Govt can't be the owner for ever

Savitri Era: Sri Aurobindo outlines the philosophy of the future savitriera.blogspot.com/2022/05/sri-au

1. The 12 are actually 8+4 and that might give some clue 2. The genealogy from Max Théon and prior to that shouldn't be overlooked. (Genealogies of Transnational Religion: Translation, Revelation, and Discursive Technologies in Two Female Gurus of Esoteric Vedanta by Nika Kuchuk)
Sure, I have said it earlier but devotees by definition are spread across the world. So, how it will work out will depend on the wisdom of the persons handling the matter in the ministry.
Auroville is bogged down in the mire of procedural wrangle. Govt of India itself is the culprit. It must return Matrimandir and Auroville to the devotees of The Mother and Sri Aurobindo in deference to their religious sentiments. Govt takeover was an anomaly and must be reversed.
Auroville was taken over by the Govt of India on flimsy grounds. Time now to vacate and return it to the rightful owners. Devotees of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo must own and manage the Matrimandir and not the Govt. Administration of the Golden Temple wasn't taken over by the Govt
Devotees of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo who serve, or are associated with, the Govt owned Auroville Foundation must introspect. Govt occupation of Auroville is patently illegitimate and immoral. Liberation of Auroville from Govt hands is the need of the hour and all should demand.
Visiting Puducherry periodically or on Darshan days is the rule no. 1. Not all people visit. So it's not universal. A set of people visit or long to visit. Thus they form a sect or a cult. When the number grows, it becomes a religion. The Mother & Sri Aurobindo made paraphernalia
Those fighting against the Govt highhandedness in Auroville, valiantly, at present are doing so for a limited purpose but the resistance must snowball into the larger goal of ousting the Govt from Auroville. The devotees must unite, foreigners or domestic. There should be clarity
Thanks for the advice but that wouldn't drown my voice. You don't have any stake here but I have.
You are advising me off and on for a decade now but I'm recalcitrant. So just tolerate.
Hindu zealots don't want the new religion around The Mother & Sri Aurobindo to grow. They sabotaged the 150th anniversary year celebrations by fabricating a fake controversy in Auroville. One nondescript university is trying to secularise their teachings by equating with Tagore.
The Mother & Sri Aurobindo took birth as agents of evolution. They represent interweaving of multiple cultures and foresee dawning of a harmonious human society. Before that existing systems and instincts will undergo a great deal of churning. Old religions are likely to collapse
All those who invoke The Mother's Vision and the Master Plan must remember that The Mother never ever thought of the Govt managing Auroville. Thus, it's a fundamental error and an unethical encroachment. Reversing the same and recognising the new religion should be the priority.
The very word Matrimandir can be translated as The Mother's Temple (implying a new religion) where the devotees experience a special feeling not available to others. Rest of Auroville is an extension. What the Parliament has done is in contravention to The Mother's plan & vision.
If a Temple doesn't signify religion then what it's meant for? Visiting a temple or an ashram itself is a ritual. What The Mother & Sri Aurobindo said or did is of less concern here. How their devotees practice today and express their devotion and loyalty defines the new religion
Sri Aurobindo's symbol is very much there and the crystal ball upon it can be imagined as The Mother's symbol. Collective meditation takes place everyday which is no less than a ritual. The twelve petals extend into the garden
The Mother & Sri Aurobindo predate the New Age phenomenon. Tagore's poem and C.R. Das' speech in the court testify Sri Aurobindo's preeminence. What The Mother wrote on March 30, 1914 gives the stamp of approval. So there shouldn't be any doubt and no need to compare with others.
Your interpretation applies to old religions but our religion is new and evolving. Even the presence of a book like SAVITRI is considered a deity. Therefore, I announced the founding of Savitri Era Religion way back in 2006. You can check my old blog posts savitriera.blogspot.com

