It's undeniable that India has lost respect during the Modi tenure. While he was trying his best to act as a seasoned statesman through his costumes, lack of intellectual muscle was apparent. The ideology his party represents is medieval and obscurantist. The lost ten years, alas!
I don't agree that Modi is autocratic or megalomaniac by nature. He used these methods to gain supremacy in the party. Indira Gandhi had to split Congress. Modi was in a similar situation and rivals were many. But not addressing a press conference spread his image as an ignorant.
Like Indira Gandhi, he tried to draw power directly from the people by bypassing the party. He showed that he is not accountable to media. All part of image build up. But when ennui sets in and fatigue occurs, votes also dry up. Perhaps that stage has arrived thanks to democracy.
This is the fourth revolution I'm witnessing. I supported and worked for the JP movement. I also supported the nationwide campaign of V.P. Singh. I had supported Kejriwal's agitation for a while. Present electoral fight for unseating Modi, accentuated by DR's videos, is momentous.
Congress has started pondering over ideology and seems willing to rectify past mistakes of eclipsing many streams of thought. Still neither Congress nor Hindutva can be relied upon for a right kind of narrative. Savitri Era Party is trying to incorporate Sri Aurobindo's viewpoint.
Many educated Indians have wasted precious years of their lives by chasing the mirage of Hindutva ideology. They should rethink their priorities in the wake up electoral loss. Savitri Era Religion (2006) and Savitri Era Party (2007) are right avenues for all with modern mentality.
Reading the books of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo gives clarity on things and raises the quality of one's perception. Old narratives start fading and new possibilities open up. Savitri Era Party has been offering this alternative since 2007 and many have benefited from its campaign.
Sri Aurobindo was missing in the school text books as a result of which two three generations couldn't know about him. Media coverage of him too was negligible. Books and journal articles never quoted him. Politicians were totally unaware of him. But I know for the last 60 years.
Sri Aurobindo shouldn't be compared with Vivekananda, Tagore, Subhas, or Gandhi. Nor with Ambedkar, Savarkar, Lohia, or Periyar. The Mother & Sri Aurobindo are the one Supreme Divine without any connection with any past religion or philosophy. Worshipping other gods is forbidden.
Unlike the Socialists, Communists in India were against the castes. But, interestingly, they have been together in fighting BJP which took up the Hindu plank. Thus, Mandal vs Kamandal war continues. Besides, BJP couldn't enrol the secular and liberal section of Hindus of Congress.
Sri Aurobindo wrote The Life Divine when uncertainty and incompleteness were in vogue through Quantum physics. They also crept into philosophy through Deconstruction and postmodernism. The evolutionary schema of Sri Aurobindo is also open ended but it's firm on Harmony as outcome.
The basic principle is our equality as human beings and citizens of a democratic country. Spreading hatred against others in the pretext of some tribalism can't have a better validity. The Mother & Sri Aurobindo represent human unity and world peace. Following them can transform.
Two books of Sri Aurobindo are very important. They are, The Life Divine and The Synthesis of Yoga. It's not necessary to understand the content but just reading them page after page can bring a very different kind of experience. Many don't believe in spirituality but it changes.
Many devotees of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo feel that politics is dirty but to vote for the right party is also a responsibility. I have been making it clear that Hindutva is opposed to our ideal and authoritarian tendencies of Modi are anti-democratic in nature. Change is needed.

Savitri Era Religion is a global phenomenon. Countless people worldwide have been inspired by The Mother & Sri Aurobindo and their direct disciples who were both scholars as well as devotees. Savitri Era Party too doesn't insist on borders when seeking human unity and world peace.
The philosophy of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo shouldn't be identified with Ashram, its branch in Delhi, or different Centres. Each place has some good features but also some undesirable aspects. So learning from books is the best way in this path. Lots of videos also are available.
In the ontology of Sri Aurobindo, the world and all that is happening in the flow of time are seamlessly Divine. History, therefore, has evolutionary significance. But when it comes to yoga, willful forgetting has many advantages. In politics too selective amnesia is a necessity.

