of human civilisation and technology which enables free democratic expression of opinion. And yet there's something sinister about it as my posts have negligible reach and zero response. I don't mind people avoiding me but whether X itself does?

Sri Aurobindo's principal works were published by 1920 but The Mother's return earlier the same year became a turning point for his philosophy and yoga leading to the establishment of the Ashram in 1926. Worshipping The Mother & Sri Aurobindo as the one Supreme Divine is pivotal.

Sri Aurobindo, the revolutionary Freedom fighter; Sri Aurobindo, the political Theorist and leader; Sri Aurobindo, the Philosopher and critic; Sri Aurobindo, the Poet and playwright; or Sri Aurobindo, the Spiritual guru are all very good. But, as Supreme Divine is most important.

Koenraad Elst's antipathy for Sri Aurobindo is well known but now he has started telling purely imaginary tales about him. A scholar of repute he doesn't feel it necessary disclose his secret sources. What he spouts has to be true since he is the authority. And Indians rever him!

Prospect of a #WorldUnion appears prominently in Sri Aurobindo's #FiveDreams Manifesto broadcast on August 14, 1947. Things look dismal at present. Yet Savitri Era Party rededicates itself for fruition of this inevitable evolutionary leap on the World Union day (August 20) today.

People are busy in peddling problems. Political parties as well as publishing houses are thriving by analysing them. Savitri Era Religion, owing allegiance to The Mother & Sri Aurobindo, however, is confident of a sublime destiny for the humanity. All may join in this great task.

As devotees of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo, there must be a constant awareness that it's a new and revolutionary path which has aptly been described as an adventure of consciousness. Simultaneously, one needs to remember the basic fact that nothing can move an inch without Grace.

Spirituality used to be identified with some amount of austerity but no longer. Apart from impressive dress to be armed with a laptop has also become mandatory. It's not merely an inner process but like justice should be seen to be done. Talking about visions or experiences must!

Savitri Era Religion took birth in 2006 specifically for the purpose that the Divine Manifestation of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo are beyond intellectual scrutiny. Further by severing all connections with past religions it starts with a clean slate. Reading Savitri amounts to yoga. 

Savitri basically is a long poem proclaiming the Vedic ideal of conquering death. But many scholars have noticed both The Mother and Sri Aurobindo's spiritual biographies forming significant part of the poem. Besides, it contains long dialogues on various philosophical arguments.

The Mother interestingly was in contact with Max Théon before meeting Sri Aurobindo. He was the head of Cosmic Movement which also aimed at a luminous body. Lurianic Kabbalah too has an identical vision of a new race. However Savitri Era Religion is independent of all influences.

Auroville is facing serious threats by its present mandarins as Hindutva lobby is hell bent on destroying its uniqueness. Savitri Era Party demands returning Matrimandir and Auroville to the devotees of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo to stop such evil designs.

Human life is governed by physics, chemistry, biology, psychology, sociology, philosophy, literature, and other spheres. Yoga seeks to apply the power of higher consciousness for transformation so that human limits can be surpassed. Worshipping The Mother & Sri Aurobindo is key.

Certain forms of yoga can be practiced with own effort, but Integral yoga is dependent on surrender to The Mother & Sri Aurobindo. Worshipping them as the one Supreme Divine and believing in the metaphysical formulation that they are always present in their three poises is vital.

Integral yoga is nothing but collaboration with evolution and, hence, expecting any time-bound result is mistaken. Transformation of own nature can be perceived over a period of time but complete victory over undesirable elements can't be achieved without the grace of The Mother.

Makarand Paranjape observed in The Penguin Sri Aurobindo Reader (1999) that Sri Aurobindo himself deified the Mother and vice versa. Justice O. Chinnappa Reddy opined in the Auroville case (1982) that the devotees are responsible for creating new religions and not their founders.

It's tempting to invoke Sri Aurobindo while discussing AI but they are chalk and cheese. I have been cautioning against utilitarian interpretation of his philosophy and yoga or for that matter education. Transformation isn't reform or development. Avoiding trivialisation is vital. 

