The past can't be a guide to the future. Evolution is on and The Mother & Sri Aurobindo predict revolutionary changes through descent of the Supramental consciousness. Following them with love, loyalty, and surrender is the right manner of collaboration with Earth consciousness.

The Mother & Sri Aurobindo represent the whole humanity. Worshipping them as the one Supreme Divine is a necessary condition for effective progress in Integral yoga. Their Integral philosophy surpasses all previous formulations by accommodating the scientific theory of evolution.

According to Sri Aurobindo, Go denotes light or knowledge. Many words like gaveshana, gomati, golaka, gosthi, gopi, gotra, godana, etc. can be interpreted accordingly.

Indira Gandhi represents Dynasty which distorted Indian democracy. She was responsible for destroying many institutions enshrined in the Constitution. JP movement was a great national resurgence with evolutionary significance. VP Singh too reflected the same spirit. AAP let down.

India got Independence on Sri Aurobindo's birthday and the history till now covers many significant churnings. The Mother & Sri Aurobindo assure that the world is moving towards Harmony. Savitri Era Religion (2006) and Savitri Era Party are alternative avenues for following them.

Future Shock and subsequent books had tremendous impact half a century back. Since then exponential changes have taken place in various spheres. The predictions of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo, however, haven't lost value. It has rather become all the more important to follow them.

Savitri Era Party is not a part of any bloc or parivar. Inspired by the philosophy of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo, it's the only party which opposes both BJP and the Congress. It demands granting of Sovereignty to the States in a phased manner so that #WorldUnion emerges in India.

Chronologically, Sri Aurobindo met The Mother for the first time or knew about her only after coming to Puducherry. That means when his role in the Freedom struggle was pretty much over. But interestingly, his political period was centred around the idea of country as the mother.

The Lives of Sri Aurobindo (2008) and The Mother : A Life of Sri Aurobindo's Spiritual Collaborator (2025) by Peter Heehs provide many biographical details which aren't available elsewhere. But an authentic book is yet to be written on their religious significance and its legacy.

One may or may not believe in the Divine Manifestation of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo, but thousands of people worshipping them as the one Supreme Divine is a fact. Savitri Era Party demands that Savitri Era Religion is accorded legal recognition as a new religion founded in 2006.

Savitri Era Religion can be considered as more of an activity in physics or biology than mere pure religion since it is concerned with evolution. Worshipping The Mother & Sri Aurobindo as the one Supreme Divine is absolutely necessary for descent of the Supramental consciousness.

You are very much aware that animals and gods are typal beings but man is different. Characterising something as inferior morality is certainly relative and subjective, but the whole gamut of emotions are available to humans for attempting transformation of the lowest to highest.

Hindutva intellectuals are busy weaving imaginary neat narratives of the past garnished with generous critique of modernity. Though quite tempting to buy, Savitri Era Party rejects them on the basis of the future vision of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo. Yoga aspect is missing, too.

My father's name is Chintamani and it reminds me the popular tale of Bilwamangala, also known as Lila Suka and Surdas. Observing so many learned persons engaged in promoting their pet subjects, I so fervently feel, if only they spent a fraction of their energy over Sri Aurobindo!

The greatest blessing of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo on me is not only could I know them at a very young age but also I was determined enough to forsake many pleasures and attractions for studying their books and magazines with zeal. Resigning from Bank job too provided ample time. 

Evolution has its own reasons and hence expecting that the predictions of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo should materialise within a short time may not be proper. The task is collaboration and worshipping them as the one Supreme Divine through Savitri Era Religion is the best option.

Eagles, Dolphins, or Daffodils can represent evolution especially in poetry but Sri Aurobindo has shown how mere lyricism is not enough. An intensity of feeling or emotion reflecting honesty or purity has more value even if the outcome is less palatable or ethically questionable.

Love for tradition and rituals is growing due to psychological insecurity and need for identity. Hubris and hatred are supplying the fuel for religious fanaticism. Savitri Era Religion, in this context, is the only option for a modern and liberal atmosphere. Follow Sri Aurobindo.

Complete reliance on The Mother & Sri Aurobindo so as to imagine that all our actions are being designed by them is a fundamental necessity. Savitri Era Religion, therefore, stipulates worshipping them as the one Supreme Divine so that love, devotion, or surrender is spontaneous.

In this context it's necessary to remember that Sri Aurobindo's views and priorities became different in many respects after he migrated to Puducherry in 1910. The arrival of The Mother in 1914 transformed most of his earlier opinions. Hence it's better to play down old writings.

Replies don't reach followers unless it's reposted. Further, as my account is heavily reported, number of impressions hardly cross 30-40.

The so called Indic knowledge can confuse any young person. It's therefore advisable to keep away from Sanskrit and various streams of Indian philosophy plus mythology. Worshipping The Mother & Sri Aurobindo as the one Supreme Divine, and reading their books is the safest course.

If we forget about geopolitical ramifications European invasion of India provided the best opportunity to tackle metaphysics. To traditional Indian philosophy and wealth of Western philosophy, The Mother & Sri Aurobindo added invaluable insights distilled from Vedic hermeneutics.

Attempting to read Veda or Upanishads without consulting Sri Aurobindo is highly misleading. Even study of Astrology or Mythology can benefit much from his The Secret of the Veda. Similarly, Sri Aurobindo borrowing from Hegel or Spencer galvanises thought.

Sri Aurobindo never met Vivekananda. His encounter in jail is his own imagination which has nothing to do with Vivekananda himself. Thus making this incident as part of Vivekananda's life and history is anomalous. Further to claim that Vivekananda taught SA the Veda is erroneous.

I have been consistently pleading to keep Vivekananda and Sri Aurobindo separate. Each should be studied independently as their historical contexts as well as philosophical thrusts are totally different. Further The Mother & Sri Aurobindo are worshipped as the one Supreme Divine.

Languages are being discussed and debated everywhere. After castes, and religion, this supposes to have caught the fancy of the people. This is in the right evolutionary direction from my perspective. Savitri Era Party has been demanding Sovereignty to States on linguistic basis.

Science and non-science aren't watertight compartments because the existence is one. Nevertheless, Sri Aurobindo explains through the notion of Exclusive Concentration that there is ample scope for any particular phenomenon to flourish. Thus within specific limits science reigns.

Marxist scholars distorted history and Hindutva adherents copied them. Philosophy too was too secular and Hindutva replaced it with mythology. In such a dismal situation, worshipping The Mother & Sri Aurobindo as the one Supreme Divine and reading their books is the only way out.

Savitri Era Party is against Hindutva but adopts a posture of supporting the Govt for its good actions. The Prime Minister bears the onerous responsibility of winning elections and hence he can be pardoned for resorting to theatre. This is a compulsion imposed by democracy, alas!

Psychological researches have advanced much in the field of Consciousness studies. So, those expounding on The Mother & Sri Aurobindo's writings on yoga should take care not to present them as self-evident truth. Rather they form broad hints towards a distant futuristic scenario.

Savitri Era Party is opposed to both BJP and the Congress. India is yet to have proper democracy and right people as rulers. What we witness now is caricature. Believing in the evolutionary philosophy of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo and their grace is the only option for revolution. 

Sri Aurobindo and The Mother were present at the time of Independence but somehow true democracy fails to flourish in India. Ethical atmosphere is unable to take root. It's safe to assume that it's part of the evolutionary intention and we may have to wait for a few decades more.

I don't think it's proper on the part of Alok Pandey to issue certificates as to who follows The Mother & Sri Aurobindo and in what way. Integral yoga is a direct relationship between them and the devotee. So there's absolutely no scope for any third party scrutiny or evaluation.

Sri Aurobindo and The Mother wrote when modernity was in vouge and literal reading of texts was the norm. Since then intermittent waves of postmodernism have transformed the intellectual environment. By portraying them as the one Supreme Divine, Savitri Era Religion alters focus.

Savitri Era Religion is the best option for the modern generation since worshipping The Mother & Sri Aurobindo as the one Supreme Divine amounts to collaboration with evolution for descent of the Supramental consciousness. No mythological fiction nor reliance on rituals required.

The most essential principle of Integral yoga is surrender to The Mother & Sri Aurobindo and seeking their grace. Savitri Era Religion facilitates worshipping them as the one Supreme Divine who are always present in their three poises. Path to be freed from mythology and rituals.

I read and write in English but there's no need for it in my conversations in the day-to-day life. Watching content in English or listening to music in English is also not part of my consumption. Odia, Hindi, and Bengali music form an important component of my aesthetic enjoyment.