Apart from the Partition, the Constitution of India divided the country into two factions of citizens. The Scheduled Castes and Tribes and the rest of the people. India can never become a modern nation unless everyone is entitled to equal treatment. Creamy layer shouldn't benefit.
Everyone is an expert on Advaita Vedanta. They are also aware of Kashmir Shaivism. But reading The Life Divine of Sri Aurobindo can teach much more than the traditional commentators. Understanding the inner significance of Veda is also crucial for a complete ontological picture.
Political philosophy and politics are two different arenas. Theoretically all sorts of ethics can be signalled but in practice things don't work out that way. The reason being involvement of human beings who are work in process. Sri Aurobindo's yoga and spirituality is a catalyst.
Elections are entertainment too. Saw thousands of people on both sides of the road as a roadshow was underway. Massive mobilisation of people. Money and power hold the sway and not any independent judgement of an individual. So, to call it as the wisdom of the crowd is debatable.
Ramdev and Kejriwal's agitations prepared the ground for Modi's ascent. Riots and Mayawati's division of votes in UP enabled him to become the Prime Minister. So the mandate was not earned by him. But greatness of Hindutva throwing such a person for the top post is disappointing.

Savitri Era Religion is the most suitable religion for the future. The philosophy of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo provides the best intellectual and emotional satisfaction. Worshipping them as the one Supreme Divine is the best protection from the tyranny of mythology and rituals.
Hindutva supporters don't recognise the preeminence of Sri Aurobindo and always try to show him as one among many others. They also don't give any importance to The Mother. Savitri Era Religion and Savitri Era Party endeavour to rectify such a narrative by establishing uniqueness.
As it's becoming more and more clear that Congress will be a part of the next govt at the Centre, Savitri Era Party is buffeted by mixed feelings. While riddance from Hindutva and Modi is a great relief, there's nothing to expect from Dynasty vis-à-vis The Mother & Sri Aurobindo.
Hindutva has many voices and different ideological nuaces are being added continuously. But unfortunately there's no systematic presentation of the ideas or any authorised version of its vision. Absence of competent scholars and lack of foundational books makes it a free for all.
Sri Aurobindo's writings are full of intellectual stimuli in different disciplines of Humanities. So, academic scrutiny of his ideas will continue. But the role of devotees is different. Knowing various implications of his philosophy is important, but it's subordinate to loyalty.
Followers of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo suffer from a lot of confusion and, hence, are unable to express their opinions freely on this platform. My posts don't have much reach as a result of which people are wallowing in their own ignorance. Some pose as scholars without reading.
There was no Internet and there was no money to buy books. Going to listen to a lecture were few and far between. A few periodicals were there which satisfied the intellectual hunger. Now all books are available online but people are reluctant to read. Genuine appreciation absent.
So many people put all their eggs in Modi's basket. They thought he would be there for ever but when the chickens come home to roost, it will leave a bad taste in their mouths. Irrespective of the outcome of the elections BJP has undergone transformation during the last one month.

ମରଠା ଶାସନର ନିର୍ଯ୍ୟାତନା ଏବେବି ଓଡ଼ିଆ ମାନଙ୍କର ଜନମାନସରୁ ବିସ୍ମୃତ ହୋଇନାହିଁ। ପୁଣି ଥରେ ଓଡ଼ିଶାକୁ ଗୁଜୁରାଟୀ ମାନଙ୍କ ହାତରେ ଟେକିଦେବା କେତେଦୂର ଯୁକ୍ତିଯୁକ୍ତ? ନିଜର ସ୍ବାଧୀନତା ଓ ସ୍ବାଭିମାନକୁ ଜାଣିଶୁଣି ଜଳାଞ୍ଜଳି ଦେବା କୋଉ ବୁଦ୍ଧିମାନର କାର୍ଯ୍ୟ? ପ୍ରତ୍ୟେକ ଶିକ୍ଷିତ ବ୍ୟକ୍ତିଙ୍କର ଆତ୍ମମନ୍ଥନ କରିବାର ଆବଶ୍ୟକତା ରହିଛି।
ଓଡ଼ିଆ ହିସାବରେ ମୁଖ୍ୟ କର୍ତ୍ତବ୍ୟ ହେଉଛି ଅଣଓଡ଼ିଆ ନେତାମାନଙ୍କୁ ସମ୍ମାନ ବା ସମର୍ଥନ ନଦେଇ ସ୍ବାଧୀନ ଓଡ଼ିଆ ପ୍ରାର୍ଥୀ ମାନଙ୍କୁ ଜିତାଇବା। ଗଣତନ୍ତ୍ର କେବଳ ରାଜନୈତିକ ଦଳମାନଙ୍କର କ୍ରୀଡ଼ାଭୂମି ନୁହେଁ। ସାଧାରଣ ଲୋକଙ୍କର ମଧ୍ୟ ସମାନ ଅଧିକାର ରହିଛି। ତେଲିଆ ମୁଣ୍ଡରେ ତେଲ ନଢ଼ାଳି, ପ୍ରକୃତ ସମାଜସେବୀ ମାନଙ୍କୁ ଭୋଟ ଦେଲେ, ଧାରା ବଦଳିବ।
