Savitri Era: The central issue is following The Mother & Sri Aurobindo savitriera.blogspot.com/2023/02/the-ce Tweets in original by Tusar Nath Mohapatra (b. 1956), Director, Savitri Era Learning Forum (2005), Founder, Savitri Era Religion (2006), and President, Savitri Era Party (2007). #Feb21
The advantage of Savitri Era Party is that it's not tied to intellectual formulations but is wedded to Sri Aurobindo's vision which is not in conflict with Enlightenment or Constitutional values. Scholars supporting other parties suffer from intellectual dishonesty and parroting.
Following The Mother & Sri Aurobindo is an intellectual, ethical, aesthetic, devotional, religious, and political work, simultaneously. The philanthropic dimension is discouraged but the pedagogical aspect has huge potential. Scope for spiritual progress, however, is subjective.
If the Parliament has no other voice than that of the govt or the Prime Minister, then it's a failure of democracy. But considering the state of the media which is supposed to be a free domain, the theory of self-interest gets reinforced. Ideology then is consigned to text-books.
Dharma adherents are blissfully under the spell of mythology and rituals and bear no obligation under any demand of yoga. Such complacence also justifies hubris, hatred, and hedonism. Sri Aurobindo termed it as a primitive social instinct which needs to evolve into enlightened will.
If the Uttarpara speech were enough to understand the philosophy of Sri Aurobindo then he wouldn't have taken the trouble of writing the books like The Life Divine or The Synthesis of Yoga. Dharma adherents are clever to offer lip service but are never interested in reading them.
Between 1914 and 1921, Sri Aurobindo wrote several books on religion and philosophy in the Arya magazine but he conceived The Life Divine in a different way where he was weaving an entirely new ontology surpassing both Western and Indian tradition and contemporaries from science.
Dharma adherents have no hesitation in buying new models of mobile phones but when it comes to philosophy, the tradition is considered as pure gold. Sri Aurobindo has boldly shattered this opposition by religions by establishing The Life Divine as a universal and futuristic path.
Let it be known that almost all direct disciples talked about synthesis, inclusion, and the integral approach that was normal to the modernist environment of the 20th century. But responding to postmodernist sentiments, I have been pitching for an exclusionary marquee since 2005.
Sri Aurobindo has given the Vedic interpretation of castes but that doesn't alter the ground situation as long as the mythological basis of religion lasts. No amount of social justice can help. Savitri Era Religion saves from such social ills perpetrated by customs and tradition.
Embracing Savitri Era Religion is the best solution for the victims of the caste system and such other superstitions. Govt. recognition for our new religion can go a long way in ameliorating the plight of various sections of the society by providing a valid option. #SriAurobindo
Predictions of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo range from the social and political to the consciousness and spiritual realm. Nothing has materialised and therefore it's needed to be extremely cautious not to spread falsehood. It's a new religion and believing in their words is our job.
The Mother & Sri Aurobindo encouraged people from different countries to be their disciples and followers thus sowing the seeds of a new religion. Justice O. Chinnappa Reddy has clearly articulated the validity of a new religion in the Auroville case (1982). Govt should recognise.
A section among the followers of Sri Aurobindo tries hard to retain its affiliation to the Hindu religion while another prefers the Spiritual but not religious way. I launched the Savitri Era Religion in 2006 to end this confusion and ambivalence. They are the one Supreme Divine.
Apart from reading Sri Aurobindo, knowing the history of the Ashram and various conflicts that it has weathered is also important. The controversy surrounding the book fifteen years back proved that truthful accounts of events are difficult to gather. All part of new religion now.
As per Sri Aurobindian ontology, the sublime aspect of the emotions is the psychic. This is the biggest paradox. The same emotions which are responsible for pulling down our consciousness need to be modulated suitably so that they become instruments of evolution or transformation.
Manabasa or Lakshmi puja in Odisha emphasises upon cleanliness, regularity, and order. When The Mother too insists upon such qualities, she is not simply reiterating the Puritan ethics but drawing from the Vedic essence of things as elaborated in The Mother book by Sri Aurobindo.