Evolution ensues from the realm of Consciousness but its results are ultimately noticed in the material domain. Current affairs, therefore, can be construed as indicators in a hide and seek fashion. Many are under the illusion that an imagined past narrative is the ideal paradigm. 

Savitri Era Party is against AAP, BJP, and Congress. It believes that the evolutionary philosophy of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo will materialise as per the #FiveDreams Manifesto of 1947. States should be granted Sovereignty so that the nucleus of a future #WorldUnion coagulates.

Various forces are fighting against BJP, but they lack the secret of defeating it. Secular or rational alternatives look alluring but they are spent forces. Politics around religion or castes too has lost its steam. Savitri Era Religion is the most potent weapon against Hindutva.

One benefit of being born in Odisha is that I'm not unduly influenced by Tulsidas, Tagore, or Shankaracharyas. Being a devotee of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo, I'm saved from following local cults like Jagannath or Bhima Bhoi. I have been campaigning against mythology and rituals.

Evolution is part of Biology, but Sri Aurobindo imparts to it a profound Ontological significance by linking it to the Vedic Psychology. However, the whole dynamics is a bit more complex. Worshipping The Mother & Sri Aurobindo as the one Supreme Divine is integral to the process.

I don't track international news much and hence it's difficult for me to gauge who is on which side and why. But one thing is clear that various religions are at the root of ongoing conflicts. As Founder of Savitri Era Religion (2006), this gives me immense hope and satisfaction.

Modi Govt. has done many good things especially in development arena. But that cannot be the reason to forget about what Hindutva has wrought to social harmony and democratic ethos. Emergency, similarly, had many positive results. But from the democratic angle, it was a disaster.

Understanding The Mother & Sri Aurobindo's philosophy by integrating different streams of thought from their various books is a difficult intellectual enterprise. But, ideological commitment to Hindutva can result in warped interpretation. Secular approach, similarly, is flawed.

Social, political, and economic issues continue to baffle humanity. The Mother & Sri Aurobindo have written much about them. The solutions they have pointed to, no doubt, are esoteric in essence. Savitri Era Religion, therefore, prefers to worship them as the one Supreme Divine.

Understanding the essence of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo's relevance should be a minimum target for educated Indians, so that they don't suffer from inferiority complex vis-à-vis the West. For, their philosophy and yoga has real worth, in contradistinction to material superiority.

The Mother & Sri Aurobindo are the one Supreme Divine and hence it's erroneous and misleading to describe them as Guru, Avatar, or incarnation. They are always present in their three poises and lead the evolutionary march without any connection with old religions or philosophies.

1) By and large, the Nehruvian template remains intact.

2) State parties have broken the Single-party dominance.

3) Religion or Caste based ideologies are struggling.

4) Dynastic parties are bound to suffer setbacks.

5) Nationalism, per se, can't be an effective glue in politics.

A follower of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo can never support Hindutva if he has read their books. However extraneous factors may compel someone to do otherwise. Savitri Era narrative is guiding in this respect since 2005. Savitri Era Party believes that BJP is a bundle of falsehood. 

I write on public issues, but my prayers for personal welfare and sundry longings before The Mother & Sri Aurobindo are also implicit in them. Working for bigger causes takes care of smaller problems. The highest and the most audacious Vedic aspiration for man is for Immortality.

There can be a thousand justifications for reservations but Savitri Era Party demands abolition of all kinds of reservations by the Govt. All references to castes and religions should be deleted from the Constitution so that citizens are treated at par without any discrimination.

A third problem of intellectual life is it is so protectionist and parochial. It doesn't consider anything out of the syllabus topic like Sri Aurobindo as remotely consequential.

Naveen Patnaik was voted out last year. The same thing may happen to Mamata Banerjee. Nitish Kumar is showing mental imbalance and may go too. Modi has been in power for a long time and should be shown the door. Savitri Era Party demands adequate safeguards in the Constitution.

Democracy poses this unenviable task before a citizen to get elected by others in order to enjoy power. But why should others vote for him? What would be the reasons for others for being attracted towards him? There's no standard answer. Therefore, all this drama around Sindoor.

Both CPI and RSS are celebrating their Centenary this year, but it's an important coincidence that the same for Sri Aurobindo Ashram also happens to be the next year. These are three clear ideological streams which have relevance for the future of the country as well as humanity.

Born a decade after Independence, I was brought up in an environment of valuing Modernity and rationality. Following The Mother & Sri Aurobindo also reinforced my temperament. But three decades later, Ram Temple movement introduced irrationality which even the Courts accepted.

As more and more devotees and followers of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo succumb to the influence of Hindutva, it becomes increasingly important to be resolute in opposing it. I have been disseminating this message since 2005 and the effect is visible. The narrative war continues.

When Girilal Jain's The Hindu Phenomenon was published posthumously in 1994, it sent shock waves since his record as editor of The Times of India was exemplary. He wrote a Manifesto for Hindutva but today he would have been grossly disappointed at the quagmire the movement is in.

Never before in the history of India so much of action and drama was packed within such a short span of time. It's exactly like a film set. Terrorists kill. Social media furore. Invisible military operation. Trump. Ceasefire. Road show. All with a title borrowed from Ekta Kapoor!

All are free to pursue paths for their own satisfaction but Savitri Era Religion is the only rational course for collaboration with evolution. Seeking the grace of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo for descent of the Supramental consciousness is a task for all. No mythology nor rituals.

It's interesting that Sri Aurobindo identified The Mother as the Divine Mother and she, in turn, recognised him as the Supreme Lord. No one else had any idea of Divine status about them. Later on, disciples gathered around them and thus believing in their words is the only means.

They told their disciples to practice yoga which is known as Integral Yoga. At the most basic level, it has three principles. Aspiration for higher consciousness, Rejection of undesirable elements, and Surrender to The Mother. All these are psychological affairs, and method-free.

With more and more disciples joining, an Ashram had to be created. But the primary principle was work. Different departments were built so that work itself can be offered to the Divine to facilitate spirituality. However, it had no provision for family life or political activity.

Writings of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo are vast and it's not easy to read them and compare. Savitri Era Religion is the simple option of following them without much intellectual burden. Worshipping them as the one Supreme Divine entitles one to their infinite love and compassion.

Sri Aurobindo has diverse facets and people come to him through different routes. But mere intellectual appreciation is a limitation. Even practice of Integral Yoga can be a hindrance. Savitri Era Religion presents the opportunity for surrender and transformation of human nature.

Marxists not only banished Sri Aurobindo from the history books but also ensured that neither his philosophy nor poetry is taught in the Universities. This continues till date. But their fear is elsewhere and it is real. Savitri Era Religion is going to encompass the whole world.

Savitri Era Religion faces resistance from Hindutva adherents on the one side and Leftists and rationalists on the other. Their pet argument is that The Mother & Sri Aurobindo are against starting a new religion. But unfortunately the Constitution has given the right to devotees.

Aspiring for a life of spirituality doesn't mean commanding mastery over human instincts and passions. Many tend to pose in such a manner but it's better to be pragmatic in this respect. Just by reading a couple of books by The Mother & Sri Aurobindo no one turns a saintly person. 

Savitri Era Religion doesn't impose exalted designations like a Sadhak or a Yogi. It's meant for ordinary human beings who are willing to be the devotees of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo. Surrender to them and seeking their grace for transformation of human nature is what's required. 

With access to Internet in 2005, I discovered the controversy surrounding Ken Wilber. High level of intellectual debates were going on which proved futility of knowledge. Then came the conflict over a book by Peter Heehs in 2008. By that time, I had launched Savitri Era Religion.

Integral Yoga came into operation when The Mother & Sri Aurobindo were there. Thus no one can assure about its efficacy after their departure. Savitri Era Religion is the simple path of worshipping them as the one Supreme Divine and seeking their grace sans mythology and rituals.

The wealth of wisdom that the West has amassed under Humanities is stupendous. But it would have been partial and one-sided had Sri Aurobindo not written his epochal books. Although his writings are not known very widely, still a genuine seeker of knowledge can locate his words.

Heavy tomes or high-flown English shouldn't be a barrier between Sri Aurobindo and the people. No need to be scared away by intricacies of Integral yoga too. Savitri Era Religion is the simple path of seeking the grace of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo who are the one Supreme Divine.

