Ascending to the beauty of a pure thought world

Savitri Era: Vigilance against anti-Evolutionary forces essential https://t.co/9YtIqGRX0L https://t.co/Ys3BwQAcpj

What Sri Aurobindo is supposed to have stated in 1924 can't obviously be wholly applicable in 2024. Modifying notions and connotations therefore is important instead of resorting to literalism or vain devotionalism. Establishing genuine worth of texts in today's context is vital.

The writings of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo may seem difficult or too complex to a beginner but Savitri Era Religion provides a simplified picture. It's not Ashram-oriented nor connected with old methods of yoga. It also gives freedom from rituals, superstitions, and herd-moves.

Savitri Era movement has many dimensions. Establishing Sri Aurobindo firmly as the dominant consciousness of the nation is the primary one. Developing a suitable ecosystem with political and religious bulwark forms the allied one. Cultural and cerebral soft power are brass tacks.

There is no better brand than Sri Aurobindo today. Savitri Era is about positive agenda and not nitpicking on jaded formulations. Those who can't understand this much and choose to stay wedded to the past lose a great opportunity. At least they can't complain that no one told us.

How Kejriwal and Modi came to power through multi-pronged media-interventions is recent memory. But no brand can sustain sans intrinsic worth. Sri Aurobindo on the other hand is a seasoned product waiting for its time. Hindutva fiasco is going to create a receptive environment.

Suddenly too many intellectuals and experts are finding themselves to be illiterates. Sri Aurobindo has unnerved many and most are compensating by name-dropping. No one is prepared to invest a cool decade or so; so they are gone and it forms a golden opportunity for the new generation.

While philosophy, yoga, and spirituality are more conspicuous images, Sri Aurobindo is an all-purpose tool. Users are aware of its higher utilities and transforming potentialities of an apparent rational choice or consumption. This comes free enhancing return from the cost value.

Religious mobilisation for building a majority can't lend legitimacy in a Democracy. Rational choice and critical scrutiny are cornerstone of a modern society. Rational, however, needn't always mean prudent or diligent due to prevalence of human frailty, mischief, or playfulness.

Equality between men and women and concentrating on common human methods is a defining element of Sri Aurobindo's yoga. Thus, the empowerment dimension is downplayed but the magnetic function performed by women in any ecosystem is often neglected leading to lack of lubrication.

Sri Aurobindo furnishes many examples of Western history for illustrating psychology of social development. In India one can perceive the Physical period during 1947-97 followed by the current Vital phase. An intellectual churning is imminent with Sri Aurobindo firing the imagination

In the Physical period people were predominantly ignorant and blindly followed the leaders. Indoctrination was the name of the game but the masses were oblivious of the ideological implications. Hold of ideological intoxicants like Hindutva is more volitional in the Vital phase.

It's not difficult to find disillusionment pertaining to Hindutva on the part of many prominent handles and scholars although they maintain a feel good image due to electoral reasons. Modi govt going slow on Hindutva agenda also indicates prevarication in the top echelons of RSS.

Vital period is marked by adolescent's zeal and keenness for hitching one's wagon. Hate agenda of Hindutva provides an ideal combination exploiting which many have become celebrities. But instant benefits can meet pitfalls due to faulty blueprints. So Sri Aurobindo is a safer bet

Distorted history, dishonest theory, and disinformation campaigns have dominated our lives all along. Hindutva seeks to replace them with an idyllic imaginary utopia of mythological fictions. Applying detergents to discourse is essential just as sunshine is the best disinfectant.

Deriving benefits are decisive factors in pursuing knowledge or pushing ideologies at present but in an environment inspired by the ethos of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo higher motives would drive thought and action. Though not unusual as a normative, the phenomenon will be normal.

Another character created by Sri Aurobindo is Maheshwari. Modeled on Varuna, She is absolutely unique and has no affinity with any name in Indian mythology. https://t.co/tvIXz9b1Hj Worshipping her would mean ascending to the beauty of a pure thought world for enjoying rationality

People of India are being manipulated and exploited in various ways and those who are in the know are in the rolls of perpetrators. Deep State and Big Data are calling the shots in connivance with religious predators. The positive agenda of Savitri Era can combat vulnerabilities.

Congress might improve upon its scorecard but dream-houses built by many over its prospects are sure to collapse. That interestingly will initiate a fresh round of appraisal of the shrinking appeal of its ideology. Savitri Era Party has been prescribing the corrective since 2007.

Vigilance against anti-Evolutionary forces essential.

Sri Aurobindo is known as a revolutionary against the British rule but his most important achievement - along with The Mother - was defeating Hitler (by lending support to British war effort). Implications of this is not over; vigilance against anti-Evolutionary forces essential.

Supporting the British was difficult to understand for many among Sri Aurobindo's close associates. His other political initiatives were not accepted by the Congress leaders. To this day, his actions and priorities remain misunderstood; full loyalty and devotion needed to fathom.

Many followers of Sri Aurobindo are found to be fond of badmouthing Muslims and Christians but for Savitri Era Party, it's not a priority. Fascist and Kafkaesque tendencies active behind the Hindutva movement is rather a much more menacing factor against future peace and harmony.

Apart from raising awareness against Astrology, Mythology, and Rituals, Savitri Era Party has been urging to rediscover the Veda as interpreted by Sri Aurobindo. Breaking the stranglehold of current gurus in not permitting the public to read Sri Aurobindo is also an action point.

Mischievous rejection of religion by Marxist and Nehruvian writers made Hindutva respectable as a backlash. Sri Aurobindo however has made elaborate examination of human progress a century earlier and this insight arms Savitri Era Party to reject Hindutva lock, stock, and barrel.

It'd be clear now how the stand of #SavitriEraParty on Hindutva is profoundly different than that of Congress, Marxist, or Ambedkar supporters. Savitri Era philosophy is 1) Vedic, 2) Evolutionary, and 3) Integral or global. Our views on diverse subjects at https://t.co/gS4Nl4EK1I

Nothing at present indicates that Savitri Era Party can be a success (it's already twelve years), but having seen some dramatic changes happening quite unexpectedly, I'm hopeful that such a change can come. Instead of a miracle, it should be perceived as logical outcome of events

A 2014 picture of my village home in Odisha where The Mother came to me in 1964 when I was nine (I'm 64 now)... My initial lessons in self-reflection and self-management,... I continue to express such frustrations and disappointments here in various forms. https://t.co/JrUlqHxVSx https://t.co/Ycz1rjHzvd

A relevant thread to what we have been stressing on but without being soft on the other side of the political spectrum. Each ideology has contributed and served the Evolutionary purpose even like the evil in a story but the future belongs to Sri Aurobindo. https://t.co/QXVSWtHzYV

How to silence Sri Aurobindo and ignore his writings?
[Sri Aurobindo was another genius in comparative perspectives, but he was largely a symbol of powerful silence, as a, Yogic recluse, at his Ashram in Pondicherry. M.R. VENKATESH] https://t.co/VleLUIAS1K
https://t.co/MdTXULFU7b

Spirituality doesn't evolve in a vacuum and involves all our faculties and activities. Politics or collective affair including physical facilities and amenities are an integral part of such a scenario. So, building an identity around shared values and a common faith is essential.

Sri Aurobindo definitely attempted to raise a handful of his disciples to higher consciousness but time was not ripe. The Mother therefore opted for the Auroville by diluting the Ashram model. But such localised experiments are not enough and Savitri Era Party is more accessible.