Prevailing political and intellectual atmosphere doesn't inspire people to read The Mother and Sri Aurobindo's books. New Gurus too try to bind their followers by conventional thinking. Savitri Era Religion takes the convenient route of worshipping them as the one Supreme Divine.

Michael Murphy had spent some time in Sri Aurobindo Ashram, Puducherry after which he established Esalen along with Dick Price in 1962 for conducting group activities. He has also written many books which exemplify why expecting practical results from meditation or yoga is flawed. 

Many scholars eagerly highlight whenever any equivalence surfaces between Sri Aurobindo and Western thinkers like Rudolf Steiner, Carl Jung, Pierre Teilhard de Chardin, or Jean Gebser. This is a wrong approach. The yogic vision of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo is beyond speculation.

The Life Divine by Sri Aurobindo is the highest political goal and Savitri is the same in the spiritual direction. Since the ontology of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo entails seamless divinity of the whole creation, any form of voluntary collaboration towards this end turns into yoga. 

The Veda, as unveiled by Sri Aurobindo, represents an adventure of consciousness and therefore the whole philosophy and yoga of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo is nothing but giving the ancient Vedic vision a material shape. Savitri too aims at Immortality, the highest target for man.

Yoga has become a very common word but in our parlance, it's Integral yoga. Love and devotion for The Mother & Sri Aurobindo is the essential condition. Remember & Offer is understood as remembering The Mother before commencing any work and offering the same to her when finished.

শ্রীঅরবিন্দের নামে কিছু প্রতিষ্ঠানের নামকরণের মাধ্যমে তিনি স্থায়ীভাবে ঋষি অরবিন্দ হিসেবে পরিচিত হয়েছেন। এটি তাঁর জন্য এক ধরণের কারাগার হয়ে দাঁড়িয়েছে। মানুষ তাঁকে পরম প্রভু হিসেবে গ্রহণ করতে প্রস্তুত নয়। শ্রীমা সম্পর্কে কেউ জানে না। সাবিত্রী ইরা ধর্ম এই প্রতিরোধ সরাতে চায়।

আমি অতীতে বেশ কয়েকবার লিখেছি যে বিবেকানন্দের সাথে শ্রীঅরবিন্দের নাম উল্লেখ করা সম্পূর্ণ অপ্রয়োজনীয়। তারা দুজনেই ভিন্ন ভিন্ন সময়ে এসেছিলেন, এবং আদর্শগতভাবে বেশ আলাদা। যারা মনে করেন যে শ্রীঅরবিন্দ হিন্দু ধর্মের জন্য কাজ করেছিলেন, তারা ভুল। তিনি হিন্দুত্বের প্রতিষ্ঠাতা ছিলেন না।

শ্রীঅরবিন্দের বাংলা ত্যাগ মানুষকে হতাশ করেছিল। রবীন্দ্রনাথের ঘরে বাইরে উপন্যাসটি ঘটনাক্রমের একটি নেতিবাচক চিত্র তুলে ধরেছিল। এর ফলে শ্রীঅরবিন্দের দার্শনিক ও আধ্যাত্মিক কৃতিত্ব অনুকূলভাবে স্বীকৃত হয়নি। এমনকি, শ্রীঅরবিন্দের কাব্যিক রচনাও রবীন্দ্রনাথের তুলনায় কখনও প্রশংসা পায় না।

যদিও নেতাজি সুভাষ শ্রীঅরবিন্দকে তাঁর অনুপ্রেরণার উৎস বলে স্বীকার করেছিলেন, তবুও শ্রীঅরবিন্দের আধ্যাত্মিক মোড় তিনি গ্রহণ করেননি। দ্বিতীয়ত, শ্রীঅরবিন্দও হিটলারের সাথে তার সম্পর্ককে অনুমোদন করেননি। এই কারণে, নেতাজির সমর্থকরা শ্রীঅরবিন্দকে যেকোনো ধরণের স্বীকৃতি দেওয়ার বিরুদ্ধে।