Many followers of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo are staunch supporters of BJP and Modi, at present. That creates a wrong impression in the minds of the general public. The Mother & Sri Aurobindo aren't part of Hindu religion. Savitri Era Party has been opposing Hindutva since 2007.

Independence gave us democracy and modernity. Socialism was also the favoured ideology at that time. Millions of people benefitted from that environment. Current political situation tends to reverse many of the gains of that period. But that will be resisted. Fraternity will rule.

Savitri Era Party stands for equality and universality. All citizens should be treated as the same without any discrimination or favour. The need for social justice is over. The Constitution of India should be rewritten accordingly. The party draws inspiration from Sri Aurobindo.

Reading Mother's Agenda is revealing in many ways. One can know how The Mother used to tolerate many of her disciples, out of politeness. Her response to various facets of Hindu religion or Indian culture can be interpreted in similar context. Savitri Era Religion overlooks them.

At eight I knew The Mother & Sri Aurobindo as Divine and my worldview has been shaped accordingly. Therefore I don't belive in the common sense approach of historians who prefer to present a linear narrative of their lives. This prompted me to launch Savitri Era Religion in 2006.

Understanding the philosophy of Sri Aurobindo through the lens of Savitri Era Religion is important since most of his commentators have Hindutva leanings. Accepting The Mother & Sri Aurobindo as the one Supreme Divine is the litmus test for their devotees. Hypocrisy has no place.

Neither BJP nor Congress have served democracy well. Those belonging to the Left or Ambedkar's bandwagon are misguided. Savitri Era Party, drawing inspiration from The Mother & Sri Aurobindo, aspires for striving towards genuine fraternity and human unity. No reservation required. 

Worshipping The Mother & Sri Aurobindo as the one Supreme Divine is the first step for internalising Savitri Era narrative. Otherwise, endless discussions on various books written by them and their direct disciples continue to spread confusion. Auroville controversy festers, too.

Savitri Era narrative is twenty years old. There was a conspicuous resistance against publicity and discussing politics was a strict no. With Google providing free publishing facility, I did some overdose of publicity by launching over a dozen blogs. SELF has 20k hits this month.

I came in contact with The Mother & Sri Aurobindo at eight in 1964 and The Mother passed away in 1973. I haven't seen her. However I had imbibed enough inspiration during those ten years which sustains me even today. I have been spreading their message via social media since 2005.

Each to their own and devotees of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo are free to practice Integral yoga as they deem fit. If they are able to integrate it with other religions, it's for them to explain. But my idea of it reflects my lived example which I theorise as Savitri Era Religion.

If the Chief Justice can utter a religious slogan, the devotees of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo should take a lesson as to how to further our narrative. Savitri Era Party has been trying to popularise the political ideals of #SriAurobindo encapsulated in his #FiveDreams broadcast.

Ramakrishna Hegde was the most suitable candidate but H.D. Deve Gowda denied him the opportunity by himself becoming the Prime Minister. Not only that, he forced Lalu Prasad Yadav to expel him from Janata Dal. Modi, similarly, had forced Gadkari to remove Sanjay Joshi from posts.

Sri Aurobindo was born in India and went to England for education. The Mother was born in France and came to India to meet Sri Aurobindo. It's difficult to explain the mystery of these events and at Savitri Era Religion, we worship them as the one Supreme Divine. All are welcome.

There are many handles who use the pictures of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo or their symbols as their DP. This looks very odd considering the sacredness of their pictures and symbols. Similarly, pasting quotations from their writings without informing the context can be misleading.

It is important to analyse the current political atmosphere in the light of The Human Cycle by Sri Aurobindo. Savitri Era Party is against Hindutva and believes that its influence will wane. Fraternity will be the fundamental principle for future politics. Harmony and not hatred.

Arun Shourie has written more than thirty books but I haven't read any. I used to be a fan of his columns in the Indian Express. My interest in him dwindled due to his association with BJP. He is seen as a founding father of Nationalist sentiment. He brought many things to light.

Sri Aurobindo's books provide an alternative paradigm to Western thought. It is also an advancement over Indian and Buddhist philosophies. His poetry reaches new heights in aesthetics. His hermeneutical reading of the Veda breaks new ground in apperception of inner consciousness.

The Mother & Sri Aurobindo are talking about the future evolution; a new race. Descent of the Supramental consciousness is possible only through the joint action of our aspiration and their grace. Thus, worshipping them as the one Supreme Divine is an indispensable precondition.

Sri Aurobindo wrote at a time when Western thought was in turmoil. Reading his books is necessary for comparing different points of view in order to draw the right conclusions. Otherwise it is one-sided knowledge. No other thinker in the world provides such wide-ranging insights.

Devotees have every right to ask the Divine for fulfilment of their personal wishes (for what else is the use of the Divine for?) but demanding in public that The Mother & Sri Aurobindo fulfill their promises in a surcharged atmosphere of war, hatred, and frenzy is inappropriate.

An important element of Savitri Era Religion is that we believe The Mother & Sri Aurobindo defeated Hitler. No historian would support this but it is part of our mythology. For this purpose, Churchill became their instrument. Churchill may have other vices but he is great for us.

Subhas Chandra Bose was born in Cuttack, Odisha, who rose to be a legendary figure. Fondly remembered as Netaji, he has a special place in the hearts of almost all Bengalis. However, we at Savitri Era Religion don't rever him as a great person due to his association with Hitler.

There is a misconception about the Map of India in Sri Aurobindo Ashram, Puducherry.

Myth: The Map was drawn by The Mother.

Fact: It was originally drawn by a few disciples who planned to present it to The Mother as a surprise. She, however, revised it and drew it herself, later.

Ambedkar compares Buddha with Marx for analysing the possibility of an ideal society. Sri Aurobindo, interestingly, takes the evolutionary approach and talks about successive stages reflecting higher consciousness. Thus ethics needn't be imposed but would bloom as part of nature.

#SriAurobindo (1872 - 1950) can be remembered in diverse contexts but worshipping The Mother & Sri Aurobindo as the one Supreme Divine is the central principle of Savitri Era Religion. It considers their writings bound by the limitations of time and, therefore, avoids literalism.

Peter Heehs has been writing since 1988 and has over a dozen books to his credit. His latest is The Mother: A Life of Sri Aurobindo's Spiritual Collaborator. Mirra Alfassa (1878 - 1973) came to meet Sri Aurobindo in Puducherry in 1914 and never looked back.

Can't say about original doctrine, but the current votaries of Hindutva seem to rely on it for all kinds of solutions. There's no need to slug but only highlight how others are not allowing it to flower. Blaming others takes away responsibility with splendid opportunity for glee.

People in India are not aware of the history of Constitution and most believe Ambedkar wrote it. So to make a neat narrative weaving all available ancient texts to claim infallibility is something absurd. Hindu religion around mythology is fine but why add metaphysics and ethics?

Intellectual atmosphere is too confused in India today due to political fights. Modern day gurus also keep their devotees ignorant. Reading the books of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo through self-effort is the only way to derive right insights. Avoiding mythology and rituals needed.

The Life Divine by Sri Aurobindo provides a sound metaphysical framework for the modern mind. It also responds to Darwin, Nietzsche, Bergson, and Freud. Besides, it explains the questions raised by Royce and James. The Human Cycle by him is an alternative vision to that of Marx.

In The Synthesis of Yoga, Sri Aurobindo has described numerous spiritual principles in an excellent manner. These largely fall in the category of personal effort. But when it comes to practice, no one feels capable. The Life Divine, conversely, assures evolutionary inevitability.

Savitri Era Religion facilitates worshipping The Mother & Sri Aurobindo as the one Supreme Divine without the tyranny of any mythology or rituals. It also forestalls comparing them with others unnecessarily. Defeating Hitler is the most crucial achievement of their outward lives.

When I first heard the phrase Operation Sindoor, I felt sure that it's the work of RSS and not the Army. Because why any military person would think in this emotional manner? For them it's just a code. Now that the phrase is being bandied about in the streets, my guess was exact!

The Ashram was established by The Mother & Sri Aurobindo with the objective that its members may dedicate themselves in the spiritual direction without much concern for material needs. But without transformation of human nature, this aim remains unfulfilled after their departure.

I have subscribed to more than one hundred YouTube channels dealing with yoga and philosophy of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo. Unfortunately, many are not mentioning Sri Aurobindo in the title of the videos due to which they don't appear in the search results.

Religious spirit in worshipping The Mother & Sri Aurobindo as the one Supreme Divine is admirable but the same zeal to prove their writings & conversations as self-evident truth, or infallible, or true for ever is a negative tendency. Texts must be subjected to critical scrutiny.

