Many people are in the habit of posting quotations from different authors. They are educative and inspiring no doubt but why not read the books of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo so that one gets all such wisdom from one authentic source? The tendency of surveying takes a lot of time.
Many books have been written on Gandhi and Ambedkar has been discussed to a great extent. But a complete analysis of modern Indian thought hasn't found expression as Sri Aurobindo's writings are left out. It's necessary as background material in the run-up to the 2024 elections.
India-centric view of Sri Aurobindo is the school-stage. For college-level study critical analysis is necessary. Evolution involves the whole world as adventure of consciousness is universal. Colonialism helped East-West integration to a large extent. Such opportunities will grow.

The basic principle behind civil society is to keep people free from the worries of governance or security but, sadly, democracy in India is, increasingly, being utilised for entangling the lives and thoughts of people with the ideological strands of different political parties.
All political parties are misguiding people by feeding them dubious narratives. This has been going on continuously and systematically. Paid anchors and columnists are everywhere. I have been appealing to follow The Mother & Sri Aurobindo for sound worldview and ethical conduct.

The accused anchors owe an explanation to the public as to how much intellectual dishonesty they practice. Hoodwinking viewers is no different from day-light robbery. Those benefitting from such jugglery should also apologise to the public. Good opportunity for cleansing polity.

Tell me what are the facts. On the one hand Sri Aurobindo is preaching Doctrine of passive resistance and on the other, he is encouraging his brother to play with bombs. It's difficult to explain away such ambivalence. Everything is documented and the inferences are quite clear.
He seems to have read something on Sri Aurobindo and has his own opinion. I don't find any reason to disagree with it because I have been fed hagiographic views about Sri Aurobindo since childhood. He is telling the king is naked. So no need to be worked up over personal opinion.
I don't think you can claim with certainty that he didn't denounce his "revolutionary" activities. It's not that clear. He was acquitted in the Alipore case on the basis of his being aloof. Theoretically he never supported violence. There would be other references too. So caution!
Sri Aurobindo is entirely different from all other gurus and great men. He wrote The Secret of the Veda which is his unique discovery. He also wrote The Life Divine which is the greatest book on earth. No wonder The Mother & Sri Aurobindo are worshipped as the one Supreme Divine.
We are all inhaling narratives along with the air and hence it is necessary to be cautious and alert all the time. Keeping a photograph of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo in the room can change the atmosphere. Their books also have the same effect. They force you to think differently.
The 14 anchors episode has exposed the ulcers our democracy is suffering from despite all scientific and technological advances. It is just the tip of the iceberg. Savitri Era Patty can change the whole atmosphere with its principled stand derived from The Mother & Sri Aurobindo.
Hindutva followers, understandably, are finding it difficult to worship The Mother & Sri Aurobindo as the one Supreme Divine. They should explain their position in this respect so that others are not subjected to confusion and hypocrisy. They should also stop political canvassing.
After Independence the education system has been used to spread myriad falsehoods like the father of the nation. The present govt also is pushing the Hindutva agenda aggressively. Savarkar is being promoted to replace Gandhi. Savitri Era Party requests people to oppose distortion.
Savitri Era Party is opposed to both NDA and INDIA factions. All independent-minded citizens should come forward to support me in spreading the message of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo. Assiduously built, the Gandhi myth, the Tagore myth, and the Vivekananda myth needs to be busted.
A lot of exaggeration has been propagated over the years by neglecting more authentic themes like Sri Aurobindo.
Keeping Sri Aurobindo out of intellectual discourse continues which needs to be corrected.

Comparing TV debates with Parliamentary proceedings, or the lack of it, can fetch some perspective. Whether the style and substance has declined over the years? Since both estates are related to democracy and elections which are quite vibrant the decay is its natural consequence.
The Mother & Sri Aurobindo are the one Supreme Divine and are presiding over the fate of whole humanity. They have shown ample optimism for human unity but how national and cultural barriers will give way is not yet clear. Understanding evolution of consciousness can facilitate.
Doordarshan took birth on September 15, 1959 and since then India has seen phenomenal progress in all fields. But the demand for understanding the philosophy of Sri Aurobindo has not grown. He is facing boycott from almost all quarters. Let's hope, such indifference ends, soon!
The 14 anchors episode is symptomatic of the rot our intellectual life has developed. Lack of any ethical anchor is the reason. Lack of the philosophical awareness of purpose of life is also a factor. Paradoxically, a Hindu scenario is on the upswing. So strong correctives needed
Highly educated professionals are responsible for creating a situation like boycott of 14 anchors. The style of functioning of the Prime Minister is also a prime reason. Democracy is fragile and deriving more benefits from it than it can sustain will break it. Beware of anarchy!
I was against the Congress rule and had high hopes from Janata movement. But it degenerated into vote-bank politics. Hindutva philosophy never attracted me as I detest the obscurantism and anti-intellectualism of RSS. Kejriwal and Modi captured power through deceit and theatrics.
Congress conspired to keep Sri Aurobindo out of education and national recognition as a result of which Hindutva grew. Even today they are suspicious of his philosophy and foolishly supporting the DMK brand of rationalism. The direction of evolutionary inevitability is otherwise!
The Mother arrived in Puducherry to meet Sri Aurobindo on March 29, 1914 and the course of Sri Aurobindo's life took a different turn. A new narrative took birth which continues to show light to the humanity. I feel so fortunate to be in service of disseminating this new truth.
Savitri Era Party is non-aligned and the 14 anchors episode has proved how ideological purity is sacrosanct. The Mother & Sri Aurobindo symbolise human unity and world peace and hence it's necessary to steer clear of any narrow parochial mentality. We are the only such option now.
I don't see any sign of anyone being supportive of my ideological line and so the sense of responsibility multiplies. I created the Savitri Era Learning Forum (SELF) banner in 2005 and, by the grace of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo, no one has been able to refute its justification.
As observed by Justice O. Chinnappa Reddy in the Auroville case, religions are created by devotees and not by the gods. Accordingly, I took the initiative to create the Savitri Era Religion in 2006 so that the constant accusation of Integral yoga turning a cult or religion stops.
I created Savitri Era Party in 2007, the Centenary year of Sri Aurobindo leading the Congress split in Surat. We are still against the Congress and against Hindutva too. No progress has been possible on ground but devotees are everywhere who can contest elections, independently.
Descent of the Supramental consciousness was theorised in The Life Divine but Sri Aurobindo's own seclusion and sadhana was not known. The Mother too carried on the work to a partial success in 1956. For devotees, the situation today is one of aspiration, prayer, and anticipation.
The rise of Hindutva in the political sphere has provided a good opportunity for the philosophy of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo to be seen as a contrast and a corrective. The practical utility of such a great proportion hasn't been realised by the educated Indians or the opposition.
The attack on Sanatan Dharma and the 14 anchors episode have thrown open a lot of discussion and debate. Till now selected quotations from Sri Aurobindo have done the job. But henceforth a more rigorous analysis of his critiques of religions might happen. Thus it has huge potential.