Unfollowed many #Chowkidar handles during the last two days. History and hatred are their dominant theme with nothing new or inspiring to tell. Some of them, however, are now acutely aware of the intellectual poverty of Modi who used to be imagined as a superhero five years back.

Since someone says that he sees my tweets,
I'm beholden but don't take them too seriously.
Twitter is a toy for literate old persons,
Who tend to litter to vent a hundred deprivations.
#MayDay is for remembering the human condition,
And being aware of their impregnable conundrum.

From the Bande Mataram phase as a political theorist, Sri Aurobindo's transition to the philosopher of a robust Mother-Ontology, is an interesting one. The Divine Shakti of The Synthesis of Yoga disturbs the neat framework that he built in The Life Divine. https://t.co/3DJEEVIVoY https://t.co/HacnAKAMeH

More than inertia there seems to be rival perceptions within the ruling ecosystem which is welcome. Replacing one dominant narrative by another can be problematic and hence debatable. There's scant unanimity on these issues even on Twitter; so it's good that the govt is cautious.

Hegel’s India: A Reinterpretation with Texts by Aakash Singh Rathore and Rimina Mohapatra should be the first book for all those who wish to enter the world of philosophy and understand the East-West encounter as an interesting phenomenon in the long history of human civilisation

Indian Political Thought: A Reader edited by Aakash Singh and Silika Mohapatra is an outstanding compilation of seminal essays by nearly two dozen eminent contemporary thinkers and critics covering tradition, secularism, communalism, modernity, feminism, justice, and human rights

It's interesting that many who themselves have not read Sri Aurobindo's varied writings adequately are recommending them to others. His synthesis of knowledge is unparalleled. Most educated Indians unfortunately are deprived of his insights and thus possess a very narrow outlook.

Many secrets of nature have come to light through science but there's no assurance that all the mystery will be disclosed. Human mind is a limited bowl and hence can't know the whole. Thus, those insisting on any particular religion are mistaken. Integral outlook needed to know.

Looking at the sky at night is the easiest means to be cured of religious fundamentalism since no single religion can claim to have created all the stars. [Remember that these innumerable worlds, ...are a million times more ancient than your Himalaya, ...] https://t.co/gx6MHXhQNp

Sri Aurobindo brought in the word Yoga much before the concept of New Age or Self-Help arrived but depth psychology was a rage. By braiding evolution with personal elevation, he paved the way for an ideal society based on universal values. Reading him enables one to open to Yoga.

India as the largest Democracy is no longer a virtue since suppression of regional self-esteem is taking its toll. Granting Sovereignty to the States and other linguistically cohesive regions is the only solution for reversing the ill-effects of colonial rule under British empire

A regime change is in the offing and RSS might rebrand itself as Rashtriya Chowkidar Congress. The word Sanghi has become associated with too many negative connotations and hence is likely to be dropped. Similarly, appropriating the Congress space has been a dream and a priority.

Govt. must vacate Auroville; its residents should elect their President, democratically. https://t.co/fCwB8uHzT0

Hindutva votaries are recounting their war in Rediff and Sulekha against Western academia but Savitri Era had other tasks in 2005. Although Ken Wilber had brought Sri Aurobindo to wider notice, his portrayal was underinformed and unsympathetic. Rod Hemsell & @akazlev fought that.

A priori "philosophical" notions of a nation should be replaced by practical and administrative criteria in sync with present status of membership of UNO. Historical accidents and errors need to be rectified by modern principles of management with last mile delivery as the focus.

Watching TV imparts a lot of sociological insights which were theorised by thinkers like Karl Marx (1818–1883), Max Weber (1864—1920), and Max Horkheimer (1895–1973). Those who nurse visceral antipathy for western thought are likely to develop serious myopia in understanding life

Understanding the political relevance of Sri Aurobindo is the most important task. How Hegel's speculative metaphysics finds consummation in Sri Aurobindo's Vedic ontology is the most challenging intellectual exercise. How Nietzsche, Bergson, or Whitehead differ is also crucial.

The herculean task undertaken by Sri Aurobindo in publishing his many-layered thoughts travelling in multiple directions in ARYA during 1914 to 1921 has not been adequately appreciated nor understood by his countrymen. Cf. Fascist, Kafkaesque, and Quixotic tendencies in Hindutva.

Odisha is regularly ravaged by natural disasters but I'm proud that it has the largest resource base for dissemination of the epochal teaching of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo. The Evolutionary relevance of #Odisha therefore is no less significant than its Kalingan past glory. #Fani

Millions of children are born into families belonging to Islam everyday and so those painting Islam as evil is of no avail. Criminals are there in people belonging to all religions; modern day terror is a sophisticated form of warfare and can't naively be attributed to a religion

Spreading religious hatred in the guise of nationalism has vitiated the atmosphere in India. It has corrupted the minds of the young generation. Learning about Sri Aurobindo can inculcate universal values leading to peace and harmony. Savitri Era Party has its task cut out for it

Sri Aurobindo was kept out of school and college syllabi. His writings were never cited in books or journal articles. A whisper campaign against him as an escapist or espousing violence was common. Congress bosses and their Marxist henchmen have systematically erased his memory.

Science told facts and the empiricist approach assumed a huge prestige leading to consumer behavior studies. Management however discovered that data don't give uniform results and turned to philosophy. Sri Aurobindo of course spoke of spiral course of evolution a century earlier.

Having seen several episodes of propaganda and disinformation during the last sixty years, I have been warning against grand narratives spun by those having vested interests. Working on current issues is a sound strategy for not being drawn into the vortex of analysing the past.

Instead of conjectures, it's better to accept Sri Aurobindo in terms of his actual achievements which are no less considerable. A positive environment of appreciation created around his future vision would have no place for hatred for other personalities who too helped in a way.

No doubt, The Life Divine by Sri Aurobindo is a difficult book but a certain density of orientation on its content as well as context will go a long way in understanding it. For this purpose, The Philosophy of Evolution by Rod Hemsell is an excellent help. https://t.co/VcmVg9BsFy

When Sri Aurobindo returned to India in 1893 after his school and college education in England, he started writing against Congress leaders displaying unusual knowledge and courage. Later, his seniors like Lal-Bal-Pal could recognise his talent and gladly accepted his leadership.

Although the hard posture of Sri Aurobindo was responsible for Congress split at Surat in 1907, his stance was not much in variance with Congress, post-Independence. BJP on the contrary - though genealogically closer - is more distant from Sri Aurobindo today. Policy tweak needed

Commodity fetishism introduced by Marx is an important milestone in theory which also recognises an element of mysticism akin to spirituality of Sri Aurobindo. The glamour perceived in an object by a consumer can easily be compared with seeking the All Beautiful behind relations.

Falling in love with polysyllables of Sri Aurobindo is the first step; second is hearing their sounds in one's own voice. Feeling that one is reciting the Veda by reading The Life Divine is the third; the fourth is imagining that seers and mystics from all cultures are all ears.

Tagore's songs are not accessible to most Indians, yet he is considered as a great poet. Sri Aurobindo wrote in English but educated Indians are hardly aware of his poetry or plays. Prejudice against Sri Aurobindo is widespread: Purushottama Lal, Nissim Ezekiel, Ashis Nandy et al

Thanks. But when [Dipesh Chakrabarty has pointed to 'the remarkable failure of intellect' in Sumit Sarkar's book] he should be seen as defending Sri Aurobindo. [Ref. The Nation as Mother: and Other Visions of Nationhood by Sugata Bose] Of course, Dipesh may be at fault elsewhere.