Democracy and Nation building on one front and Evolution of collective consciousness on the other has been the ideal during the last sixty years, but nothing appreciable has happened. Worshipping The Mother & Sri Aurobindo as the one Supreme Divine therefore is the only recourse.

A Nation isn't something abstract or purely material. It's about people and their struggles. Disputing the structure of society is the domain of politics. Conflict between divergent views should lead to the Integral solution as Sri Aurobindo proposes in his #FiveDreams Manifesto.

Savitri Era Religion worships The Mother & Sri Aurobindo as the one Supreme Divine without any connection with the old religions or philosophies. They have been present at every turn of the Evolutionary history, and lead its march towards descent of the Supramental consciousness.

I also used to believe that so many political leaders died because of Indira Gandhi. But since you are a supporter of her, you won't agree.

Intellectual lethargy is not allowing people to accept the philosophy of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo. Present political situation has also made the hold of Hindutva more powerful. But this period will not last long. The evolutionary arrow will pulverise all obstacles on its way.

Remembering The Mother & Sri Aurobindo and seeking their grace is an act of collaboration with evolution. Reading Savitri or other books by them also amounts to the same. Keeping away from mythology and rituals is an important task. "Om Anandamayi Chaitanyamayi Satyamayi Parame."

The Mother & Sri Aurobindo's writings and conversations cover a wide range of subjects. Besides, the books by their direct disciples provide diverse insights. Yet, it is difficult to derive proper guidance on political situation obtaining in India, except from Savitri Era Party.

Devotion towards The Mother & Sri Aurobindo can save humanity from wars and conflicts. They represent a higher consciousness and invite all to rise above the present mentality. Savitri Era Religion encourages to worship them as the one Supreme Divine without any dogma or rituals.

Each person's background is different and I have been fortunate to worship The Mother & Sri Aurobindo from a very young age. Intellectual appreciation grew much later. Thus starting Savitri Era Religion in 2006 was a natural consequence which most other devotees find incongruous.

Savitri Era Party has been demanding abolition of reservations so that all citizens are treated equally. But the Govt unfortunately has decided to conduct Castes census. Savitri Era Religion doesn't recognise any Caste and all are welcome to forsake their Caste identity under it.

The Mother & Sri Aurobindo have explained the mystery of evolution and how human collaboration is crucial for accelerating the descent of Supramental consciousness upon earth. Worshipping them as the one Supreme Divine is absolutely necessary as they alone have the powers for it.

Avoiding unrealistic expectations of spiritual realisations or mystical experiences is important although writings of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo are full of guidances on them. Similarly insisting fulfilment of various predictions made by them at different times should be avoided.

The Secret of the Veda is the most original contribution of Sri Aurobindo to modern thought. Anyone reading it will discover how the story of seamless consciousness was told in ancient times and why wise men have been refusing to accept this simple wisdom.

Arrival of The Mother in Puducherry, in 1914 marks a, distinctly, new phase in the life of Sri Aurobindo. Before that he has been influenced by many streams of thought as per historical records. Savitri Era Religion, however, prefers to treat them as Lila.

The Human Cycle by Sri Aurobindo deals with very complex themes. It should be read as an expansion of the last two chapters of The Life Divine. The allied volume, The Ideal of Human Unity, provides further explanation and justification for The Human Cycle.

The Mother & Sri Aurobindo have said innumerable things but some have the habit of picking up a few utterances to suit their own line of thought. As if those are the most important element of their teachings. This sort of selective approach is misleading. Beware of such emphasis!

Savitri Era Religion doesn't stress on scholarship or practice of yoga. Worshipping The Mother & Sri Aurobindo as the one Supreme Divine is the most basic requirement. Love and surrender to them is essential for aspiration for descent of the Supramental consciousness upon earth.

Apart from Bases of Yoga by Sri Aurobindo, A Practical Guide to Integral Yoga compiled by Manibhai provided guidance on diverse subjects. The Integral Yoga of Sri Aurobindo by Rishabhchand was a very authoritative commentary. His other book In the Mother's Light is very inspiring. 

Savitri Era Party has been disseminating an alternative narrative based on the philosophy of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo since 2007. Apart from radical insights into history, symbolic readings of the Veda, Upanishads, and the Gita can alter the worldview of any diligent observer.

West Bengal is determined not to recognise Sri Aurobindo as a Bengali or a Great man. Understandably, it struggles with a problem of plenty, but not to give even a foothold to the Greatest is something absurd. Sri Aurobindo didn't write much in Bengali but translations are there.

There are a thousand pegs to hang a tale and an equal number of routes to approach Sri Aurobindo. Amal Kiran discovered him from an old newspaper wrapping a pair of shoes. Once found wrestling with his vast literature takes long years. But the ultimate aim is to reach The Mother.

During the Birth Centenary of Sri Aurobindo in 1972, The Mother had expressed the desire that his message must reach every home. Thus, Centres all over the country were galvanised for this onerous task. Even Govt had played a catalytic role in terms of organisation and resources.

His Bengali name was Arabinda Ackroyd Ghose but in the later phase of his life he changed it to Sri Aurobindo. There is no Ghose and Sri is part of the composite name. He put his signature in the style "Sri Aurobindo". Thus writing Aurobindo, Maharshi or Rishi Aurobindo is wrong.

Sri Aurobindo had criticised the Congress for turning into a club of a select few. Devotees of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo, today seem to form a similar minority. High intellectual content of their teachings also stokes elitism. Savitri Era Religion, however, is devotion oriented.

Criticism of human nature and society is common in The Mother & Sri Aurobindo's writings. But they do it out of deep compassion and love for the humanity to show the path of redemption. Thus using their criticism to castigate fellow human beings is wrong on the part of all of us.

Patriotic feeling for unity and integrity of the country are noble sentiments but to allow just one person to rule over 1.5 billion people is absurd. Democracy entails bottom-up collective leadership but no such arrangement is visible at present. No transparency or accountability. 

Overnight experts on The Mother & Sri Aurobindo are mushrooming who proclaim misleading statements on them. Savitri Era Religion is about worshipping The Mother & Sri Aurobindo as the one Supreme Divine, and surrender to them for accelerating descent of Supramental consciousness.

Geopolitics is not politics alone. It also reflects the intention of evolution. One may or may not believe in any Divine power, but evolution is a fact which, as Sri Aurobindo explains, is moving towards Harmony. Current events can't definitely be identified as helpful, though.

The teachings of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo far surpasses all New Age, or postmodernist, insights. Worshipping them as the one Supreme Divine amounts to collaboration with evolution for descent of the Supramental consciousness. All are welcome to join Savitri Era Religion (2006).

Dayananda was instrumental for renewed interest in the Veda but it was left to Sri Aurobindo to reveal its true significance. Though regarded as the original source of wisdom the Veda is still relegated to perfunctory religious ritual. Reading The Secret of the Veda can illumine.

Worshipping The Mother & Sri Aurobindo as the one Supreme Divine, who are always present in their three poises, is the fundamental principle of Savitri Era Religion. Aspiring for descent of Supramental consciousness is more important than asking them for performing petty miracles. 

As devotees of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo, it is necessary to remember that, before their writings, psychologists like Sigmund Freud and Frederic W. H. Myers had made great contributions. While spiritual approach has its own merit, scientific or medical route should be respected.

Savitri Era Party wants war to end, and hopes issues are settled through dialogue. Sovereignty of each country should be respected, and crimes should be treated as crimes. Instituting hate campaigns against whole peoples should be avoided. The Mother & Sri Aurobindo want harmony.

Many devotees have dragged The Mother & Sri Aurobindo to the current conflict between India and Pakistan. This is unfortunate and smacks of immaturity. Savitri Era Party denounces such misleading efforts and requests the general public not to be misguided by such interpretations.

Savitri Era Party extends its support to the Prime Minister Modi for avoiding war and working for peace in trying circumstances. May the grace of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo be with him in facing this situation, confidently. All contentious issues can be resolved through dialogue.

Political philosophy of Sri Aurobindo is very clear which dovetails to his overall metaphysical framework. Hindutva enthusiasts, however, are pathetically trying to appropriate him by distorting his future vision. Public intellectuals in our country, unfortunately, are lukewarm.

Reluctance on the part of many devotees to accept The Mother & Sri Aurobindo as the one Supreme Divine clearly indicates confusion about their philosophy and action. Descent of Supramental consciousness is possible only through the joint action of our aspiration and their grace.

