No one assured me that the country I was born in will be a highly developed one. So, no frustration on that count. No one gave any firm indication that human misery will vanish. So, no disappointment on that score, either. That leaves only The Mother & Sri Aurobindo to rely upon.

The Mother is inseparable from Sri Aurobindo but some scholars tend to ignore her. Descent of Supramental consciousness can't take place without her grace and sanction. Sri Aurobindo has written about her significance extensively and hence there shouldn't be doubt on this score.

It gives the impression that Dayananda came after Vivekananda. Overlooking all that happened before the latter is also a blind spot.

Ideally, the review should start with Chaitanya.

Some are of the opinion that the future of the earth is dark but Sri Aurobindo strongly believes that human society is moving towards a brighter destiny. His appeal for the cooperation of all for descent of Supramental consciousness. No need for old customs in this grand journey.

From the psychoanalytical perspective, Nitish Kumar said about himself more than what he said by way of advising others. Discussion on sex thoughts in old age is a rarity and should equally draw attention as his reported comments. No one should be prevented to speak his mind.

Vivekananda tried to raise a new religion around Ramakrishna and Nehru attempted the same around Gandhi. Both failed but count as important milestone in reforming Indian society. Savitri Era Religion with The Mother & Sri Aurobindo as inspiration is the real option for the future

Being from the RKM background, many Hindutva intellectuals hold high regard for Vivekananda. But over the last five years, the message has spread gradually that Sri Aurobindo is a far more original and authentic thinker. This will grow as more and more people will read his books.

I have been writing on The Mother & Sri Aurobindo since 2005 and here on X from 2012. I have been trying to bring clarity and transparency to their complex legacy since it's difficult for any newcommer. But unfortunately, people don't read my posts and prefer their own ignorance.

Savitri Era Religion is the best means for leading a modern life. No mythology, no rituals, and no traditional customs. Aspiration for Supramental consciousness and surrender to The Mother & Sri Aurobindo are the only basic requirements for being part of this worldwide community.

The Mother & Sri Aurobindo have gifted me the intellectual freedom from imaginary mythology and vain rituals. They have avoided empty promises or lofty miracles. They simply extend the scientific theory of evolution to show how the descent of Supramental consciousness is certain.

The philosophy of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo is meant for the whole humanity. No specific institution or location has ownership over it. Anyone living anywhere in the world can turn to them and read their books without having to depend upon someone else. It's direct relationship.

Modernity, in fact, entered with the Europeans and Nehru, no doubt, nurtured it with all his might. He, however, had no means of delivering people from the clutches of religious obscurantism the effect of which we witness today. That task had been ably performed by Sri Aurobindo.

On the one hand Nehru ignored Gandhi's illogical views and on the other he spurned Hindu pressure. In economic field too he resisted attraction of capitalism on one side and socialism and communism on the other. Disregarding America and Russia he created the Non-aligned movement.

Not lost exactly but suffers from the lack of deserved evaluation and dissemination. Thanks for this little help for spreading his name which is so essential for furthering the ideals Nehru represented. It's absolutely necessary to understand how the combination works for India and the world

The penetration of modernity into Indian society was not complete. But the support of the educated people for Hindutva has turned the clock back. Proper maintenance of the foundations laid by Nehru can only be possible by following the principles of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo.

Visiting their bookshop, instead, would have been more enlightening and humbling. Mapping exercise and the right direction in life, therefore, is so important! Many people return back from Auroville thinking, mistakenly, that it's the Sri Aurobindo Ashram.

Yes, brick and mortar have their limitations everywhere. The Mother and Sri Aurobindo, therefore, have left behind seventy volumes of their writings to be accessed online, free.

Most people think that most of the things change except religions. Nobody is courageous enough to foresee a world bereft of the present religions. Only The Mother & Sri Aurobindo did and Savitri Era Religion is going to replace the religions of today. That will be the end of war.

Sri Aurobindo started publishing his prominent books in 1914 and they were mostly unknown for a century but with the advent of Internet, it's intriguing why they remain so after 2014. Intellectual lethargy and political antipathy is understandable but institutional failure, not.

You have been highlighting this for a while now but to no avail. The legacy of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo is complex and, hence, anyone can mould it according to her sweet will. My take, however, is slightly different. Legal recognition as a minority religion will provide safety.