The work of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo is wide ranging yet well defined; they form a clear ideological line in the present political circumstances. So, it's difficult to understand the compulsion of Sri Aurobindo Society to associate itself with dubious persons and organisations.

After one year as an undertrial, Sri Aurobindo was released from Alipore Jail on May 6,1909. [Shyamji Krishnavarma sneered that there seemed to be a rash of revelations in the jails of Bengal, what with Aurobindo's vision coming just a year after Bipinchandra Pal's. -Peter Heehs]

It appeared downright blasphemous when Peter Heehs announced in 2008 that [The Aurobindo that interests me is the one who...was able to write a shelf full of books] but his own fetish for them (and lifelong engagement) must be seen as the redeeming factor. https://t.co/tFSy4kc1KC

I would like to consider each one sans juxtaposition; using the word failure in a short time frame is also not fair. Writings of Sri Aurobindo for instance continue to impress more an more people. That potential should be seen as a huge success just as Plato, Vico, or even Adorno

Sri Aurobindo wrote critical notes on diverse aspects of Indian culture and religion much before Kosambi or Bhasam. Volume 01 of his Complete Works is Early Cultural Writings which is a treasure house of insightful essays on Vyasa, Kalidasa, and Dayananda. https://t.co/ffK4bocuoB

Many do PR out of passion or on compensation but claiming neutrality or objectivity of their views is absurd by definition. Paid, planted, sponsored, or toeing the partyline tweets need to be opposed and exposed despite their good English. Critical reason is good for all seasons.

A neat portrayal of life but a different picture invades at another point of time. So, no fixed notion and hence the need for a more reliable account of the creation. Sri Aurobindo's books are the best guide in this respect both in terms of content as well as aesthetic enjoyment. https://t.co/uU7IqAtsO4

Thanks to The Mother & Sri Aurobindo, the Four Horsemen of New Atheism could never able to make me bother about them. Such movements come and go as spelled out in the very first paragraph of The Life Divine. Spending some time with the book is the best investment for the old age.

War between Communism and Capitalism has been a dominant theme all my life and perhaps is still on at least in India. Its ideological ramifications other than economics are so diverse that study of humanities will continue to be vital. Sri Aurobindo's place is indispensable to it

Opposing Hindutva has been a political priority in the current decade but intellectually there's nothing challenging or providing some opportunity for learning. Sri Aurobindo is head and shoulders above Hindutva pigmies. Interpreting him beyond what he has written is a challenge.

Acintyabhedābheda attributed to Chaitanya is a good candidate to claim some contributions to the evolution of Bengal renaissance culminating in the Integral philosophy of Sri Aurobindo. Even the mass uprising during Bande Mataram movement can be seen as a form of Nama Sankirtana.

The Mother & Sri Aurobindo have written elaborately on spiritual development but it's better to avoid them initially. Instead, their guidance on education, art, and poetry etc can make interesting reading. Switching to politics and history then can be illuminating. Yoga can wait.

Auroville is almost synonymous with environmentalism now but can't claim the same for feminism. Mother-Ontology of Sri Aurobindo has much to offer to transform present forms of man-woman relationships. A more rigorous theoretical engagement needed to break free of current moulds.

There are about a dozen schools of ancient Indian philosophy supplemented by another dozen of spiritual disciplines enunciated by modern Indian gurus. One can add to it another dozen of Western and New Age streams with Integral dimension. Picking up Sri Aurobindo is the best way.

Dr Ramesh Bijlani has diagnosed several pitfalls in the spiritual path and one may be afflicted with several of them. But such a situation is part of human finitude and there's nothing to be ashamed of such deficiencies. Holding on to Sri Aurobindo is key. https://t.co/foESZMV5KU

Much before digitalisation and demat facilities were made available in the virtual world, The Mother & Sri Aurobindo sought to free religion from brick and mortar environment or any third-party mediation. Spirituality and Yoga are personal affairs without any external encumbrance

This handle is very fond of this quotation and repeats frequently. We however stress on intellectual culture without being discouraged or intimidated by such decontextualised readings. https://t.co/bK3LNqWxRn

RSS is famous for low intellectual levels. Hindutva too shares this trait due to its undue reliance on Mythology and Rituals. Most followers of Sri Aurobindo on Twitter, having their primary allegiance to Hindutva, detest analytical approach or research and prefer copy and paste.

In this largely copy and paste article the author somehow is reluctant to consult CWSA vol.25 and instead lifts prose in bulk from CWSA vols.7 and 8. This selective amnesia enables her to lecture others on their defective understanding of political theory. https://t.co/egYubHfPq7

Twitter allows expressing one's opinion instantly but the right approach is to write on a topic, examine it from different viewpoints; and refer to other perspectives that have already been published. People need to be trained in paper writing and observing a scholar's open mind.

Reaping political dividends from Hindutva is hard given the diversity of India. Its intellectual consequences are much more damaging and anti-Evolutionary. Many of its current votaries thankfully hold Engineering or Management degrees but the unwashed sections are more vulnerable

Writings of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo are futuristic. So no one should encourage mind falling silent or prolonged meditation. These techniques are not strictly result-oriented and may lead to frustration or depression. Similarly, an overt and over-reliance on miracles is flawed.

It's painful to see rabid Hindutva members harboured in Sri Aurobindo Society and Sri Aurobindo International Centre of Education (SAICE), in influential positions. Lack of adequate discursive environment in Sri Aurobindo Ashram is responsible for such Frog-in-the-well mentality.

Seminars are an integral part of University system where contesting ideas or interpretations are brought face to face. Nothing similar happens in relation to Sri Aurobindo and a monochromatic ivory-tower speech is considered safe. Savitri Era Learning Forum (SELF) undermines that

Each person is entitled to his liberty and stupidity. The problem is to maintain sanity while operating in the public domain. What one endorses should not go against common sense, human rights, or politically correct concepts. Spirituality can't be a licence for all idiosyncracy.

If not a single dissenting voice or criticism by the party MPs, then Democracy can certainly be considered as "stabilised." Well, such servility by self-seeking politicians is understandable but when endorsed by avowed Self-seeking Experience-holders, it's easy to gauge or judge.

Modi may or may not earn a second term but even after five years, I have this feeling that he is just a mask. A very powerful international syndicate is behind him and various incidents happening around him. Sovereignty of India is very much at stake; hence Sovereignty to States.

Each State must be given Sovereignty so that they write their Constitutions in their own languages, yours in Telugu and mine in Odia. Unless we support and promote our own languages and the nationhood around it, present hypocrisy and megalomania will continue to dominate thinking

Fifty years back, performers were a few and most people were happy to be in the audience. Democracy too is modelled on the same pattern. The situation has reversed now and everyone wants to be in power or a performer. Twitter thankfully provides such a virtual opportunity to all.

To buy a piece of ice-cream for instance it's futile to know what Ashoka and Akbar thought or Ambedkar wrote about it. Some may even seek the counsel of Kalhana or Kshemendra. Others might search for references in the confessions of Augustine, Rousseau, Tolstoy et al. All in vain

I think, DDU wrote in Hindi and hence not much accessible. Further, like his other contemporaries, he is dated. Today's world is a much more complicated and interconnected one. We invoke The Mother & Sri Aurobindo for their spiritual force; any other name is a "contamination."

