Savitri Era: Théon's Cosmic Movement to Vedic symbolism savitriera.blogspot.com/2022/10/theons Tweets in original by Tusar Nath Mohapatra (b. 1956), Founder, Savitri Era Religion (2006) and President, Savitri Era Party (2007) #SA150 Savitri Era of those who adore, Om Sri Aurobindo & The Mother.
Team spirit is a common term in organisations but what about team spirituality? Collective yoga of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo and Ashram experience are excellent reference points but without belief in their divinity any form of spirituality contemplated independently is in vain.
Study of consciousness should be segregated into three different sectors: 1. One's professional life, 2. As social beings and 3. Personal level. Many feel they can search for the truth on their own but tell things that are imperfectly plagiarised versions of earlier propositions.
Everyone needs some kind of an anchor and religion provides one. Nehruvian attempt to wean away people from it didn't succeed. Creating an aura around Gandhi failed miserably. Authentic eminence of Sri Aurobindo was ignored. Indians can't achieve genuine freedom unless rectified.
The future and not the past is our concern. The Mother & Sri Aurobindo are a strong presence for that purpose. Five Dreams of Sri Aurobindo are at work. Political scenario by and large is following that path. Those neglecting him are sure to be consigned to the dustbin of history
Political ideologies lose electoral advantage over time. That can't be an indicator of lack of merit but may be due to fatigue. In any case majority support doesn't necessarily imply quality. Personal friendship is the reason why many people cling to some ideology past its prime.
It's amusing to see people discussing and disagreeing among themselves about the identity of various deities. Not reading the works of Sri Aurobindo is the reason for wallowing in such confusion. Instead of mythological fiction, the Vedic genealogy should be the valid indicator.
Agreed that the British and Marxist historians have played havoc with recording India's past. That doesn't mean that we have to swallow whatever Hindutva scholars peddle. Who will be the umpire? Not the likes of Wire, definitely. Reading the works of Sri Aurobindo is the answer.
States are ruled by parties of different ideological persuasions and hence it's wrong to assume that India is under Hindutva spell. Neither the Central govt is very aggressive about Hindutva. So those crying hoarse are political opponents. Though they have a chance if are united.
BJP hasn't come to power on its own strength nor has it expanded any significantly during the last eight years. Personal charisma and nurturing ideology and talent are two different things. Development alone isn't an issue in this country. BJP unfortunately ignored Sri Aurobindo.
Yoga is not mere skill in works. Turning an instrument in the hands of the Divine with perfect surrender and equanimity is the secret. The day to day situation however varies with new challenges and problems. So a continuous urge towards achieving harmony all the time is the task.

I have been reading the works of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo since 1964 but it's only after migrating to Delhi in 1988 that I was exposed to books comparing Sri Aurobindo to Western philosophers in the Ashram - Delhi branch library. Two decades later I came to realise its futility.
The poetry and philosophy of Sri Aurobindo has to be understood with great care. Comparison with other thinkers facilitates following meticulously. His historical role too has to be assessed in relation to other contemporaries. But his divinity makes him stand apart from the rest
Sri Aurobindo explained how we are in the middle of the evolution process and the next step is Supramental. That's the knowledge part but the devotional element is to surrender to The Mother & Sri Aurobindo for success of this evolutionary ascent. Becoming an instrument is work.
Looking at The Mother & Sri Aurobindo in historical context and reconciling it with their being the one Supreme Divine and not merely in the familiar sense of an Avatar is a crucial perspective. Earning this seamless understanding takes long years that's pivotal to Integral yoga.
Evolution shouldn't be confused with progress or development. Evolution is at work at the physical, vital, mental, and intuition level in a harmonious manner. Development on the contrary is haphazard and piecemeal. Its outcome in the long run is doubtful. Evolution is inevitable.
Supramental force is acting in the earth atmosphere since 1956 and in that sense the effect of evolution is very much a fact. But sensing its exact footprint is impossible for us and hence finding the right political line is a difficult task whether it's Congress or the Hindutva.
One can find Sri Aurobindo's opinion changing in many respects every ten to twelve years. So those relying upon quotations of earlier periods may not get him right. Not easy to do a mapping exercise and so passing judgements upon him with thumbnail sketches knowledge is hazardous
If one is correct about his macro view of things, then he can't be relied upon for views at the micro level and vice versa. The individual and the society therefore are always at loggerheads. The contours of aspiration and evolution of society and individual similarly don't match
Rise in prosperity coupled with convenience of communication has transformed the quality of life. But the transformation that The Mother & Sri Aurobindo seek to establish is at the level of basic psychology. Beyond an ethical overhaul, it amounts to a spontaneous harmonious life.
Public participation in religious festival is cited as an example of legitimisation whereas the public itself is very much a captive consumer no different from the hapless voters in a democracy. Characterising herd behaviour as wisdom of the crowd is far-fetched and self-delusion
The appeal of Sri Aurobindo's writings or the lack of it is the same today as it was a century ago. Not to be swayed away by current affairs and strive to go deeper. Or rather, not to stop at superficial level but seek to know the hidden causes behind things. Spirituality is key.
Aspiring for Supramental consciousness is neither idle hedonism nor escapism. Aspiration is the basic foundation of Integral yoga and is a positive feature. Voluntary optimism and effort are necessary to want something of which nothing is available at present; hope against hope.
The Mother & Sri Aurobindo advise silence and hence most of their devotees lead their lives without displaying who they adore. Sincerity and humility is practiced without any expectation. No other religion demands such level of self-abnegation. Integral yoga looks easy but is not
The way the Sri Aurobindo Ashram took birth and grew is an extraordinary and unprecedented experiment in inclusion and exemplary administration. An absolutely new paradigm was created for collective aspiration and living. Social scientists should compare democratic model with it.
Yoga entails a continuous fight against anti-evolutionary forces like ignorance, obscurity, and suffering. Personal effort is fruitless before such formidable adversaries unless coupled with surrender to the divine. Aspiration and rejection are two other weapons of Integral yoga.
In The Mother & Sri Aurobindo we find much deeper human concerns than mere poverty, deprivation, or social exclusion. Socio-political problems aren't overlooked but the solutions shown are of different nature. Fraternity or the inner bondage among human beings needs to be invoked
The Mother & Sri Aurobindo are an invitation to rise above national identities. They exhort to exhibit the spirit of universality and oneness for establishing global harmony. Technology is facilitating such an environment but too much of protectionism in business mars the show.
While realising how crucial is the role of aesthetics in Integral yoga is important, a fair degree of detachment is also necessary. Arts have the power to lull but the task in yoga is to excel and offer to the divine. Thus vigilance against egoistic enjoyment or immersion is needed.