Neither Savitri Era Religion nor Savitri Era Party believes in any Hindu or India-centric narrative. Worshipping The Mother & Sri Aurobindo as the one Supreme Divine and surrendering to them with love, devotion, and loyalty is the foremost task. No mythology or rituals are needed.

The Mother & Sri Aurobindo wrote over a long period of time which have been duly edited or compiled by the disciples. Most of them deal with philosophy and spirituality but they are not self-evident truth. Their vision is futuristic subject to contingencies of evolutionary arrow.

It's unfortunate that most devotees of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo are unable to understand their ideals in an appropriate manner. I have been writing about Savitri Era Religion since 2006, but its reach is very limited. Let's hope, Savitri Era Party's relevance comes to the fore.

After reading a speech titled, Sri Aurobindo and Hinduism by Peter Heehs, it occurred to me that a new religion can be the real answer to the Babri tainted Hindutva. Today, after two decades, I can walk with a clear conscience. All are capitulating, but Savitri Era Party opposes.

Gandhi has lost much of his aura as it is becoming increasingly clear that he was a product of overdose of publicity. However, there are certain aspects of him which are praiseworthy. But more than his life or legacy, his death has assumed gigantic proportions. Who murdered him?

Savitri Era Religion doesn't follow any mythology or ritual of any past religion. We worship The Mother & Sri Aurobindo as the one Supreme Divine, and aspire for human unity without any discrimination. Reading Savitri amounts to collaboration with evolution towards Supramental.

Savitri Era Religion encourages to worship The Mother & Sri Aurobindo as the one Supreme Divine instead of trying to evaluate them in different ways, on a daily basis. Comparing them to their contemporaries is also a fruitless exercise. Believing in them is better than mythology.

Almost all religions are pre-modern entities which harbour numerous superstitions and unverified claims. Savitri Era Religion, based on the philosophy of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo, is the only modern and rational religion. It worships them as the one Supreme Divine sans rituals.

The Mother & Sri Aurobindo did make some predictions, but it's better not to insist on their happening. The only miracle by them that is verifiable is India achieving Independence on Sri Aurobindo's birth anniversary. Believing in them as the one Supreme Divine is more important.

Savitri signifies rebellion against death and conquering it. Looking at The Mother & Sri Aurobindo in the context of this Vedic imperative is far more crucial than quoting them on stray utilitarian matters. Descent of Supramental consciousness is something unique to their vision.

The Mother & Sri Aurobindo persuade to look at the big picture. Think of the current affairs in terms of the Human Cycle. What can be possible lines of evolutionary intention? Whether the trend is towards Harmony or discord? And, if the present situation is the spiral's downward?

Scholarship on Sri Aurobindo is dwindling. One of the reasons is his juxtaposition or comparison doesn't yield much. Secondly, his focus is always on the inner or spiritual realm. Thirdly, he is talking about the distant future or a scenario which is akin to some science fiction.

Savitri Era Religion takes the path of devotion and surrender to The Mother & Sri Aurobindo who are worshipped as the one Supreme Divine. As a result the biographical or historical details of them cease to be of much importance. It's also free from mythology, rituals or practice.

India got Independence on 15 August 1947. Thereafter the people of India have never got a chance to think about their collective existence. Till today we follow the Colonial legacy and Western theories. Why can't we think independently? What should be the status of a human being?

This is the daily scene at Chakdaha Railway station in West Bengal. Is it possible to adopt some mechanical means so that man gets some relief from such strenuous labour? What about AI? Can Robotics help? Or, no one needs to bother about such things? Can the ambience be improved?

Professional beggars are a common sight in the Local trains and platforms. Obviously they can be easily identified and saved from destitution. Passangers also can be saved from avoidable emotional backmailing and harassment. What are we doing as a society?

Years ago, I had watched Habib Tanvir's Agra Bazar in Delhi and the scenes seem to be repeated in local trains to Kolkata. A blind young person would beg interspersing his monologue with English. Then a LGBTQ group followed by NGO for a child with cancer. Then sings Kishore Kumar

It's not due to lack of funds that minor development works are suffering but because of apathy. People have become used to a low grade life, and forgotten demanding, or aspiring for, better facilities. Something like Hannah Arendt's the "banality of evil."

This lane leading to the Platform No. 1 of Shyamnagar Railway Station, West Bengal, has been in a bad shape for years, although thousands of people use it every day. No one cares for the convenience of the commuters. So, why blame @sanjeevsanyal for telling some truth about them?

I am also writing in Odia (ଓଡ଼ିଆ) at @NathTusar. It is said to be the most ancient language in the whole of north India. Roundedness makes its script the most beautiful one in the whole world. Further, it is most faithful to the pronunciation. 'Schwa' is also not deleted in Odia. 

Best introduction to the Odia language is to listen to the songs of Mohammed Rafi and Lata Mangeshkar. Both of them have sung two movie songs each in #Odia.

Worshipping The Mother & Sri Aurobindo as the one Supreme Divine is important because it is necessary from the point of view of the ongoing evolution. Descent of Supramental consciousness is inevitable, but conscious aspiration for it by human beings can accelerate the process.

Understanding The Life Divine as a deeply religious book has been avoided by the scholars. But the basic theory in it is how life is connected to the Divine. Proposing involution as the first half of the creation cycle Sri Aurobindo predicts man to evolve as the Supramental being. 

Devotees of Savitri Era Religion worship The Mother & Sri Aurobindo as the one Supreme Divine without any mythology or rituals. Devotion and surrender to them is essential for descent of the Supramental consciousness upon earth. Savitri signifies aspiration for Vedic Immortality.

Interesting discussion. In Sri Aurobindo's more mature writings like The Human Cycle, it's difficult to locate any particular nationalism or even the so called civilisationalism. His theory of evolution of consciousness reaches further heights in his magnum opus, The Life Divine.

In Sri Aurobindo's scheme of things, the socio-political is very much a part of an individual's evolution of consciousness. Some scholars have called it Integral Advaita.

The Lives of Sri Aurobindo (2008) and The Mother : A Life of Sri Aurobindo's Spiritual Collaborator (2025) by Peter Heehs provide authentic information about the birth and growth of the Ashram. Right now some controversy is going on regarding Auroville which is a different place.

Reading Sri Aurobindo means chipping away of one's own thinking on a continuous basis. Many, therefore, prefer to avoid him so that they are confident of their own individuality. Savitri Era Religion entails surrender to The Mother & Sri Aurobindo, without any emotional struggle.

I don't think Sri Aurobindo said any such thing. His major work is The Secret of the Veda in which he provided alternative meanings to various terms. Like Go is light instead of cow; Ashwa is power. So he unravelled psychological meanings which should be understood intellectually. 

I won't agree with your insistence on "only in samadhi" because evolution of consciousness is a continuous process and the trajectory is different for different persons. Thus it wouldn't be fair to exclude some from pursuing the study of the Veda or having experiences on the way.

You can read The Secret of the Veda by Sri Aurobindo online. The first chapter itself will clarify many things.

As Sri Aurobindo passed away in 1950, he has nothing to do with Auroville which was founded in 1968. The Mother too passed away in 1973. Thus, Auroville has grown without their direct guidance. Ownership issue is the chief bone of contention and Govt should return it to devotees.

Political ideologies are very strong in India regardless of who is in power or where. Savitri Era Party has been trying to present alternative viewpoints based on the teachings of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo. Needless to mention that it opposes all other parties and organisations.

Sri Aurobindo arrived in Puducherry on April 4, 1910 and left his body on December 5, 1950. Most people are not aware of his contribution, nor of The Mother’s, during those forty years. Savitri Era Religion, however, worships them as the one Supreme Divine who are always present.

Persons of other religions can't be appointed as members of religious boards. This is a valid point raised by the Supreme Court. Savitri Era Party demands that non-devotees should be removed from Auroville Foundation so that devotees of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo take decisions.

Every morning is a reminder that light and knowledge can transform our lives. The Veda and Savitri are two texts which explain the same though separated by millennia in origin. Transcending his present limits is the task for man. Surrendering to The Mother & Sri Aurobindo is key.

The Mother & Sri Aurobindo have provided extensive guidance on inner psychological growth. Savitri Era Religion, however, is more concerned about devotion and loyalty towards them. Inner progress is subjective, and can't be replicated or evaluated. Devotees are free to pursue it.