শ্রীঅরবিন্দ নিজস্ব নিয়ম ভঙ্গ করে রবীন্দ্রনাথের সাথে দেখা করেছিলেন কিন্তু গান্ধীর সাথে দেখা করতে অস্বীকৃতি জানিয়েছিলেন। এর আগে তিনি গান্ধীর বিরুদ্ধে চিত্তরঞ্জন দাসের স্বরাজ্য পার্টিকে সমর্থন করেছিলেন। তিনি ক্রিপসের প্রস্তাব গ্রহণের জন্য আগ্রহী ছিলেন কিন্তু গান্ধী তাতে বাধা দেন।

১৯১৪ সালে শ্রীঅরবিন্দের সাথে প্রথম সাক্ষাতের পর শ্রীমা তাঁর প্রতি পরম শ্রদ্ধা প্রদর্শন করেছিলেন। পরবর্তীতে শ্রীঅরবিন্দ তাঁকে দিব্য জননী হিসেবেও চিহ্নিত করেছিলেন। উভয়ই এক দিব্যচেতনা। তাদের ভক্তরা সারা বিশ্বে ছড়িয়ে ছিটিয়ে আছেন। ২০০৬ সালে আমি এর নাম দিয়েছিলাম সাবিত্রী ইরা ধর্ম।

অন্যান্য ধর্মের সাথে সাবিত্রী ইরা ধর্মের কোন সম্পর্ক নেই। এই আধুনিক যুক্তিবাদী ধর্ম পৌরাণিক কাহিনী এবং আচার-অনুষ্ঠান থেকে মুক্ত। শ্রীমা ও শ্রীঅরবিন্দের প্রতি ভালোবাসা ও ভক্তি হল অপরিহার্য শর্ত। সাবিত্রী হল শ্রীঅরবিন্দ রচিত একটি মহাকাব্য যা মৃত্যুকে জয় করার আকাঙ্ক্ষা প্রকাশ করে।

A misconception prevails that Auroville has no religion although Matrimandir with The Mother & Sri Aurobindo's symbols is right at the centre of it. Founded by The Mother, it represents an aspiration for Vedic ideal of Life Divine and so it's erroneous to look upon it as utopian.

Apart from the castes or ethnic groups, there is a district-level nationalism in most States of India. Specific dialect and culture along with historical associations create such distinct identities. Thus differences among people are myriad. Savitri Era Religion will forge unity.

Since narrative war is a continuous affair and my role has been to present an alternative view based on The Mother & Sri Aurobindo's legacy, I play down the spiritual element which is subjective or esoteric in favour of a more practical aspect like devotion and surrender to them.

Appreciating Sri Aurobindo's poetry and his literary criticsm can be heady especially if one is a bit spiritually inclined. The contrast between him and the British poets on the one hand and the poets after him in India on the other is quite conspicuous. However, he can't be limited only to it. 

Reading The Mother & Sri Aurobindo's books is a long term affair and there's no single rule or route. It's their grace that leads one along. Tons of allusions come up on the way for lateral learning. His own work Heraclitus can be a good starting point while llion tells of Homer.

No one remembers him today, but V.K. Krishna Menon was a very prominent figure in our childhood. Similarly, T.T. Krishnamachari was well known. V.R. Krishna Iyer, of course, remains relevant for his radical views. J. Krishnamurti used to be a dominant influence on many seekers.

This is one way of looking at it and can't be taken as a very dependable exercise. My grounding in The Mother & Sri Aurobindo's philosophy doesn't fit in. It's entirely different. So, the overall ontology matters. Comparing both the streams can reveal interesting facets of mind.

Savitri Era Religion saves from mythology, rituals, & superstition. The Mother & Sri Aurobindo stress on psychological refinement for being right instruments for evolutionary adventure of consciousness. But it's possible only through their grace. Hence worshipping them essential.

That's true but my post is in the specific context of religious and political exploitation of mythology.

Just like English is indispensable because of Sri Aurobindo's Savitri, Hindi is indispensable because of Rafi's songs. But even after almost lifelong association with it, I can't speak correct Hindi due to the gender problem. Therefore, Odia is the fit candidate as link language.