Congress cannot inculcate the visceral hatred in its workers which is the hallmark of BJP karyakartas. That ideological recipe has hundreds of ingredients or a million mutinies.

Please get rid of such misconceptions and make an informed assessment of The Mother & Sri-Aurobindo. This life is a wonderful opportunity for discovering their genius. Thanks. What I'm requesting is to have a fresh look regardless of your past experiences and impressions. This can be a good area of research. Any thesis has to be discursively established instead of the hit and run approach. So you have to analyse what exactly led you to believe this way

You are entitled to your political beliefs and counter-narratives but roping in great men with very different ideologies as mere tropes or slogans won't earn you credibility. Further, transposing what's local as the national, or even civilisational, is intellectually dishonest.

Each person had his own distinctive philosophy and ideology and hence conflating them is erroneous.

Someone should take responsibility for keeping content outside free public access all these years. Two decades is a long time and it should have grown as a major voice for dissemination of Sri Aurobindo's philosophy. Now the things are mired in controversy. Lost opportunity alas!

Let there be no doubt as to what Sri Aurobindo achieved in his life. His Vadodara and Kolkata periods were preparatory. Life in Puduchrry till 1926 was consolidation. 1926 to 1950, when descent of Supramental consciousness was his focus, is the real Sri Aurobindo we worship today

A member of Sri Aurobindo Ashram, Puducherry, using intemperate language to a devotee on a public platform should attract appropriate disciplinary action. Employees and teachers should be trained adequately as to how to behave with the public on matters relating to Sri Aurobindo.

As devotees of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo, we don't worship other gods or gurus. Those flouting are admirers and not devotees. The Mother & Sri Aurobindo haven't prescribed any particular method or ritual. Succumbing to contrary social pressure is at the risk of one's own peril.

The political ideal of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo is patently at variance with your own personal preference and the onus of realising this is solely upon you. How it affects the public image of the Ashram is far more disquieting, to say the least.

Sri Aurobindo had punctured the intellectual legitimacy of Hindutva even before it was born. He had also pointed out shortcomings of Congress. So beware of all those who are expressing deceptive tributes to him today without subscribing to an iota of his ideological formulations.

The direct disciples lived in a different age. The Nehruvian vision was in operation and they employed all their creativity in portraying The Mother & Sri Aurobindo in as liberal a way as possible. Hindutva is a global menace now and Savitri Era Party offers the right concoction.

Thanks to the great foresight of Justice O. Chinnappa Reddy, ably articulated in the dissenting judgement in the Auroville case that we in the Savitri Era Religion feel safe. Otherwise, the majoritarian ethos would like to annihilate us one day. Savitri Era Party too is relevant.

The Mother was responsible for erecting a distinct identity for Sri Aurobindo's philosophy which managed to draw hundreds of followers and creation of Ashram. Immense sacrifices were involved for nurturing this speciality which a few are willing to sell for a few pieces of silver. 

Let's be honest. BJP rode to power on the Mandir wave. Modi capured power by piggybacking on Kejriwal. A similar advantage may be difficult to come by. Now almost all States are run by satraps. The scenario is entirely different now. The concept of a national party is over.

A section is of the opinion that the ruling party is acting undemocratically but I don't remember any party or govt acting democratically during the last sixty years. Hypocrisy has been widespread all along and hunger for power and money have reigned which will have consequences!

Like all religions, Savitri Era Religion has many ways as to how to approach The Mother & Sri Aurobindo. Savitri and The Synthesis of Yoga are ideal for immersion while The Life Divine and The Human Cycle are good for contemplation. The Mother and The Letters are for meditation.

I have been active in social media since 2005 and maintaining two dozen blog sites, apart from X, has enabled me to be in the business of thinking. Besides, looking at current affairs from the point of view of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo's philosophy has been a constant challenge.

Most of the devotees of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo don't look beyond their personal sadhana and welfare. I as the President of Savitri Era Party, on the contrary, am concerned with the sociological aspects of our collective existence like Govt recognition for Savitri Era Religion

I have been opposing all political parties and hence my posts don't reach many. However, I have the satisfaction of taking an ethical and impartial stand on various issues. Reservation, for instance, may be good but it renders the Constitution as unjust against the other sections

In addition to air pollution or noise pollution, it's necessary to be aware of intellectual pollution. Most educated people haven't read anything by Sri Aurobindo as a result of which suffer from warped thinking and skewed logic. Some even write books the blind leading the blind!