Sri Aurobindo's life history has been thoroughly documented. Yet, his own sadhana and inner journey hasn't received much attention. Two volumes of Record of Yoga are a testament to the meticulous way he was prosecuting his spiritual practices. Many of his poems also reveal that.

Sri Aurobindo (1872–1950) responded to many authors like William Archer (1856–1924), Sir John George Woodroffe (1865–1936) or Arthur Avalon, James Henry Cousins (1873–1956) or Mac Oisín or Jayaram, Karl Gotthard Lamprecht (1856–1915), and Ramchandra Dattatreya Ranade (1886–1957).

Sri Aurobindo wrote Yoga and Human Evolution in 1909 which contains the philosophy of The Life Divine in seed form. His stress on Vedic wisdom as against the materialist Western approach has been a boon for the humanity. But the West is yet to discover him.

Chanced upon a melodious Sinhala song La dalu bopath Yashodhara Devi. We have a similar story in Mrinalini Devi (1887-1918) but when we are worshipping The Mother & Sri Aurobindo as the one Supreme Divine she is just a footnote. Human emotions are irrelevant in this circumstance.

The Mother and her husband came to Puducherry to meet Sri Aurobindo on March 29, 1914. A lot many things happened thereafter and today we worship The Mother & Sri Aurobindo as the one Supreme Divine who are always present in their three poises. This is Savitri Era Religion (2006). 

Different streams of philosophy, religions, and social organisations have been spreading falsehoods for centuries. The Mother & Sri Aurobindo came to provide authentic knowledge in a modern and rational atmosphere. Join Savitri Era Religion for freedom from mythology and rituals.

Anyone with a rational mind can easily discover the supremacy of the philosophy of The Life Divine. Alternatively, if one is inclined towards poetry, it's not difficult to be ensnared by the charm of Savitri. These are stepping stones for worshipping The Mother & Sri Aurobindo.

Prejudice is the biggest disease and most people in our country are unable to know about The Mother & Sri Aurobindo because of it. Leftists, Hindutva activists, modern gurus, and public intellectuals spread prejudice against them in different ways. Education system ignores them.

Worshipping The Mother & Sri Aurobindo as the one Supreme Divine was never explained theoretically by them. Hence the philosophy they wrote stands modified to a significant extent. Devotees should refer to them wherever the Divine is mentioned. Describing them as Avatar is wrong.

Savitri Era Party doesn't approve of the present political climate in India. It foresees Sovereignty of the States for nurturing local level creativity and innovation. Sri Aurobindo has predicted #WorldUnion in his #FiveDreams broadcast on August 14, 1947. It can start from India. 

Leftist ideology has been the butt of criticism for the last three four decades, but poverty and deprivation haven't vanished. Strangely, political parties no longer consider it as an issue. Eastern States of India have, traditionally, been suffering from deep economic disparity.

Thanks to Ken Wilber, Sri Aurobindo became known among Western intellectuals. His philosophy of evolution is cited at times vis-à-vis Plotinus, Schelling, Hegel, Nietzsche, Bergson, Whitehead, et al. His epic Savitri, also, has been compared to that of Dante, Goethe, and Milton.

Ananda means endlessness or Immortality. Aspiration for it is the primary need in the yoga of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo. But surrender to them is the means for this task. Because it's only through the joint action of the call and the grace that success in this can be achieved.

Many people express scepticism about philosophy being scientific. But it's simple to demonstrate. Sri Aurobindo's philosophy involving the cycle of evolution and involution irrefutably proposes action of Divine plan. Thus, it's an integration of science, philosophy, and religion.

Savitri Era Religion (2006) has neither Govt recognition nor public acceptance. Yet worshipping The Mother & Sri Aurobindo as the one Supreme Divine is the most modern and rational religion without the tyranny of any mythology or rituals. Savitri and The Life Divine are the base.

The philosophy of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo isn't limited to the Ashram or Auroville. Their devotees are present all over the globe who carry forward the aspiration for descent of the Supramental consciousness. Seeking their infinite love and grace is a daily affair for devotees. 

Savitri Era Party (2007) reiterates its demand for recognising Savitri Era Religion (2006) as a separate religion and returning Matrimandir and Auroville to the devotees of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo.

It was easy to castigate the Eminent Historians but Hindutva scholars have failed miserably in producing even primary books on Indian history. There's no consensus among their intellectuals on various facts and mixing myth and propaganda continues to be their strategy. Sad state!

Sri Aurobindo left Chandannagar and arrived at Puducherry on April 4, 1910. It turns out that he would be meeting The Mother's husband there with whom The Mother herself would come after four years. British and French colonialism plus WWI provide good backdrop to the whole drama.

Surrender to The Mother & Sri Aurobindo is the duty of the Devotees and the basis of Savitri Era Religion is that. It's not easy to predict future events relying on their writings. But aspiration for Supramental consciousness should be a constant task. Reading Savitri helps too.

Institutions have their own compulsions, but devotees, in general, are relatively free as regards their devotion to The Mother & Sri Aurobindo. Seeking their love and grace and surrendering all aspects of life to their will and guidance should be a spontaneously joyful endeavour.

Savitri Era Party has been opposing Hindutva since its inception, in 2007. Savitri Era Religion (2006) has no connection with Hindu or any other religion. Govt must recognise it as a separate religion and return Auroville and Matrimandir to devotees of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo.

Considering the vast amount of writings of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo, Sri Aurobindo Studies should have been a full-fledged subject in Universities. It would have provided the right orientation to students who come from the general streams of Humanities.

All political parties have contributed significantly to the growth of democracy in India. BJP too has its positive side but Hindutva has damaged social harmony. A day will come when its leaders will understand this. Savitri Era Party and Savitri Era Religion are the best options.

No one is writing on Sri Aurobindo or his philosophy although there are myriad themes in his writings. His narrative poems and the plays are a world apart. His discussions on poetry, similarly, offer wide ranging insights. However, the underlying premise is the spiritual reality.

The first railway track was constructed in Chennai in 1835 and development of India has been continuing since then. So no govt should take extra credit for achieving this or that. What we see today in any sector is a cumulative result. It'll grow in the course of the next decade.

Savitri Era Religion seeks to spread love and devotion towards The Mother & Sri Aurobindo who are the one Supreme Divine without any connection with any other religion or philosophy. Their epochal philosophy of evolution promises descent of the Supramental consciousness on earth.

Reading The Mother & Sri Aurobindo’s books is a branch of higher education which supplements other fields of study. It also provides interdisciplinary perspectives for inculcating an integral approach to problem solving and designing harmonious environment incarnateword.in

Sri Aurobindo shouldn't be compared to his contemporaries nor the present day gurus. Studying his philosophy or poetry in comparison to the Western thinkers and poets can be rewarding but as regards the evolutionary relevance of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo, there is no precedence.

Sri Aurobindo Ashram-Delhi Branch is holding an immersion in classical music and devotional songs (March 20-25) to mark the 95th birth anniversary celebrations of Karuna didi (Devi Karunamayee). She was an exponent in Hindustani Classical Music and known for her devotional songs.

Worshipping The Mother & Sri Aurobindo as the one Supreme Divine, who are always present in their three poises, is the founding principle of Savitri Era Religion, established in 2006. Savitri Era Party (2007) requests the Govt. to return Auroville and Matrimandir to the devotees.

The recent Supreme Court judgement apropos Auroville is a superficial one. Matrimandir being the sanctum sanctorum for the devotees of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo needs to be returned back to them. Ownership and administration of #Auroville therefore should be handed over to them.

Evolution, like gravitation, is very much a physical process. Humanity was oblivious about it till Darwin and others proved it scientifically. The Mother & Sri Aurobindo explained its spiritual significance, and showed the path of yoga how to hasten it. All must pursue this task.

Marxist outlook has taken the study in Humanities to new heights, but the challenge is to break new ground by incorporating what The Mother & Sri Aurobindo have contributed. Universities have an epochal role to play towards it. The Secret of the Veda can be a good place to start.

Surrendering to The Mother & Sri Aurobindo, and seeking their grace, is essential for transformation of human nature and rising to the next level of higher consciousness. Accepting them as the one Supreme Divine without any connection with the old religions is also indispensable.

Immortality is not an impossibility. The Veda proclaims it and The Mother & Sri Aurobindo have explained how it is a logical culmination of the evolutionary progression of consciousness from matter to life and mind onwards. So surrender to The Mother & Sri Aurobindo is necessary.