It's important to stress on the central ideas of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo instead of the peripheral matters. Comments and observations by them on the then geopolitical goings on shouldn't be treated as true for ever. For the picture of the future can be drastically different.

Savitri Era Party (2007) has been highlighting how The Mother & Sri Aurobindo's thought is passing through difficult times due to the prevalence of Hindutva. Savitri Era Religion (2006) provides the best option for not to remain chained by mythology and rituals of past religions.

Believing in the philosophy that everything is permeated by the Divine is a fundamental facet of Integral yoga. That the evolution is on and events are reflection of its intention is also an essential element. No doubt a deterministic or fatalistic ethos oozes but that's how it's.

All life is yoga certainly encompasses material achievements and all utilitarian instincts but the very meaning and intention sown into one's life should be the guiding factor. This choice of the Psychic Being is a very important aspect of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo's philosophy.

The Constitution of India has facilitated an Imperial style of functioning by the Prime Minister as exemplified by the current incumbent. Technology enabled communication is being exploited for silencing people and promoting sycophancy. Sovereignty to States is the only solution.

This is Krishna Heights, our Apartment complex in Authpur under Bhatpara Municipality, West Bengal. While Shyamnagar Railway station is 2km away, Ferry ghat takes to Mankundu from where places associated with Sri Aurobindo like Chandannagar, Konnagar, or Uttarpara can be visited.

I was present when Anand Vihar Terminal was inaugurated by the then Railway Minister Mamata Banerjee along with Sandeep Dikshit in 2009. Later on, a weekly train was introduced to Haldia and I visited it in 2016. After several trips to different parts of the State, I landed here.

Indian philosophy has hundreds of ancient texts in Sanskrit along with numerous commentaries on them often with conflicting viewpoints. They are certainly confusing for the modern mind. Reading the works of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo, though difficult, is far more safe and sound.

By establishing an Ashram, The Mother & Sri Aurobindo lend themselves to Anthropological scrutiny. From Rishabhchand to Prasad sisters, numerous case studies can be of academic interest for understanding sociological dimensions of Yoga and self-abnegation.

Mobile phones have transformed personal lives as well as society. But people are not content with available Content. The ancient canons of aesthetics seem to have become outdated. But dissatisfaction is not due to the nature of Content. It's because of the downcast consciousness.

I have read many books explaining the philosophy of Sri Aurobindo in The Life Divine, but how it is connected with his revelations in The Secret of the Veda is rarely touched. Similarly, his socio-political vision as expounded in The Human Cycle, etc. is described independently.

The Secret of the Veda by Sri Aurobindo informs that different terms and names have symbolic senses and hence it can be deduced that religious rituals are meaningless. This basically is the genesis of Savitri Era Religion with The Mother & Sri Aurobindo as the one Supreme Divine.

Most people are aware of Sri Aurobindo as a Freedom fighter and a spiritual guru but his accomplishments as a great poet or philosopher is rarely appreciated. His contributions to political theory as well as literary criticism too are immensely insightful.

The Mother & Sri Aurobindo made many predictions like descent of the Supramental consciousness, advent of a new race, or the possibility of physical Immortality but none of these is India-centric. They are surely Vedic in origin but have nothing to do with Hindutva, BJP, or Modi.

Savitri Era Party is of the opinion that only the main language of the State should be taught in the schools apart from English as international. There should be no compromise on this. All other languages should be left to be learnt voluntarily or at the college level, if needed.

It's good that #SriAurobindo has been spared of the august company. Sri Aurobindo's views are certainly disruptive but most aren't aware of it.

As Modi is marching towards the end of his tenure, it's important to ruminate over his contributions. He brought theatrics to the dynamics of democracy which was needed as a contrast to his predecessor. The Media, including Social media, too have undergone drastic transformation.

Ascendancy of Hindutva has transformed the Indian political space.

1) It fought against Congress and Nehruvian ecosystem,

2) Resisted alleged appeasement of Muslims,

3) Protested against conversion by Christians.

Electoral arithmetic forced many political parties to rely on Muslims. Hindutva confronted this anomaly head-on. It's in power for many years, now, but suffers from lack of intellectual bulwark. Past glory or ancient texts won't be of help for future. Engaging with theory needed.