The Mother & Sri Aurobindo (1872 - 1973) are a continuation of Western values blended with Vedic wisdom. Trouncing Hitler was their prime achievement which forms a modern mythology. Their critique of Hinduism and other religions heralds a new era for the mankind. #FiveDreams #WW2

March of modern civilisation through Girolamo Savonarola (21 September 1452 – 23 May 1498), Giordano Bruno (1548 – 17 February 1600), Galileo Galilei (15 February 1564 – 8 January 1642), and Voltaire (21 November 1694 – 30 May 1778) et al needs to be remembered vis-à-vis Hindutva

Ram is no stranger to political discourse in India but regrettably forms a serious methodological hurdle in academic pursuit. For instance, relationship between the Veda and the Avesta should have been a fertile field of research (where Ram matters little) but not much enthusiasm

The story of the other Mother #MirraAlfassa contains many clues to understand our existence as well as the future. #TheLifeDivine by #SriAurobindo is still the best bet against pure scientific perception of the cosmos. Need to explore the evolutionary saga https://t.co/GUUpZXiZs0

AIT like Big bang or Quantum mechanics is still a contested domain involving a lot of speculation. So, it's better to wait for some final breakthrough leaving the field to experts like blog_supplement or @bennedose. Any emotional support has the potential of misguiding the young.

But what's the basis of your asserting that it was a bogey; has it been conclusively proved? If yes then the conspirators should be booked. There should be a logical end to the whole affair. Sadly the backlog is so much that we are waking up to Netaji files or Tashkent files now!

Predominant role of TV in life as well as politics has altered many previous notions. The wide reach of SM similarly has added depth to Democracy. Yet, a deeper look hints at increasing distance and disenchantment of people with political action, barring some entertainment value.

Politics, by definition, denotes demolishing hierarchy but, in effect, creates a deep-rooted hierarchical framework. Democracy is nothing but a well laid out organisational structure with diverse powers and functions distributed somewhat arbitrarily through merit or manipulation.

Ordinary citizens are powerless to make any difference to the affairs of the state unless they form large groups akin to political parties. Local consultative process is almost absent which creates a huge chasm between the highest and lowest poles of the Constitutional framework.

There is no democratically functioning political party in a country of 1.366b population like India. Personality based politics privileges triviality over ideology. The Constitution itself seems to be disputed in view of demands like Hindu Rashtra and open attacks on secularism.

Savitri Era Party aims at a fully rational functioning of Democracy leading to a harmonious society. Although it would seem naïveté to expect such a state of affair in the present circumstances, it's confident of this Evolutionary march as envisaged by The Mother & Sri Aurobindo.

Savitri Era Religion respects all faiths and traditions to avoid hatred. It encourages an intellectual environment without outright rejection of Marxist discourse. Civil Society norms are a priority and espousing Democracy, Modernity, and Scientific attitude is a responsibility.

Darshan Day tomorrow. This is what The Mother wrote about the feminist movement on July 7, 1916. https://t.co/MNhmyVksaI #MirraAlfassa #SriAurobindo #SavitriEra #FiveDreams #WorldUnion #WW1 #Feminism @NathTusar

The Mother's final arrival in Puducherry on April 24, 1920 to November 17, 1973, when she passed away is a long history coinciding with momentous events taking place in India as well as the world. Let's hope, more are more Indians take interest in knowing about her contributions.

Someone just chided me to be childish and remembering The Mother on the Darshan Day, it's a great blessing. Of course, the challenge is to move from the childish arena towards the child-like domain. https://t.co/5oUQL7WcnL #MirraAlfassa #SriAurobindo #DarshanDay #BeLikeAFlower

What's guarantee that she @ShefVaidya won't do a @priyankac19 or @Dr_Uditraj ? It's only a matter of time and convenience. (“When the facts change, I change my mind." -Keynes). The original phrase is Aaya Ram Gaya Ram https://t.co/KF7t7PdUGd

She @ShefVaidya may be a Navagunjara. [Finally, a child in the crowd blurts out that the emperor is wearing nothing at all and the cry is then taken up by others. The emperor realizes the assertion is true but continues the procession.] https://t.co/miDSVqsLke

I'm not thorough on the details nor much interested in this particular case. The Courts are the ultimate authority and personal feelings should wait. Some involvement however can't be ruled out, as of date.

Expressing beliefs and conjectures are staple of SM but I feel certain people should be responsible and fair. Your views as an Hindutva activist often lacks that and clashes with likely civil society response. Even the language of a person like @arvindneela has coarsened of late.

Remembering Aravind N. Das (1949-2000) whose India Invented on DD3 used to be such a breath of fresh air. Also Surendra Pratap Singh (1948-1997) who changed the news scenario with his Aaj Tak. Sensational murder of Irfan Hussain, a fine cartoonist is also etched on the mind still

Ancient Egyptian civilization is where the roots of most religions and culture lie but is never discussed much. Most Indian temple architecture and sculpture owe their origin to it. There are much other indebtedness in mythology, legends, philosophy, etc. https://t.co/5rZRUb7fsG

14 great men in pairs John Milton and Milton Friedman, Benjamin Franklin and Walter Benjamin, Alexander the Great and Samuel Alexander, Erasmus of Rotterdam and Erasmus Darwin, Edmund Spenser and Herbert Spencer, Bertrand Russell and Peter Russell, Giordano Bruno and Bruno Latour

Democracy is like a dress that hides but doesn't eliminate ugly realities. Sri Aurobindo relies more on the transformation of human nature and evolution of an ethical environment than incremental reforms for bringing about any lasting change in different organisational frameworks

As actual history including ordinary happenings have begun to be seen as evolutionary unfolding since at least Hegel, present imperfections have to be looked upon as part of the churning with Sri Aurobindo's equanimity in the absence of a clear perception of what helps or hinders

I tweeted against Modi before and after his election. I didn't oppose any govt policy or action as it's its right and wisdom. I started supporting the govt as it went soft on Hindutva. I want Modi to have the second and final term, but deplore his washing feet of fellow citizens. https://t.co/T1D1Oqpgy5

Because Hindutva is invested in the past and doesn't subscribe to the evolutionary vision of Sri Aurobindo. Present RSS top brass fortunately appears to be aware of this issue and is trying to make amends, albeit in fits and starts. Open debate needed involving all stake holders.

While it's difficult to disagree with Prof. Avijit Pathak, we have to give the devil his due. No one will endorse violence in a civil society but the young revolutionaries risking their lives against the British rulers certainly deserve respect and not denigration. BJP does that.

Effect of the influence of mythology which glorify monarchy. Being in awe of some high and mighty is part of human insecurity. Dynasty provides a space for women also that serves other human imaginations.

While some level of glorification of the past and denigration of the present is understandable, the article doesn't disclose the source of any chance of change. Sri Aurobindo's Vedic Evolutionary vision however provides the corrective to a similar objection to Nietzschean version

The Vedic Evolutionary universality preached by The Mother & Sri Aurobindo is for everyone on this planet and not for any particular country or continent. They visualise coexistence of diverse cultures and innovations under the umbrella of #WorldUnion the only viable future setup

Children are taking birth everyday and new persons are joining Twitter. So repeating the life changing path shown by The Mother & Sri Aurobindo by sowing the seeds of future Evolution is necessary for the sake of education. Books can help once someone develops basic appreciation.

Well-oiled ecosystems around Gandhi, Nehru, Lohia, Ambedkar, Savarkar, and other local figures are a reality today but unfortunately Sri Aurobindo has been kept imprisoned by the Ashram. He is sure to become a political rallying point and informing the modern day youth is needed.

