Savitri Era Religion is the logical outcome of my personal growth

Collated X posts in original by Tusar Nath Mohapatra

The other day, I received a request to buy and read the book, Svayambodha and Shatrubodha and also join their WhatsApp group, if interested. Since I don't use WhatsApp or Online Banking, I excused myself. Now, of course, I'm part of Arattai and feel proud that my wait bore fruit. I also intimated that I'm not very enthusiastic about the kind of things they are engrossed with. Having lived in the psychological environment of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo for over sixty years, it's a Blessing for me not to be attracted by run-of-the-mill concerns and impulses.

As I turn 70 today, I look back at the last 20 years during which I have consistently provided intellectual leadership centring around The Mother & Sri Aurobindo. savitriera.blogspot.com and selforum.blogspot.com continue to spread right perspective and light of wisdom and yoga. With reasonable material achievements, and daughters in intellectual atmosphere, I take satisfaction from the leap out of the Odisha village where I was born and brought up. Odisha, however, leads the country in having the largest number of devotees of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo. Not being part of any outside organisation or group, I may claim to have provided a reasonably independent, objective, neutral, and critical view of things, via Savitri Era Religion and Savitri Era Party, in contrast to the partisanship and biligerence witnessed on this platform. The Mother & Sri Aurobindo aim at Perfection and Harmony. Although, it's not easy to achieve it at the human level, understanding the dynamics of it from their books is the task. As Director of Savitri Era Learning Forum (SELF), I have been encouraging people to read, since 2005. Savitri Era Religion is the logical outcome of my personal growth, study, and social struggle. Since their complex system of philosophy and yoga remained confined to a tiny minority, worshipping The Mother & Sri Aurobindo as the one Supreme Divine is the only way for popularity.

People are constantly evaluating various persons in history, and how different events shaped the future. The answers aren't easy to find because deliberate distortion of narratives is going on. Therefore, repeating, Sri Aurobindo is the greatest poet and philosopher is necessary.

Savitri Era Religion is confident that the present religions, and their various versions, will face severe interrogation by the younger generation. In such an event, worshipping The Mother & Sri Aurobindo will be the most logical step given their formidable intellectual treasure.

When a doctor or engineer tells about consciousness or yoga, he is taken more seriously. But it should be remembered that science and non-science are different fields. Sri Aurobindo's Adventure of consciousness is a matter of psychology, and is yet to be established empirically.

Thanks @archieposts for defending Sri Aurobindo, but a deeper look would reveal there's a grain of truth in the criticism of him. He may not be a British agent as alleged, but he and The Mother were certainly the agents of Enlightenment. His, The Secret of the Veda is subversive.

None of us are privy to a vision of a Rishi. So it would be better if you can tell how your reading differs from me. Academic discussion necessary instead of rhetoric.

That's subjective but the books are there in the public domain. In the yoga of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo, there can be successive experiences. I don't think you have read The Secret of the Veda with due attention.

Sri Aurobindo's thoughts are revolutionary.

Sri Aurobindo proposes a new interpretation by discarding traditional commentaries like Sayana's. He provides symbolic meanings like Indra = mind. Thus the mythological gods and goddesses turn different levels of consciousness. He also interpretes Yajnya as internal. So no ritual.

I'm saying exactly that which is subversive of tradition.

Savitri Era Religion doesn't believe that The Mother & Sri Aurobindo didn't want to create any new religion. They knew that the field is not prepared and disciples have to be weaned away from their respective past environments. Therefore they euphemistically called it a new yoga.

India is a multiparty democracy and Savitri Era Party has a distinct ideology. Although The Mother & Sri Aurobindo were not interested in active politics, the situation of the country warrants that their admirers, devotees, and followers come forward to give leadership to people.

The Bible and the Making of Modern India By VISHAL MANGALWADI is an important document to understand our present circumstances. This also provides the background to situate the epochal contributions of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo in appropriate perspective.

Borrowing books from library, and paying late fee at times, was routine. So, when Internet arrived at home in 2005, it was like manna from heaven. 20 years later, GoogleAI provides ready-made research on any question which surpasses human capability. And, it's just the beginning!

I have been writing about me all these years since nobody else would do it. So, I must thank GoogleAI for taking the trouble of assessing my performance and summarising it in an admirable manner. @Wikipedia

Devotion to The Mother & Sri Aurobindo as the one Supreme Divine, who are always present in their three poises, transcends their biographies. Drawing their power and compassion for the current problems of the world and future harmony necessitates our love, loyalty, and surrender.

Political battle between different religions go on uninterrupted, but Savitri Era Religion reminds of the transcendent. The Mother & Sri Aurobindo talk about evolution of the inherent divine consciousness towards truth, perfection, and endlessness. All are invited to collaborate!

Savitri Era Party is nothing but an aspiration for giving shape to the #FiveDreams, #WorldUnion, and #TheLifeDivine. Yet I'm accused of nourishing political ambition! It's high time the devotees of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo realised that they would have to come forward and unite.

I might have heard of him earlier but had completely forgotten. I was stirred out of my peace yesterday when I read about Max Stirner who is known to have influenced many including Marx and Nietzsche. A significant but controversial figure who was suppressed by his contemporaries.

Interesting debate is going on on Vivekananda. It's unfortunate that correct information is not available even on him. However, Savitri Era Religion is firmly against astrology, mythology, and rituals. Reading The Secret of the Veda by Sri Aurobindo can shed light on this aspect.

Sri Aurobindo's #FiveDreams speech was broadcast over All India Radio, Tiruchirappalli, a few hours before which has more significance for the future of India and the world. Needless to mention that August 15, 1947 happened to be his 75th birth anniversary incarnateword.in/cwsa/36/the-fi…