Modi in power has many other factors than simply Hindutva. Many detractors accuse him of sabotaging the Hindu cause. His soft corner for social justice movement is quite evident. Unlike Hindutva, he leaves no opportunity to show his respect towards Gandhi.

Dhankhar had insulted the judiciary and today he was insulted by one Minister and had to resign. The sword of 75 years is also hanging over the heads of many. 

On the whole Hindutva as an ideology has no future as its appeal can't tackle the vastness and diversity of the country.

Prakash Karat asked Somnath Chatterjee to resign but he refused to yield. Jagdeep Dhankhar has been made to resign in a similar fashion. But this is undemocratic and against the Constitution. Various institutions have been conceived which must be deemed as above the party diktat.

Savitri Era Religion is the most suitable alternative for the modern generation. Free from mythology and rituals it doesn't insist on any lifestyle stipulation. Worshipping The Mother & Sri Aurobindo as the one Supreme Divine and reading their books at times is the only condition. 

Despite its opposition to Hindutva and Modi Savitri Era Party maintains that the evolutionary intention should run its full course. Modi rule has many positive sides and has resisted hardcore hawks but fundamentally it's anti-evolutionary. The nation will recognise Sri Aurobindo.

Constitution of India needs to be freed from all provisions relating to castes and religions. Only then equality among citizens can be expected. But granting Sovereignty to the States on the basis of languages is an urgency which will lead to #WorldUnion as seen by Sri Aurobindo.

Political parties have forgotten that democracy is for the people and all their affairs need to be transparent. Their strategies and priorities should be debated threadbare so that different sections of people contribute to them. Every decision should be explained to the public.

The Dhankar issue is not irrelevant. This signifies the core malady of Indian polity. The Constitution has lots of checks and balances and top institutions shouldn't be dealt with in such summary manner. It's not the person alone but the chair and the prestige of the whole nation. 

The Govt must confess that it has some hand in the sudden resignation of the Vice President. It should apologise for the false reason and misleading the public. The public has a right to know the real reason for easing him out. Govt has the right to cite sufficient justifications. 

Dhankar had objected to the judiciary setting time limits for holding the bills. But now it is also essential for the judiciary to fix reasonable time gaps between work and resignation, especially for top designations. It's a pity that Constitution is given such shabby treatment.

The Divine Manifestation of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo is unique and unprecedented, and hence it's erroneous to explain them or their thought in terms of old mythologies or philosophical doctrines. It's anomalous too to compare them with their contemporaries or other great names.

Being born and brought up in an Odisha village, I understand the value of modernity and liberalism. Bengal Renaissance and Sri Aurobindo are indebted to Christian legacy and the Constitution too is based on Biblical ideals. Savitri Era Party steers clear of mythology and rituals.

Savitri Era Religion, as an alternative to all old belief systems, worships The Mother & Sri Aurobindo as the one Supreme Divine, who are always present in their three poises. Understanding their philosophy and practice of yoga etc. should be taken up voluntarily by the devotees.

It's important for scholars and academics to be intellectually honest. It's always possible that there's a chasm between their professional work and personal beliefs. They need to be stated clearly. Peter Heehs, for instance, explains his methodology clearly but own views opaque.

There's an impression that The Mother's writings are simple and easy to understand. This may be partially true but one should be prepared to be bombarded with disruptive and revolutionary ideas within a couple of paragraphs. Sri Aurobindo would tell tacitly but her way is direct.

Although Congress has national presence, its family-owned structure can never attract people. BJP seems to have exhausted all its ammunitions. That leaves AAP as the lone contender for the future. But Sri Aurobindo might prove to be a more powerful force than any Arvind Kejriwal.

All admirers, devotees, or followers of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo are fortunate to have come in contact with them. But choosing to be prisoners of anti-evolutionary narratives amounts to wasting that opportunity. Savitri Era Party encourages intellectual culture for right steps.

Appreciating The Mother & Sri Aurobindo through their books may take decades but Savitri Era Religion is the secure route to access their greatness. Even, visiting Centres at times may feel repelling but Savitri Era Religion demands no rituals or methods of practice. One is free.