You are confined to your personal and private zone and thus are free to pursue any mixture or flavour you like. Being in public life I, conversely, don't enjoy such luxury. I take strong stands, tell things bluntly, and try not to compromise for pelf or position. I'm not a Hindu.
You say there's no need but from the legal and practical point of view, officially belonging to a particular religion has many merits instead of playing a hide and seek game. It's not a luxury, it's a fundamental aspect of living free in a plural society.
I have simply paraphrased what Justice O. Chinnappa Reddy said in his dissenting verdict in the Auroville case.
No one can serve two masters 26-09-2006 Tusar Nath Mohapatra said... But how to tackle the opposition from within? When insiders are busy worshiping multiple gods and acting as Trojan horses, then to think of Truth is sheer phantasy. savitriera.blogspot.in/2006/09/no-one
Discussions on Sri Aurobindo is growing but authenticity has taken a backseat. Each scholar is presenting his or her own accumulated knowledge and outlook by citing Sri Aurobindo occasionally. This is the most assured way of destroying Sri Aurobindo's philosophy and its relevance.
It's unfortunate that more and more devotees of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo are falling prey to the glamour of govt backed ideological cake. It's personal choice but the evolutionary relevance needs to be adhered to without any slackness. Savitri Era Religion doesn't brook laxity.
Savitri Era Party drawing inspiration from The Mother & Sri Aurobindo is opposed to the RSS on the one hand and the Congress on the other. Admirers of Sri Aurobindo often disregard The Mother but that's not acceptable. As devotees, it's essential to be aware of who is The Mother.
The relevance of Sri Aurobindo surely needs to be protected and promoted. I have been complaining against mentioning his name alongside Vivekananda. The point is people should know the difference. The Mother & Sri Aurobindo are unique. Difficult to add other systems to their path
No one shares my tweets although I write on Sri Aurobindo, the greatest poet and philosopher our planet has produced. Sharing is the only way for spreading the message among people who are unaware of him. One may not agree with my viewpoint but at least let his name reach people.
Many have turned overnight scholars on Sri Aurobindo by reading a few quotations from the mischievous compilation titled, India's Rebirth. They might not have heard of Record of Yoga or Ahana or Rodogune. Appropriating Sri Aurobindo is not easy as he is too diverse and esoteric.
Following Sri Aurobindo is the only way to be cured of superstition, prejudice, and hatred. The Secret of the Veda is a powerhouse for unleashing illumination and clarification on a variety of social and political issues. Regrettably, it doesn't receive the reception it deserves.
Matrimandir and Auroville should be handed over to devotees so that a thorough review can be conducted of the past vis-à-vis future. Neither the Govt nor the residents have exclusive right to decide the fate of Auroville. Many politically correct initiatives need to be curtailed.
Auroville is in turmoil but the nation is sitting pretty. It's not a minor affair about a tiny enclave tucked away in far away Tamil Nadu. It's a Constitutional anomaly. Govt. snatched it away from devotees. Let the sane voice of Justice O. Chinnappa Reddy is heeded to return it.
Devotion of parents towards The Mother & Sri Aurobindo is rarely shared by their children. Thus the link is snapped abruptly. The same happens due to marriage too. Savitri Era Religion hopes to mend this lacuna by ensuring inheritance of religion. Govt recognition can facilitate.
The Mother & Sri Aurobindo worked for futuristic goals and therefore it's futile to expect perfection in present circumstances. Auroville can't produce human unity through slogans; transformation of consciousness needed. So, rectifying current errors in practical terms important.
Auroville Foundation is full of non-devotees. Thus, speaking of fulfilling The Mother's vision on their part is ridiculous. Auroville Foundation itself is not part of The Mother's vision. So how can it fulfill that? Hence, it's all hypocrisy. Govt must ensure justice to devotees.
Auroville Foundation has tweeted that Sri Aurobindo mesmerised the audience in his Uttarpara speech. But I have read that the audience was disappointed because of the religious nature of the speech instead of political. Distortion of history should be avoided by official handle.
There should be clarity on Auroville issue 1) Govt takeover was uncalled for 2) The Act is anomalous 3) Govt can't be the owner for ever 4) Residents can't claim ownership 5) Auroville should be owned by the devotees 6) New religion as per Justice O. Cinnappa Reddy be recognised.
Sociopolitical philosophy of Sri Aurobindo is a minor aspect. What's more important is his divine presence. Auroville represents that and is not merely an urban complex for a few thousand inhabitants. Human unity is a distant ideal. Environment similarly is not the sole objective
The Mother created Auroville as an extension of the Ashram meant for devotees and followers but with several relaxations. After govt takeover, vested interests are busy secularising it with a plethora of politically correct initiatives. Returning Auroville to devotees will heal.
Antipathy towards Sri Aurobindo in our country is stupendous. But intellectuals should support the demand of the devotees for getting back Auroville from the govt clutch. Something which was snatched away arbitrarily should be returned. The devotees are simply demanding justice.
Instead of tightening its tentacles over Auroville, Govt. should come out clearly on its intentions. A thorough review of the circumstances necessitating the takeover vis à vis the current situation can indicate the future task. Being awake to democratic aspirations is necessary.
Almost all handles drawing attention to Auroville are catering to partisan concerns. They are either paid or sponsored. So much caution is needed to be aware of the real issue concerning Auroville. The crux is Govt has taken over a private property which it must return to owners.
It should not be forgotten that it's the foreigners who had welcomed the govt takeover of Auroville. Now, it's they who are complaining vociferously. Navajata was vilified like anything and all his sacrifice and dedication was derided. The drama seems to have turned full circle.
Auroville Foundation may be the legal authority but it lacks legitimacy. Auroville is a religious place where non-devotees lack the necessary sensitivity. Being the hub of a new religion, Matrimandir has its own attraction but others would view it as a piece of fine architecture.
After so many decades, recognising that Navajata was the pioneer to claim a new religion around The Mother & Sri Aurobindo is vital. It came in a situation of conflict but the seed was sown. Justice O. Chinnappa Reddy readily put his stamp of approval and it is a matter of time.