Science and technology made a steady progress during their lifetime (1872-1973), but The Mother & Sri Aurobindo remained steadfast in their reliance on self-culture for all changes including transformation of the body. Besides, they took enough pains to write to subvert narrative

Nothing is self-evident truth since nothing definitively is known about our life or understanding. So a safe characterisation of all we know or think is a belief system or narrative. The Mother & Sri Aurobindo have forged a new narrative which needs to be pushed to topple others.

The tension between the individual and society is ordinarily given a political treatment but The Mother & Sri Aurobindo point to a psychological interconnectedness signifying the possibility of harmony replacing the present discord. They also tell of the Vedic domains of virtue.

Recommending food or films is quite common but saying something good about Sri Aurobindo is like perdition. Many think it's their personal affair which is a warped perception of what Mother & SA represent. Not only they visualise an ideal collective life but also collective yoga.

It's not unknown how some modern gurus of India have built empires by shouting from the rooftops. A similar push for Sri Aurobindo is yet to come. The earlier scattered approach and stress on grassroots or percolating effect seem no longer a success formula. Top-down is the rule.

There are any number of contentious issues upon which RW intellectuals harbour divergent views. These are pushed under the carpet but when right occasion arises the views of Sri Aurobindo will reign by reining in obscurantist positions. Supremacy of Sri Aurobindo is unassailable.

Accessing Sri Aurobindo's thought is time consuming and most institutional avenues prefer meditation. Breaking this barrier is important and inculcating an intellectual culture (like the books by Rod Hemsell) among the defendants of Hindu cause is crucial. https://t.co/ThGA8Abnu4

Buddhism appears to be an amalgam of Jainism and Hinduism but instead of a reform movement, it has fallen prey to empty rituals and methods and is also patronised by the Left in the West to build an ecosystem. Sri Aurobindo is the only genuine teacher to bridge theoretical gaps. https://t.co/bq2JUCFix9

No political party or religious sect wants followers to be intellectually active; they all love a good crowd. Savitri Era on the other hand is a rationality based religion meant for the thinking mind with modern attitude. Defending right of citizens to think and act is priority.

Many would readily express their opposition to castes but no political party is willing to take steps in that direction. Savitri Era Party has this priority of removing castes from Indian Constitution so that all citizens attain equality after so many decades of the Independence.

The ritualistic and obscurantist image of the Veda has undergone a makeover in the hands of Sri Aurobindo. The real meaning of the Varna system or the castes has been revealed by him overturning the birth-based conception to an aptitude-linked one. So discrimination need to stop.

If one doesn't subscribe to Divine manifestation of Sri Aurobindo and continuing action then a mere scholarly appreciation of his works doesn't mean much. Because his vast and diverse writings don't really add up to anything; can be utterly confusing. But he personifies Evolution

It's therefore absolutely necessary to be clear about the background of Sri Aurobindo's ideas and how he synthesises Western speculative wisdom with Vedic Evolutionary vision. The Philosophy of Evolution by Rod Hemsell is an excellent overview on the topic https://t.co/TvlkycHyK7

People of my generation have been brought up on distorted history. Just read a thread by a foreigner recounting assassination of Gandhi and other "truths." Unless we write down our own history correctly, anyone can challenge the facts and put our academic standards to shame. Sad!

Whether it is TI, AT, MT, or SS/S/D, a certain agenda drives them and not the urge to establish the truth. Taking revenge or victimhood is a dominant sentiment always. Of course, everyone is toiling for some money or name and so, history without any slant has a scant possibility.

Not being a traditional Ashram, the term Ashramite also is not without problems. Simple Member or Resident may do the job. Thanks.

For us the devotees of course these outward details or a chronological account of their gradual progress in spiritual realisation are just a distraction but some dates are important pointers of planetary Evolution like WWI or Hitler hoping to be in Buckingham Palace on August 15.

Sri Aurobindo arrived in Puducherry on April 4, 1910 at the age of 37 which marks an important turning point in his life. The Mother would come four years later on March 29, 1914 and they launch the monthly magazine ARYA on August 15, 1914. Why #August15? https://t.co/q62YroLgoG

Raja Ram Mohan Roy was born on May 22, 1772, Giuseppe Mazzini died on March 10, 1872; and Sri Aurobindo was born on August 15, 1872. William Carey arrived in India in 1793; Sri Aurobindo returned in 1893. Interplay of diverse ideological strands is obvious https://t.co/wLA9S3iEMQ

Sri Aurobindo is caustic in his criticism of religion including Hinduism. While delivering the Veda from the clutches of rituals is one of his great breakthroughs, throwing away the crutches of external props in favour of living within is his idea of Yoga. https://t.co/dz2ISSOAT7

Which biography of Sri Aurobindo matches this description? Lamentably, perhaps none. Let's hope @SpiritWithBody undertakes
[too much must not be expected from any humble effort to produce, rather a pleasing but faithful miniature, than a grand and commanding full-sized portrait.]

Books of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo are teachers and accepting any other person as Guru or guide is a seed of distortion...be strict with oneself to have a solid grounding in reading in one's thirties and forties. That's the best gift one can give oneself. https://t.co/IrtWUAR9S7

The question is why this pathetic need to wallow in the mud of Twitter after having such lofty experiences; the function of a rational posture (self-interest and self-protection) seems to be a reflex action and never vanishes. Further ordinary prudence is vital in initial stages.

The Mother came to #Puducherry to meet Sri Aurobindo on March 29, 1914. This single event is the only tangible reason to believe that there is some meaning in our existence and what all the philosophies and religions have been searching for will certainly be found out. Gratitude.

No historian would find it relevant vis-à-vis the World Wars or Independence of India. Even her contribution in shaping Sri Aurobindo's philosophy and ideal of human unity is still underappreciated. #TheMother however is busy with her Evolutionary task of divinisation of the body

Gang Neher near Muradnagar (UP) hosts many festivals round the year but why no one from the Hindutva camp cares for a facelift of the area is a mystery. High sounding lectures on Dharma are futile if basic facilities are not provided on ground. No one's aesthetic sense is pricked https://t.co/9dfi2PLHPa

Bhandara or distribution of free food is common in North India on different religious occasions. However, the protein content is negligible despite rise in prosperity. I haven't seen any Hindutva activist discussing this issue of raising the quality of the diet. Why such laxity?

Islam as an entity or agency is anomalous

Five dreams of Sri Aurobindo form a luminous roadmap for the mankind. An Evolutionary leap from the present state to a Supramental harmony might sound utopian but #SriAurobindo is emphatic about the possibility. So a federation evolving from Indian soil is a distinct eventuality.

Current election scenario is very much indicative of a plural polity based on regional aggrandisement concealing fissiparous tendencies. So from the Evolutionary point of view neither Nehruvian nor Hindutva national cohesiveness is a success. Languages reflect genuine nationhood.

We had high hopes in 2014 that Sri Aurobindo would now adorn the centrestage but after checking a large number of tweets it's evident that even in 2019 he is nowhere near anyone's wishlist. Really an unfortunate aspect for a nation which reserves ignominy for the greatest Indian.

Physical manifestation is one concept we associate unwaveringly with The Mother & Sri Aurobindo. Even the highest divine plenitude must be visible or perceptible here; that's our demand and prayer. Moreover it's not an idle waiting for the results but to imbue every act with that

Pleasant sentiments to fight boredom or depression! But who will do that? And why no one is doing it instead of fiddling with alphabets here. So being practical and setting realisable goals and reject gossip is the key. Reading Sri Aurobindo can tell more about future scenarios.