It's easy to be drawn into any faction given the multiple identity ghettoes in our country. Savitri Era Religion is also an identity based fraternity, but believes in universality and human unity. Savitri Era Party respects diversity and democratic route for resolving conflicts.

If Govt. can't manage temples, then why should it manage schools or colleges; or hospitals, for that matter? Administration is brick and mortar. Religion is a much broader concept than mere temples. Focusing on that is the real task. Auroville was private but Govt. took it over.

I understand the issue and wholly sympathise with your argument and demand. In fact I'm also demanding the same for Auroville. Churches and mosques have been outside Govt control but temples are large in number and unless a viable management model develops conflicts will mushroom

Current generation of Hindutva intellectuals are products of the temple movement where the rise was easy. Now they find that reading Sri Aurobindo is essential for their credibility. It's a difficult job and laid with interpretational mines. The presence of The Mother stymies too. 

History like mathematics has a very limited use in life but news and current affairs impose too much of it on people. Historical analysis is posed as crucial but the truth is that events rarely occur in the old format. Evolution is amazingly creative; expecting newness is a must.

When Book Two of The Life Divine was published in 1940 Sri Aurobindo included many new chapters by discarding old ones. incarnateword.in/cwsa/22

The Life Divine is generally considered a book of philosophy but it contains enormous insights on psychology as well as yoga. Further, it's also the sublimest expression of sociology. From ontological view too, it sets out the secrets of physics and biology. Poetry isn't missing.

The Life Divine constitutes the greatest Manifesto for the mankind. Reading it amounts to prayer for fulfilment of the prophecy it proclaims. Sri Aurobindo assures that the descent of the Supramental consciousness is an evolutionary inevitability. Surrender to The Mother is key.

A democratically elected Govt is the highest ideal in social and political thought and hence its actions and priorities can't be faulted. Citizens are well within their rights to demand change of policies but the Govt has its own compulsion of building consensus within the party.

Social media has empowered individuals to have their say but respecting democratic ethos is most important. Asking present Govt to rectify all errors of the past is absurd. Representing an interest group requires building an organisation. Otherwise, lone voices are empty vessels.

No Prime Minister had performed the kind of dextrous tightrope walking that Modi does in the full glare of Social media. Myriad chaotic and cacophonic narratives targeting disparate constituencies exemplify democratic polyphony. Repealing the farm laws is his greatest achievement. 

Students' Prayer forms one of the defining dictums of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo's teachings. The inherent aspiration in it dovetails into a resolve, but discerning what's tainted with the past and which beacon of light beckons towards the future warrants dispassion and goodwill.

Divinity of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo is the fundamental aspect of Savitri Era Religion which the outside world can never understand or accept. It is for the devotees to express that to let others know. It's not for nothing that major religions are spending so much on publicity.

Outsiders are always eager to compare The Mother & Sri Aurobindo with others, but it's a fruitless exercise. Their Divine Manifestation is unique and unprecedented. But even their intellectual output is lightyears ahead. No man has ever imagined what The Life Divine proclaims.

The Mother discouraged involvement in active politics in the Ashram, and that gives the wrong impression that Sri Aurobindo was against politics. In fact, both The Human Cycle and The Life Divine deal with collective affairs. Savitri Era Party aims at #FiveDreams and #WorldUnion.

Direct disciples in the Ashram were responsible for dissemination of Sri Aurobindo's philosophy in a scholarly manner. Later, some University professors took it up for writing books and articles among whom Sisir Kumar Maitra (1887-1963), BHU was a pioneer.

Indra Sen (1903-1994) is famous for his book Integral Psychology. He had attended Heidegger's lectures and met Jung. He had first visited Puducherry with Surendranath Jauhar as a tourist but later became a devotee and left Delhi University to settle there.

Based on The Mother & Sri Aurobindo's vision, Savitri Era Party maintains a valiant stand that Hindutva is anti-evolutionary. It's also against Congress due to its family ownership. Reservations should be abolished. Beyond this it's difficult to speculate on geopolitical matters.