For most people, knowledge about The Life Divine is limited to the General Awareness quiz, Which is the most famous book of Sri Aurobindo? The book, certainly, is not everyone's cup of tea, but educated people can benefit immensely if they try reading it or cover even some parts.

Savitri Era Religion is most suitable for the modern generation. No mythology and no rituals but based on a very convincing philosophy and prophecy. Worshipping The Mother & Sri Aurobindo as the one Supreme Divine is fundamental with all the freedom to interrogate them critically. 

Peter Heehs has written the most informative book on The Mother. It's, primarily, meant for the general readers, since most people in India are not aware of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo. Nevertheless, it should also find a place in the home of every devotee.

Savitri Era Religion neither encourages nor appoves anyone posing as guru or guide. No one can teach the method of Integral yoga since there is none. As regards knowledge anyone can acquire it from the books. Devotees shouldn't be unduly impressed by physical appearance or dress.

Some discussion is going on the Veda and it's instructive to remember that the traditional understanding of the text is as erroneous as the Western interpretations. Sri Aurobindo's commentary and translations should be relied upon along with Kapali Sastry, VM Reddy, & RL Kashyap.

Instead of gaining spiritual powers or mystical experiences, transformation of human nature is the priority in Savitri Era Religion. Worshipping The Mother & Sri Aurobindo as the one Supreme Divine, and seeking their grace by surrendering to them, form the basic necessity for it.

Teachings of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo pertain to the whole mankind. They also talk about human unity and world peace. Divisions obtaining on the basis of languages or nationality are transitional. Descent of Supramental consciousness will transform the human situation radically. 

Sri Aurobindo started writing in public in 1893. The political situation troubled him but his radical views had to be toned down at editor's hint. However, his line of thinking led to the split of Congress in 1907. He demanded complete Independence of India from the British rule.

Sri Aurobindo's The Doctrine of Passive Resistance was published in 1907 which had set the mode of Freedom struggle in the future years. A nation's right to liberty and creativity was the basis of his argument against the British rule. He was reiterating the British philosophers.

Although Independence of India was his prime concern, Sri Aurobindo was, simultaneously, thinking about the nature of an ideal society and harmony among nations. Of the three core principles of the French Revolution, he focused on Fraternity based on the intrinsic unity of souls.

Sri Aurobindo's writings, after his retirement from active politics, belong to a different wavelength altogether. On finding serious contractions in the traditional interpretation of the Isha Upanishad, he started writing his own thoughts which took the shape as, The Life Divine.

Integrating the scientific theory of evolution with the Vedic idea of the ladder of consciousness is the most volcanic contribution of Sri Aurobindo to the world of thought. Not only a philosophy, it's also a prophecy. Descent of Supramental consciousness will transform humanity.

The Mother and Sri Aurobindo met each other for the first time on March 29, 1914 in Puducherry. Worshipping them as the one Supreme Divine and seeking their grace for accelerating the process of evolution forms the core of Integral yoga. Savitri Era Religion invites all for this.

After launching Savitri Era Learning Forum (2005), Savitri Era Religion (2006), and Savitri Era Party (2007), I had the ringside view of the Book controversy which raged from 2008 to 2011. Many frontline devotees were involved and religion was a pejorative. I wanted to reverse it. 

The Mother & Sri Aurobindo have warned against their yoga turning into a religion. This fact was used to the hilt to deny divinity to them. Leftists and the rationalists were in the forefront which also suited to the interests of Western favourites like Christianity and Buddhism.

Indian devotees weren't against religion, per se, but the influence of Hindutva was working overtime. Political climate too introduced a muscular element into nationalism. So, keeping Sri Aurobindo firmly within the ambit of Hinduism and India became a well established framework.

Supreme Court had decided against Sri Aurobindo's yoga being a separate religion in the Auroville case in 1983, but the dissenting judgement of Justice O. Chinnappa Reddy had laid down clear principles for it. I had launched Savitri Era Religion in 2006 accordingly. Twenty years!

Govt snatching away Auroville in 1980 was a body blow. The then prevailing situation might have warranted it but there's no reason why it shouldn't be returned to the rightful owner after a lapse of 45 years. The latest Supreme Court verdict fails to address this basic injustice.

What happened in Ayodhya recently is like Auroville in miniature. Sri Aurobindo's Relics Centre was clandestinely acquired by the adjacent Ram Temple campus. This place has a long history with connection to the devotees in Odisha. I'm not aware of the controversy's current status. 

Devotees of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo are generally peace loving and seek harmony. The Mother had prohibited politics in the Ashram and hence devotees are averse to it. Further, yoga is personal and so being united on issues is needless. I had launched Savitri Era Party in 2007.

The Mother & Sri Aurobindo avoided accepting disciples on a mass scale, but their devotees have multiplied manifold. In the absence of any dominant visible model, local Centres teach in their own way. But Hindutva forces are trying to capture them and using devotees as vote bank.

In his new book on The Mother, Peter Heehs gives an account of her meeting with Sri Aurobindo on March 29, 1914 (p97). Apart from their own diary notings, her conversations with disciples at different points of time indicate how she at once recognised Sri Aurobindo as the Divine.

After their meeting in Puducherry on March 29, 1914, The Mother & Sri Aurobindo sarted a monthly philosophical magazine called Arya, in August 1914. Significantly, the World War I broke out at the same time. Historians are yet to fathom the occult dimensions of these two events.

Matrimandir was built by the devotees of The Mother as per her vision and plan. Unfortunately, it's in the Govt hands at present. Savitri Era Party (2007) demands for recognising Savitri Era Religion (2006) as a separate religion and return ownership of Auroville to the devotees.

Yoga of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo is not dependent upon material objects. Therefore, there should be no objection if the Ayodhya centre is relocated for the sake of a larger adjacent project. However, devotees have a right to defend their property. But good sense should prevail.

Being hostages to the hormones, human beings have very little freedom for emancipatory exercises like yoga. Worshipping The Mother & Sri Aurobindo as the one Supreme Divine, therefore, opens up immense possibilities through their grace. It amounts to collaboration with evolution.

No book of The Mother or Sri Aurobindo can explain their philosophy in its totality. Similarly no book on them has been able to give a complete picture of their contribution and influence. There's reluctance to document their legacy and potentiality. Surely a herculean negligence. 

The Mother & Sri Aurobindo didn't create any new religion. They weren't interested in publicity nor in attracting a large number of followers. They advised their disciples to practice yoga, but a free-for-all state developed after their departure. I launched Savitri Era Religion.

Intellectual atmosphere, in India, was terribly dependent on the West during the last century. This century has seen a lot of hubris without a sound reservoir of theory. The writings of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo, in this context, carry immense value for education and aesthetics.

Example of other countries don't matter much. Despite the British influence, India is unable to come out of medieval atmosphere. Mythology, rituals, and superstitions rule the roost. Savitri Era Party drawing inspiration from The Mother & Sri Aurobindo seeks to support modernity.

More and more videos are revealing how the old Hindi songs stole foreign tunes. It feels bad, but the whole process of depictng movie scenes and the lyrics involved a lot of creativity. Bollywood has proved to be a successful secular mythology in our lives. 

The lives of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo were extraordinary by any standard. Approaching them with devotion, without any critical yardstick, is the best way to benefit from their infinite love and compassion. Savitri Era Religion is the most convenient way for shedding hesitation.

Sri Aurobindo's theoretical formulations have ably been analysed vis-à-vis that of Western thinkers but current level of intellectual standard in India lacks competence to take advantage of it. The time hasn't come it seems and Savitri Era Religion is the best bet in the meantime. 

While Hindutva finds some value in Sri Aurobindo, albeit absolutely truncated, The Mother is, practically, of no use to it. The fact that devotees, in such large numbers, worship her as the Supreme Divine and periodically visit Puducherry to offer respects, is a pain in the neck.

Madhusudan Mishra's contribution towards expanding and vivifying Sri Aurobindo Study Circle network in Odisha is immense. He undertook extensive tours throughout the State to motivate devotees in far flung areas. Also created a solid Zone-wise organisational base which continues.

Odisha has the largest number of devotees of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo and a State level Conference is held every year at Matrubhaban, Cuttack from April 4 to 7. Speakers and devotees from other States also attend for inspiration. Sri Aurobindo Srikshetra, Dalijoda is nearby too. 

The Mother’s birthday is on 21st and Sri Aurobindo has drawn many pen-portraits of her in Savitri. Victory over death has profound significance pertaining to this Vedic prophecy. It's also the culmination and consummation of the scientific inquiry apropos evolution and longevity.