Modern empires are in the cyberspace now; geography perhaps matters less, conquering minds matter. https://t.co/KGEL4hrDQZ

Indians were regularly fighting and killing each other all through the history but some are shifting the blame to other religions. Palace intrigues in hundred of kingdoms are not fiction but many want us to believe that everyone was acting as per Dharma with evidence from poetry.
https://twitter.com/SavitriEraParty/status/1109772708668035073?s=19
Indeed, I don't follow you much since there are glaring spaces or gaping holes between your sentences as well as logic. You expect the enemy to be sympathetic to your sentiments and play a friendly tournament like Imran Khan playing recently. (Expect a few more like NZ and Mali!)
Sri Aurobindo is regularly accused as an escapist and a slew of 'mudslinging' has been documented by Peter Heehs in his book, The Lives of Sri Aurobindo. A masterly work but also famous for its skew. Parts of it are available online free.
Odisha was busy fighting for a separate State and the leaders then were of a different make; many were poets with a universal outlook. No wonder, Odisha admires Sri Aurobindo at a mass level. Sri Aurobindo too was not enthusiastic about Subhas; saw some strains of negative energy
Scholarship is a lifelong affair and narratives keep changing. Apart from his intellectual prowess, Sri Aurobindo did disclose in public (Uttarpara speech) that he can see the future, unlike other mortals. Contesting that claim is way beyond our faculties. https://t.co/6JSzvwkDPU
I have recommended this book for more than a dozen times since 2012. https://t.co/RfubnzjtOg
Twitter being an open platform, all kinds of views need to be respected. Uninformed or unpalatable opinions also need to be circulated so that they come to the notice of a bigger audience leading to a wider engagement and animated debate. “A drop of ink may make a million think.”
I highlighted the fact of man killing man. Between cults, between ethnicities, between kingdoms, between rival businesses, so on and so forth. In most cases there is no credible history. However, such facts are being used dishonestly for spreading hatred against a specific target
I see only one difference. I'm born in a Democracy but I don't have any right to question the actions of past Kings since they were safeguarding their self-interest as well as ethics. They were sovereign and were acting as per law. But instead of them you tacitly blame religions.
Last two decades brought enormous prosperity to a huge number of Indians but they are unable to enjoy their wealth and good life due to this victimhood and whining propagated against imaginary enemies. So I take it as Divine plan to teach vairagya as has been always through ages.
https://twitter.com/NathTusar/status/1109874879589867520?s=19
I reiterate that past Kings are beyond the purview of Democratic interrogation. Discussing them is like wrestling with ghosts. Conflating issues won't bring clarity but your one point agenda is to target the people of a particular religion disregarding centuries of co-existence.
See I'm arguing that whatever happened in the past is by Monarchs who are beyond Democratic or legal interrogation. So when you bring in Islam as an entity or agency, it's anomalous. What the kings did or didn't should be the point of attention but is of no avail. @fourfoldvision
Might be, you may be right; but I have no right to question the wisdom of past kings. But giving it a religious colour is sectarian which I'm not willing to buy.
Just like Marx shouldn't be blamed for what Jyoti Basu did to WB, similarly all wrong actions of men shouldn't be put at the door of their religion. Both of us adore The Mother but differ. So perspectives relating to power, politics, self-interest are at fault. Such nuance needed
Okay, that's a good theoretical beginning though not without problems. One is the "many lives" of great men and on which to focus or draw inspiration from. Like, many great philosophers and thinkers are despised because of their Nazi connection. But still what you say has merit.

This chowkidar syndrome is so hilarious and ridiculous. To believe that there is no corruption in the govt is so atrocious. Yes, there's so much sophistication in finance now that it's impossible to trace or prove any. But large contracts like in Highways surely aren't given free

May be you are privy to insider information to make such bold claims but as an ordinary citizen I have my doubts. Besides, these aspects have become so normal that no one bothers. Media avoids small sums. Election funding is never questioned. But ultimately Democracy is to blame.

I have already said that what the kings did is none of my concern. I don't know, where I'm dishonest. As an academic subject it's okay but using certain episodes of history for arousing passion and political mobilisation is not a desirable thing. However, Democracy gives freedom.
https://twitter.com/NathTusar/status/1110009487329509376?s=19
All along I have been reading the books by The Mother & Sri Aurobindo. I don't want to corrupt my thinking by reading such books. I think, you should avoid too unless you are into academic research. Can't follow what you're saying exactly and why should it happen that way at all.

Election time is the most ideal moment to understand how various States are absolutely different from each other since local politicians matter. The power of language is best in display during this time right from street corners to TV studios. So Sovereignty is the right solution

Selling Modi brand in 2014 looks justified given the enormous odds he was against both within and outside. But repeating the same formula in 2019 seems jaded since the Party or Ideology should have assumed prominence by now. Otherwise Development is merely a synonym of Government

Concentrating on the present by relying on common sense is important. Most people are agenda driven and out to misguide. They flout logic, give a spin to events, and invariably tend to invoke the past or some imagined scenario. No one tells the truth here; sad reality of Twitter.

Spiritual significance of flowers by The Mother and Psychological interpretation of Vedic deities by Sri Aurobindo are original works and have much in common. Both highlight ethics and virtues without being tethered to any rewards mechanism of Karma theory https://t.co/r7Z8aybMq8

While the theories of Presocratic philosophers on natural elements like earth, air, fire, and water are well known, Vedic pronouncements on the same like agni etc are not very popular. Sri Aurobindo explains them as rungs of consciousness not far removed from inquiries in physics

Religions are often thought of as glass paperweights with fixed interior decorative motifs but Sri Aurobindo thinks that they are liable to evolve. So, while the present mosaic of religions seem quite stable, a more kaleidoscopic scenario will emerge. Savitri Erans must be ready.

Savitri Era of those who adore,
Om Sri Aurobindo & The Mother.
Those owing allegiance to any of the present crop of religions can't obviously claim admission to Savitri Era Religion and hence it's better to make the choice early without indulging in self-deception, any further.

Sri Aurobindo spoke of #WorldUnion in his August 14, 1947 radio broadcast and visualised a free association of free nations. States of India and Pakistan being Sovereign and forming a Federation would be a step in that direction. If not done peacefully, unrest is sure to happen.

Considering the fact that humans have been inhabiting this planet since one lakh years, creativity relating to women by men through art, architecture, poetry, literature, music, and movies is recent. So much of content but women, unfortunately, are deprived of enjoying sentiment.

Many RW handles like @sanjeevsanyal @followsanjeev @dharmadispatch apart from @esamskritiindia @IndiaFactsOrg @Pragyata_ @prekshaajournal etc. deal with religion but Savitri Era Learning Forum (SELF) has been disseminating an Integral view on Sri Aurobindo since 2005. @NathTusar

AAP seems to have retained its edge in Delhi and it would be interesting if Kejriwal gets to play the role of Kingmaker when BJP will be scrambling for stitching up a simple majority on May 23, 2019. (Pic from election campaign of @AtishiAAP in East Delhi on March 26, 2019). https://t.co/B7JmdmppQu

Almost all of Sri Aurobindo's writings can be said to be incomplete or work in process. He was never satisfied; always intended to revise. Even The Life Divine can be seen as incomplete as his essays (1949-50) revealing Mind of Light remained inconclusive. https://t.co/l3XsvPFLuM

Thanks. Please go through the essay by Seth Farber on Savitri by Sri Aurobindo. The Message of Sri Aurobindo: God, Romantic Love, and Physical Immortality https://t.co/CI8Inrv7IG

Instead of the usual sense of love, the Vedic figures of Mitra and Varuna signifying fraternity can be the model for the future society. Such a scenario of course is unthinkable at present, but the fourfold forms a fundamental structure of any organisation or moulds of Evolution.

