Savitri Era: The Mother & Sri Aurobindo represent the highest ideals

Twitter turned X today. I am reminded of the word twixt being replaced by in in the revised edition of Savitri by Sri Aurobindo. R.Y. Deshpande protested a decade back. thelivesofsriaurobindo.com/2013/05/apropo
It's possible to make people interested in higher ideals shown by The Mother & Sri Aurobindo. It's a matter of education and communication. Coherent strategies needed in the modern environment. Focusing on meditation and spirituality has its limitations. Political cue can appeal.
The concept of mantra is not confined to Sanskrit in Sri Aurobindo's universe. Savitri is considered as mantra apart from many short poems like Rose of God. The Mother's Prayers and Meditations and other sayings are recited by devotees. Om Sri Aurobindo Mira is by Sri Aurobindo.
Having witnessed many political upheavals and ideological wars during the last sixty years, I don't take the confidence of the current regime as secure. From the point of view of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo, Hindutva is regressive and obscurantist. That doesn't mean I back dynasty.
Immortality, as dreamt in the Veda, is the top aim of Sri Aurobindo's philosophy. The second target is descent of the Supramental consciousness as the next stage of evolution. The third one is establishing Harmony in personal and collective life. Surrender to The Mother is needed.

I'm fortunate that I came to know The Mother & Sri Aurobindo at a very young age in a village in Odisha. My study of their books and magazines continued thereafter. My writings on them since 2005 is available date wise: savitriera.blogspot.com Savitri Era Religion is my creation.
The journey of Western philosophy during the 20th century is a very interesting story. How one school rose and then waned within a decade or two speaks of the fierce intellectual battle going on. Against this confusing backdrop, Sri Aurobindo's philosophy stands firm and solid.
The Mother & Sri Aurobindo used to guide their disciples in inner sadhana and experience. Four volumes of Letters on Yoga cover these aspects. They may not interest those busy in practical matters but consciousness has a role in deciding things and changing the course of events.

Knowing Sanskrit is not necessary for understanding The Mother & Sri Aurobindo. That's a great advantage in the modern world. Their works have been translated into different languages but it's better to read in original English. Many of The Mother's works are originally in French.
Colonialism introduced modern culture in India and the transformation continues aided by technology and communication. Savitri Era Religion, inspired by The Mother & Sri Aurobindo, doesn't have any connection with the past and hence supports the modern culture and market economy.
The trick is to learn early. Beyond general education and profession, The Mother & Sri Aurobindo teach something very important about life and attitude towards different areas. Developing an authentic and healthy narrative is also part of the pack. Being proactive is the secret.
The Mother & Sri Aurobindo are the one Supreme Divine and their future vision has strong philosophical underpinnings. Hundreds of Educational institutions and Study Circles run for dissemination of their ideals. Anyone desirous of seeing a better human society should follow them.
A lot of debate is going on on schwa. Listening to this Odia song by Mohammed Rafi can clear many doubts.
There are many versions of Critical Theory but they all get bogged down in the quagmire of rational thinking. Sri Aurobindo talks about the Supraphysical as part of the reality which makes his philosophy as the real Critical Theory. Indians need to understand his contributions.
The books of Sri Aurobindo are a good academic treasure against the traditional Indian philosophy and mythology. But Savitri Era Religion transcends them where The Mother & Sri Aurobindo are worshipped as the one Supreme Divine. Those belonging to old religions should stay away.

You are perhaps trying to stress that we are just another sampradaya of some larger culture. But no. We, the devotees of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo, are altogether a new religion called Savitri Era Religion. There's no concept of Avatara or Guru in the philosophy of our religion.
No one says sorry so easily. You are extraordinary.
Great. Hope you X more on The Mother & Sri Aurobindo so that more people know them.
Functionaries of top religions and sects command considerable clout and people, willingly, defer to them. Minority religions, unfortunately, don't enjoy such luxury. Even the Civil Society is callous about their claims and complains. Crowd, like Art films, doesn't signify wisdom.
The songs of Mohammed Rafi are incomparable. The sweetness and wide range of his voice will never be replicated. #MohammedRafi
Modernity expected too much from philosophy and theory. More and more writings gave the impression of as if the solution to human problems is in the offing. Thankfully, Sri Aurobindo wrote The Life Divine marking the end of intellectual speculation. The task now is to follow him.
Savitri Era Religion is the best religion with the best philosophy. No other religion has such a superb combination. Further, it is free from mythology, rituals, and superstitions. Compensatingly the writings of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo give intellectual and aesthetic enjoyment.
The Mother & Sri Aurobindo recommended Integral yoga and Integral education for perfection of human life. In the absence of govt. initiative on this score, individuals have to follow it on their own. This is an evolutionary inevitability and the pioneers will reap rich dividends.
None of the institutions relating to The Mother & Sri Aurobindo give a true picture of them. Celebrations too focus on the revolutionary period of Sri Aurobindo. Savitri Era Religion attempts to reinforce, in the public mind, their status of being the eternal, one Supreme Divine.
Savitri Era Religion will replace all other religions on merit. So instead of wasting time in fruitless comparisons, accepting this modern religion is the best option. Understanding the books of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo becomes easy after this. Otherwise "walking in the Sahara"
Sri Aurobindo and Hinduism by Peter Heehs is a very important document which clears many confusions with clinical precision. His book titled The Lives of Sri Aurobindo is also good barring a couple of pages which attracted much controversy way back in 2008
Most people are unaware of the famous Auroville Case. While the majority judgement disallowed a separate religion status, the lone dissenting judgement of Justice O. Chinnappa Reddy gave a detailed justification for the devotees of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo being a new religion.
Auroville is in turmoil but the nation is sitting pretty. It's not a minor affair about a tiny enclave tucked away in far away Tamil Nadu. It's a Constitutional anomaly. Govt. snatched it away from devotees. Let the sane voice of Justice O. Chinnappa Reddy is heeded to return it.
The Mother & Sri Aurobindo encouraged people from different countries to be their disciples and followers thus sowing the seeds of a new religion. Justice O. Chinnappa Reddy has clearly articulated the validity of a new religion in the Auroville case (1982). Govt should recognise.
Auroville is the property of Savitri Era Religion and Govt must return it to Devotees. In deference to the dissenting judgement of Justice O. Chinnappa Reddy, Govt must stop meddling in the affairs of Auroville and desist from peddling a secular avatar of #Auroville to tourists.
Even best of judicial pronouncements, like that of O. Chinnappa Reddy in Auroville case, succumb to the numbers game. indiankanoon.org/doc/312939/