As Director of Savitri Era Learning Forum (SELF) I have been posting useful links and extracts since 2005 at fifteen different sites catering to diverse interests as well as deficiencies. Some special interest handles are and
In the last century, the Congress lies proliferated and in this century, the RSS falsehood and doublespeak is ruling the roost. Careerists have always benefited and now they are plenty. Savitri Era Party stands for the right views and impartial judgments which are in short supply.
Today is The Mother's birthday. Arguably, the most important day for Savitri Era Religion. Sri Aurobindo's birthday on August 15 gets diffused due to Independence Day. But today, it's focussed. Also marks a change of season in the North. No more woollens, sort of a New Year's Day

Her mother was from Egypt and father from Turkey. She was born as a Jew in France. Spent over half a century in Puducherry asking people to discover spirituality within. No evidence of that but there is hope. Today is her birthday. Gratitude #TheMother #MirraAlfassa #SriAurobindo
From the debates and discussions among Dharma adherents it can be easily discerned that the cause of their confusion is the lack of reading Sri Aurobindo's philosophy. Unfortunately, such men are occupying leadership positions everywhere resulting in faulty policy and implementation.

Orientation in Sri Aurobindo's philosophy is exactly like Management capsule courses and should be imparted on priority basis. Genuine scholars on Sri Aurobindo should be drafted instead of promoting careerists and all-rounders. The Life Divine should be declared as National book.
Sri Aurobindo's political tussle within the Congress was symbolic of the metaphysical divergence he ushered in later in his life along with The Mother. Their suspicion of received knowledge, metanarratives, and mythological theology inspired countless intellectuals and leaders.
Anyone can become a devotee of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo. There's no formality or ritual involved but one cannot build a past. Those of us who have been under the umbrella of their grace for over half a century and are acquainted with their writings have advantage over newcomers.
Those who have seen The Mother or became her devotees when she was present are surely a privileged lot although their number is dwindling day by day. Their memory of the centenary celebration of Sri Aurobindo and how energetically The Mother was involved in organising it is fresh.
Most tweets where Sri Aurobindo is mentioned are misrepresentations. Adding his name to three four others is a common misleading practice. It's strange why people choose to remain deluded instead of acquiring the right knowledge. Govt function on him with Netaji is ill-conceived.
Different schools of philosophy and religion failed to unravel the mystery of the life and the world. Science too expressed its inability to solve the same. In this scenario, Sri Aurobindo is the only source which can be relied upon. Reading him provides all the justifications.
#1950s:: Two things decided the level of joy and celebration when a child was born: boy or girl and complexion. Half-a-dozen children was the average; the eldest one would marry around the youngest was born. Children of relatives staying together for different reasons was common.
The Mother & Sri Aurobindo were not in favour of conventional behaviour. Ordinary social relations weren't of much use for them. Deviating from the beaten track therefore is a perpetual challenge for their followers. As in Gita, anapekṣhaḥ śhuchir dakṣha udāsīno gata-vyathaḥ.
The last two chapters of The Life Divine deal with social & political thought which were written by Sri Aurobindo a decade before his passing away. The ideals delineated are far away from our present conditions but not stranger to democratic aspirations and Enlightenment values.
Political issues can't be resolved by politics. That's the first lesson Sri Aurobindo teaches. Human propensity for reforms has some potential but creates more complications. #SriAurobindo didn't prescribe straight forward solutions but advised relying upon the intuitive faculty.
Sri Aurobindo examines English poetry from the historical perspective but never subjects Western philosophy to a similar treatment. That tells the worth he attaches to the latter. Additionally, the epochal value of The Life Divine for ontology can be gauged from this circumstance.
People's fascination with the old and the ancient is a reflection of inertia and insecurity. Sri Aurobindo has produced a new philosophy. Accepting it and believing in it is the demand of the evolution. Unless this corrective is internalised, we can't come out of the present mess.
The West has a large number of philosophers but India has only one in the modern age. He is Sri Aurobindo. His philosophy expounded in The Life Divine is unique and unprecedented. Many try to link it with old schools of Indian philosophy but the commonalities are just ephemeral.