Instead of finding fault with those particular persons, it'd be in order to check why or how such things happen, with a broader perspective. There's no example of any system or organisation running in a rational manner. Undeserved success is almost a rule, with events conspiring.

The Mother & Sri Aurobindo used to tolerate minor irritants in order to fight bigger adversaries. Events working out in ignorance was their preferred option than miraculous intervention. Hence it's difficult to identify whom Evolution backs as it also invites periodical setbacks.

Evolutionary teleology of Sri Aurobindo allows to think and act on individual, universal, and transcendent levels simultaneously. That's the meaning of Integral yoga which is open ended and independent of any fixed method. The Mother however is at the heart of any such endeavour.

Sri Aurobindo’s "final dream was a step in evolution which would raise man to a higher and larger consciousness and begin the solution of the problems" https://t.co/hC4bK2ITaC
Such a vision obviously is beyond any particular party or country and can sprout in any corner of world.

No need for any temple, ritual, or learning Sanskrit

Tweets in original by @SavitriEraParty and @NathTusar

SM is crowded by adolescents and even older people seem eager to mimic them. Serious thought gets drowned under humour and banter. But an underlying narrative like the Vedic Vritra persists. So the task for the followers of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo is to invoke Mitra and Varuna

Sri Aurobindo has accomplished a great task of presenting the wisdom of the Veda, Upanishads, and other important texts of Indian philosophy in English. Thus the need to learn Sanskrit or read originals is obviated. Further, he infuses the power of the mantra in his poem SAVITRI.

Science promised an era of transparency but AI smacks of a realm of Kafkaesque conspiracy. The snares of big data and deep state are ever increasing keeping pace with arms race. Carbon footprint and global warming hang like the sword of Damocles. Sri Aurobindo is the solution.

The charisma of business-oriented gurus is so prevalent now that the young and educated in India don't recognise the value Sri Aurobindo. Parochial mentality, similarly, prevents the Westerners from assimilating Sri Aurobindo's insights. But all resistance to Evolution is in vain

While it's not uncommon to look at Congress as a symbol of modern and liberal values, voting for the present Congress dynasty is opposite of that. Similarly, despite the dismal record of RSS in the past, the way the present govt is trying to redefine collective living gives hope.

Interestingly, it's necessary to make a distinction between Modi's "performance" and govt performance. Modi consistently resorts to theatre considering large uneducated masses divided by languages. Optics comes in handy here and can be seen as a tribute to power of folk theatres.

Aligning the ideological antenna in the right direction is extremely important at a time of tidal waves of propaganda, disinformation, and widespread confusion. The Mother & Sri Aurobindo have established a firm outlook for the future but without a corresponding framework to grip

The Ashram and Auroville models obviously are utterly inadequate to address the countless issues faced by the humanity. Political intervention therefore is absolutely necessary for giving shape to the dreams of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo and fighting against the onslaught of evil

The Mother no doubt was acting through the Congress to some extent but the Emergency came after she passed away. No political party at present is sympathetic to #FiveDreams or #WorldUnion of Sri Aurobindo. So contesting elections as independents is only recourse for his followers

Many devotees of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo are working for Companies or other govt agencies. Some are with Ashrams and Centres for whom annihilation of ego is the priority. Most others are confined within personal or professional affair. They needn't bother about political foray

A rare instance where Sri Aurobindo approvingly hints at intellect's potential of expressing fraternity without mentioning a spiritual turn. Such a prospect however looks improbable when gender dynamics comes into picture to exert extraneous emotions. https://t.co/lX45lJHsyV

RSS inclination for uniformity is apparent in this MBC movement (sic) prior to elections. Individual differences and speciality should be celebrated and not painting everyone with the same brush. Too much of loyalty is suspect; let's hope it doesn't degenerate to a synonym of BC!

Do whatever you like to education but never forget the contributions of pioneers like Ram Mohan Roy, Keshub Chunder Sen, Iswar Chandra Vidyasagar, and Bankim Chandra Chatterjee for whom India is what it is today. The Evolutionary arrow should guide policy and not blind idiocy.

Sri Aurobindo's Bengali writings (Dharma: 1909-10) contain many of his ideas in concise form that were expanded or commented upon later (Arya: 1914-21). This volume is a must read as consummation of intellectual ferment of the past one hundred years.

Intellectual lethargy can be an underlying factor for fostering the easier yoga for taming the ego course. The Mother & Sri Aurobindo however encourage to pursue unfamiliar and difficult things and not merely repetitive or mechanical acts. Shirking challenges can mean stagnation.

Intellectuals galore but right understanding of things is a rarity as plethora of tweets bombarded every minute prove. Political partisanship as well as textual anaemia is turning people myopic or jaundiced. The Mother & Sri Aurobindo offer right mix of rationality and intuitive

Don't judge a college from its building; don't judge an intellectual by his standing. Internet has enabled availability of resources but human preference is irrational; self-interest drives paradigms; jealousy prevents collaboration. Words of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo will win.

Glorifying lower grade professions may be vote catching techniques but greatness of a nation is dependent upon intellect. Attaining the qualities of a Brahmana as represented by the Vedic Varuna - or even by the name Bharata - must receive priority in thought, speech, and action.

Varna, castes, and professions are being debated now and a churning is needed to understand the significance of Sri Aurobindo's insights. On Twitter however there are two castes: Upper castes put their comment above a tweet while lower caste people append their submissions below.

Savitri Era Party has a practical approach and been advocating things based on common sense like no need to learn Sanskrit. Further, 1) Sovereignty to States; 2) support for Democracy, Modernity, and Science; 3) opposing Astrology, Mythology, and Rituals; & 4) no to Reservations.

Savitri Era Party is not interested in glorifying the past or defending someone. Everyone must be subjected to ruthless critical scrutiny. Autonomy and freedom of individuals must be respected not merely as a political ideal but also for the Evolutionary ontological stipulations.

A common surname in Odisha, Swain is a distortion of Swami like Gosain is of Goswami i.e., Master of light and knowlege. @ashoswai is ably playing his role as a spokesperson like other Odias @sambitswaraj & @PandaJay. @Sampadananda & @devduttmyth also straddle the national scene.

#ManoharParrikar is my age. Unfortunately, his much admired talent or knowledge couldn't be harnessed at the national level in any noticeable manner. It'd be interesting to popularise and implement his philosophy of Development, if any, as a mark of genuine tribute to the leader.

Yoga of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo aims at Divine manifestation & physical immortality the modalities or dynamics of which is difficult to elaborate at present but they certainly don't recommend poverty or austerity and instead, want life to be suffused with Divine consciousness.

All life is Yoga forms a fundamental principle whereby there is no need for any temple or ritual. Each moment and each action is occasion for sincerity or devotion. Feeling the presence of Divine significance everywhere is an advance over all old religions and their stipulations.

Decoupling Sri Aurobindo's political vision from Hindutva obscurantism is as important as demolishing the perception of him being equivalent to Ashram. Writing the last chapter of The Life Divine in 1940, he refuted all erroneous impressions of his philosophy being just monastic.