All religions rely on irrational reverence and Savitri Era Religion is no different. All those who have come in contact with The Mother & Sri Aurobindo are blessed. They have been endowed with the capability of or responsibility for carrying forward the evolution of consciousness. 

It's a bust and not a statue. Please address him as Sri Aurobindo শ্রীঅরবিন্দ which is his correct name.

Sri Aurobindo didn't write in Bengali and hence he is not regarded as one. His migrating to Puducherry and association with The Mother further alienates him. His banishment from text books and cultural scene worsens the matter. Besides, he wasn't awarded Nobel prize. So, no hero!

Satprem's books reveal diverse dimensions of The Mother and the urgency and inevitability of the yoga of the cells that she practiced. It's too complex for common perception, and seems to be of no relevance when people are so obsessed with things like nationalism or reservations.

Savitri Era Religion ensues from the futuristic vision of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo who are the one Supreme Divine and lead the march of evolution. Surrender to them is essential for aspiration for the descent of the Supramental consciousness. Anyone can join sans any formality.

Along with Sri Aurobindo's The Mother's writings constitute a vast treasure.

New Age and spiritual writings have mushroomed in the web but reading the works of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo provides authentic guidance. Further, worshipping them as the one Supreme Divine without the burden of any mythology or rituals amounts to embracing Savitri Era Religion.

Current century has brought enormous prosperity due to which modern outlook has spread among young generation. However many feel suffocated by the tradition. So no better alternative than worshipping The Mother & Sri Aurobindo as the one Supreme Divine under Savitri Era Religion.

Just because of the Ashram, they shouldn't be compared to other gurus or seers. The Mother & Sri Aurobindo are the one Supreme Divine who are always present in their three poises. So it's also wrong to call them as avatar or incarnations. Worshipping them is Savitri Era Religion.

The Mother & Sri Aurobindo were successful in spreading the impression that they aren't creating any new religion while devotees and disciples were multiplying around their divinity. The veneer of spirituality and yoga needed to be shed and I started Savitri Era Religion in 2006.

After 77 years of Independence, India hasn't been able to produce a good democracy or economy. The country cannot be proud of excellence in any field. In such a depressing scenario, the philosophy and yoga of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo is a beacon of hope for the whole humanity.

Vague respect for Sri Aurobindo is not enough. There must be wider awareness of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo as the one Supreme Divine. They are in charge of leading the evolution and descent of Supramental consciousness. Ultimate goal is physical Immortality or victory over death.

Worshipping The Mother & Sri Aurobindo as the one Supreme Divine with love, devotion, surrender, and loyalty is of paramount importance. This is the common faith that binds all the devotees. Savitri Era Religion is meant for expressing this unity for assuring the next generation.

The Mother was born on February 21, 1878, in France, who came to India to meet Sri Aurobindo on March 29, 1914. Ashram in Puducherry was set up on November 24, 1926 as their disciples grew in number. Worshipping them as the one Supreme Divine is the basis of Savitri Era Religion.

Even while it's apparent that our individual existence is never in isolation, the concept of yoga, paradoxically, is predominantly personal. Building a relationship with The Mother & Sri Aurobindo is an, entirely, solitary project. There's no holiday, as MP Pandit had counselled.

If one has no hesitation to regard The Mother & Sri Aurobindo as the one Supreme Divine, then he or she is squarely in the middle of a new religion. Those who prefer to take the yoga route, to avoid this extreme position, are free to do so, till they muster sufficient conviction.

I have been active online for the last twenty years and normally I have avoided quoting from the works of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo. For me, they are immensely sacred having mantric powers which I shouldn't scatter here and there. Paraphrasing or providing links would be better.

New handles are being marshalled to spread disinformation on The Mother & Sri Aurobindo or to vilify them. This is the sure sign that Savitri Era Religion has started pinching where it hurts most. This, of course, is inevitable and devotees should prepare themselves to weather it. 

Reading the books of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo on a regular basis is important from the point of view of yoga. The very act of reading in a devotional state of mind requires some amount of effort, implying collaboration with evolution, apart from intellectual or aesthetic gains.

A book-seller from Faridabad was short of funds and offered half of his Stall space in the World Book Fair to Dr. Gyanchandra, in 1996. And thus started my decade-long association with Pragati Maidan. It was a rich experience of suggesting Sri Aurobindo's philosophy to strangers.

The Mother & Sri Aurobindo talked about accelerating the process of evolution regarding which neither science nor any religion has any clue. They also worked for reconfiguration of body cells by pressing the consciousness into service. Thus, it's physics, biology, and psychology.

I have indicated from time to time our opposition to Hindutva and Modi but at the same time have expressed support to the govt as it has performed reasonably on the democracy as well as the development front. Therefore I was happy to read CPM's assessment to the chagrin of allies. 

At seventy, Bollywood songs equip me with a treasure of secular mythology since the music is never alone. Memories of watching the movie, the story, the charisma of the stars, their real life romance and break up, etc provide a rich narrative. Then of course the political slants.

The writings of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo cover varieties of topics but using them for strict theoretical positions is fraught with hazard. Worshipping them as the one Supreme Divine is the preliminary step. Other benefits should ensue from that orientation of love and devotion.

Wellbeing or success can't be the whole object of turning to The Mother & Sri Aurobindo. It's rather the other way round. Worshipping them as the one Supreme Divine or surrendering to them can usher in many possibilities or potentialities. That's the secret of being an instrument. 

If The Satanic Verses is in the bookstore, let's hope that The Lives of Sri Aurobindo by Peter Heehs too is sold in India. The book was banned in 2008 due to the activism of some misguided devotees. Savitri Era Party, however, has been demanding lifting the ban from time to time.

Politics in India refuses to be disentangled from the pre-Independence scenario because people are still searching for icons from those days. Unfortunately, no one is interested in Sri Aurobindo as his philosophy doesn't support any sectarian stand. Savitri Era Party has patience. 

Indian and Buddhist philosophies are taught in many Western Universities but they are not bothered about what Sri Aurobindo has written. Ken Wilber's books provide some orientation on Sri Aurobindo, in whatever imperfect way. CIIS, sadly, is no longer interested in Sri Aurobindo.

Appreciating Sri Aurobindo properly takes at least a decade. All educated men have multiple heroes but one may drop them one by one till #SriAurobindo reigns alone. This happens on sheer merit. Not esotericism, mysticism, or spirituality, his socio-political ideas have that fire.

What would you recommend? Through reading their books or by meditation and intense devotion? How can someone new experience that sort of confidence and equanimity?

Your appreciation seems to be deep and meticulous. Not many are endowed with such scholarly scrupulousness.

Savitri Era Religion emphasises the supremacy of Sri Aurobindo's philosophy as a solution for present problems of humanity. Worshipping The Mother & Sri Aurobindo as the one Supreme Divine is the most potent means of collaborating with the evolutionary forces towards Supramental.

Now, it's normal to find third or fourth generation of devotees of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo. Obviously, intellectual appreciation as well as critical evaluation is on the rise since people are exposed to diverse streams of spirituality. Savitri Era Religion is keen on devotion.

What The Mother & Sri Aurobindo pointed out as vital or hostile forces are, in fact, part of our own biology and psychology. Overcoming them is not easy since we are wired that way. Savitri Era Religion is a path to escape that iron law. Surrender lets higher consciousness to act. 

Collective activities and celebration of special days have their own utility and relevance, but yoga is, intensely, personal. The concept of collective yoga is to accept others as oneself because of the intrinsic unity of all beings. That's, certainly, only at the abstract level.

Genesis of Savitri Era Religion can be traced to the meeting of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo, at Puducherry, on March 29, 1914. This year, it will be the 111th anniversary of this great occasion. Though not a Darshan Day, it's no less in significance. All must prepare to celebrate.

After thirteen years on this platform, I still find that Hindutva intellectuals continue to misrepresent Sri Aurobindo. No one tries to read even a page from his vast literature, but they take pleasure in commenting on him with great authority. Pitiable state of public discourse!

The dual challenge of understanding The Mother & Sri Aurobindo's philosophy and appreciating it in comparison to other thinkers on the one hand and worshipping them as the one Supreme Divine and surrendering to them with love, devotion, and loyalty on the other is an enormous one. 

It's normal for people to be influenced by political leaderships but the irrational exuberance of some in equating the current regime to an indication of the Supramental consciousness predicted by The Mother & Sri Aurobindo is bordering on the absurd. But then, each to their own.