The whole oeuvre of Sri Aurobindo (now available online https://t.co/0dyMjh8HXA) easily forms a University of interdisciplinary studies. The defenders of Hindu cause however are more busy with archeological evidences for Sarasvati River and Universities at Mohenjodaro and Harappa

Democracy entails freedom for citizens without any attempt to define them or label them. So, current use of words like patriot, chowkidar, or anti-national patently amounts to throttling Democratic ethos. Those dreaming of a theocratic State are of course unlikely to be troubled.

Hindutva parivar has been singularly ineffective in bringing out any significant achievement or vision during last five years. Election victory is not indicative of ideological supremacy and hence reformulation of national policy with Sri Aurobindo getting primacy is a priority.

Although, The Mother & Sri Aurobindo denied any intention of forming a new region, their writings have the capacity to strike at the root of dominant religions. Besides, it'd be naïve to accept that they didn't understand what they were doing by attracting more an more devotees.

All those who are clinging to their Hindu roots must ask a question to themselves repeatedly: Why did The Mother come to Puducherry on March 29, 1914? Her single point mission and sacrifice demands exclusive loyalty, dedication, and collaboration. Mixing other faiths is an insult

Those who benefited from a decade long UPA rule are restive to restore the old order. No, stop that instinct to reinstate an anti-Democratic and anti-Evolutionary set up. A second term for the present regime is justified but it looks like to be a much wider rainbow coalition.

The transition from a dip pen to a fountain pen was a big technological progress in our childhood. Journey of science and engineering is on but commensurate benefits, in many spheres, are not reaching common people. May be they don't need it but many lack education and awareness.

For instance, a technology like an ordinary boat is still so relevant and useful where nothing else is available, affordable, or feasible. Family skills also matter as no diploma or licence is required. Utility of bicycles or bullock carts similarly seem indispensable even today. https://t.co/B79lApEKju

I have been using Twitter since 2012 for expressing my views as @SavitriEraParty and @NathTusar. Besides, my blog at https://t.co/gkJmG83eGJ is in operation since 2005. (Photo from Ashram at Talla Ramgarh, Uttarakhand on February 21, 2019) https://t.co/QTTnoZ2gBG (Last post for Google+)
Savitri Era of those who adore,
Om Sri Aurobindo and The Mother.

The Mother’s four powers resemble the four Vedic suns and Varna system. A similar taxonomy occurs in Vaishnava system too. Heidegger’s fourfold of course is a bit different. But still no harm in conceiving the universe standing on these four firm pillars] https://t.co/lCYkOMhLsP

The division is difficult to reconcile and so their qualities. Vedic feminine figures like Ila, Mahi, and Saraswati may bear rudimentary resemblance to Blake's counterparts. Btw Sri Aurobindo's impression of Blake in his The Future Poetry is worth perusing https://t.co/rLujpGKI5d
1) The Mother's symbol https://t.co/Dn4lvCA9nM
The four powers also resemble the Vedic suns.
2) Psychological perfection
Sri Aurobindo talks about four different manifestations of sun, viz., Varuna, Aryaman, Mitra, and Bhaga in his "The Secret of the Veda." These are relatively more primordial and potent principles which should find a place in your otherwise admirable post. https://t.co/sqKIa6vYhR

Writings of Sri Aurobindo bring to mind
Poets, philosophers, and prophets:
Homer, Heraclitus, Plato, Plotinus,
Dante, Goethe, Milton, Blake,
Vico, Herder, Fichte, Mazzini,
Hegel, Nietzsche, Bergson, James,
Teilhard, Jung, Assagioli, Alexander,
Whitehead, Steiner, Gebser, Wilber.

Not very sure but my impression is that people in the West are eager about application, system, method, skill, outcome, etc. Even Chaudhuri emphasised upon Meditation and other collective activities. Certainly part of Integral Yoga but thorough understanding should be a priority.

Political slugfest intensifies during elections with long-term issues pushed to the background. But Yoga, Veda, or Dharma are perennial challenges which demand commitment and consistency. Aspiration for the descent of Supramental consciousness is the primary task in Integral Yoga

The Mother & Sri Aurobindo popularised the Integral notion of Evolution of the whole mankind without any geographical, cultural, or religious segregation. Those who suffer from some national exceptionalism must discover how the concept of human unity is the fulcrum of the future.

Books by Satprem can easily be categorised as ahead of their time but the very title of one of his famous works, The Mind of the Cells itself indicates the profundity of our existence. Aspiration of the Earth consciousness similarly gives the image of a heart beat like phenomenon

A deluge of New Age books and cults have prevented a genuine work like Mother's Agenda getting the attention it deserves. Further, pop-science and pop-psychology publications mushroom to encash in the boom. Satprem however remains as an authentic explorer of higher consciousness.

Development is a prime concern of a govt and some progress will happen in the course of five years. So supporters being euphoric about every bit of achievement is but juvenile. Further not giving credit to previous regimes amounts to deception. Surely we need more sophistication.

Marxist discourse in India is criticised all the while but it continues without any corrective. While their antipathy towards Hindutva or Modi is understandable, silence on a great scholar like Sri Aurobindo is totally incomprehensible. Sadly they haven't read a page of his works

Cold war might have ended long back but intellectual cold war continues. Marxists can't be ignored. Some rigorous scholarship of 20th century belongs to them while top stars of the other end of the spectrum have paled. So Sri Aurobindo becomes all the more important and relevant.

Rock 'n' roll is passé; Twitter revels in mock & troll. Shooting a rejoinder is the first instinct instead of understanding the thrust of a tweet or respecting the worldview of the person and his motivation. That one's own stand is just another opinion and not global is forgotten

Speaking of trolling many find it convenient to quote from Thoughts and Aphorisms of Sri Aurobindo to trounce an adversary. Now that copy and paste handles by young women are proliferating to disseminate the wisdom of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo, a certain slant can't be ruled out

Sri Aurobindo is often characterised as a revolutionary from Bengal or yogi of Puducherry. Beyond it, Indians don't consider it their responsibility to explore or assimilate. Young educated Indians must learn to get rid of superficial nationalism, and plunge into The Life Divine.

Defenders of Hindu cause keep on complaining about suffering of their ancestors owing to tyranny of rulers but the ontological dimension is never discussed. Sri Aurobindo has examined and explained the Karma theory in the light of Evolutionary necessity where pain is part of plan

Marxists have the birthright to be politically correct and reject the caste system but defenders of Hindu cause shouldn't shy away from the issue. What Sri Aurobindo explains in terms of Vedic principles for social machinery need to be factored in, in formulating modern policies.

Writings of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo do give an insight into Science of Living and Planes and Parts of our Being. They are not part of general education or professional courses. So the responsibility of learning these basic facts and one's role in Evolution is upon each person.

As long as there are no conclusive proofs, whatever science has disclosed so far must be respected. Rival narratives like Colonial, Marxist, or Hindutva must be scrutinized ruthlessly without partisan perspectives. Sri Aurobindo inaugurated such a venture. https://t.co/mlWMk8zYno

Binary has become a hated word but there is something intrinsic to it. At least, there's no escape from the right and left hemispheres of our Cerebrum. Sri Aurobindo talks of Integral Advaita in The Life Divine but by always taking care that he doesn't stray too much away from Sat-Chit-Ananda https://t.co/yRjB3qOrdI

Nehru's task as the first Prime Minister was to erase the obscurantist opinions of Gandhi in order to inaugurate a modern nation. Modi has similarly been successful to whitewash Hindutva to such an extent that it's no longer recognisable. Or should we give credit to Mohan Bhagwat?