There's no shortcut for knowing Sri Aurobindo or understanding his writings. The writings of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo and some of their direct disciples constitute one hundred books. The education system, unfortunately, is indifferent to the immense value of this knowledge hub.

Savitri Era Learning Forum, Ghaziabad has been trying to introduce people to new knowledge since 2005. Apart from the works of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo awareness of Western philosophy and futurology has been the focus. Right view on historical narratives too is a preferred area

Reading the books of Sri Aurobindo in original is necessary for assimilating the right knowledge. Mentioning his name on the basis of sketchy impressions or clubbing his name along with other great men should be avoided. The works of The Mother is an altogether different subject.

Wrong persons have been imposed upon the people as icons as a result of which educational ideals have become topsy-turvy. Neglect of Sri Aurobindo continues as no one in policy-making area is interested in his philosophy or prophecy. Self-effort needed to read and understand him.

Most people are curious about politics and hence the historical significance of Sri Aurobindo interests them. Some others are enthusiastic about the history of ideas who try to lacate Sri Aurobindo's contributions to it. Both have their own validity but real import is elsewhere.

Sri Aurobindo Ashram enforces discipline and silence which makes the devotees passive and aloof. I tried to introduce themes like politics and religion and many people have benefited from this discourse. The hegemony of Hindutva, however, is a roadblock and has to be surmounted.

Some Hindutva handles are consistent in quoting a few sentences where The Mother & Sri Aurobindo have mentioned some Hindu gods or goddesses. They are not willing to read anything else from their writings since they claim to have already received significant spiritual experiences

Savitri Era Party has no presence on the ground but it possesses immense intellectual legitimacy in comparison to the ruling party or the opposition. We pray to The Mother & Sri Aurobindo for hastening the force of evolution so that the country chooses the right ideology in 2024.

We know about the ongoing evolution from The Mother & Sri Aurobindo and are asked to aspire for the Supramental consciousness. Instead of looking at the course of events as mechanical, we perceive it as unfolding of the divine plan. It's wrong to treat the current phase as ideal.

Traditional religious morality on the one hand, and the current politically correct positions on the other, have imposed certain uniform pop-psychology on women and their choices. Assuming a fixed template of female mentality in all circumstances, and at their all ages, is absurd

Savitri Era Religion worships The Mother & Sri Aurobindo as the one Supreme Divine and doesn't harbour any mythology or historical antecedents. No one can be compared to them or be associated with their divine status. They are ever-present and shouldn't be seen as avatar or guru.

It has taken sixty years for me to be what I am today. The Mother passed away in 1973 and the direct disciples, one by one, thereafter. Today, no one is there to look up to. I founded Savitri Era Religion in 2006 for the safety of the devotees, so that they don't face harassment.

Savitri Era Religion is separate from those who consider The Mother & Sri Aurobindo as part of Hindu religion. Savitri Era Religion traces its justification to the dissenting judgement of Justice O. Chinnappa Reddy in the Auroville case. This minority religion seeks legal rights.

Birth and growth of a new religion is a long-drawn process. It germinated when The Mother & Sri Aurobindo met on March 29, 1914, in Puduchrry, to which I gave the name Savitri Era Religion in 2006. It's likely to replace all other religions as per the prediction of #SriAurobindo.

No biography of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo presents them conclusively as the one Supreme Divine. Their devotees are mostly silent and Hindutva agents are out aggressively to appropriate them. In the event it's necessary for Savitri Era Religion and Savitri Era Party to be strong.

It's not easy for anyone to read the books of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo to understand them. They have been reticent about their own divinity and it has to be imbibed from the writings of their direct disciples. Savitri Era Religion helps in following them for seeking their grace

The logic of Enlightenment assures that people will be led in the rational route. The cycles of civilisation will by and large follow the same track, theorises Sri Aurobindo. But the trajectory is spiral and involves phases of irrationality. Hindutva is such a phase and we wait.

Leftists reaped rich dividends from their ecosystem in the last century and the same model is being followed by the Hindutva ecosystem at present. Scholarship on Sri Aurobindo has progressed at a slow pace without such incentives or inducements. But thankfully, honesty is intact.

Science and technology is the driving force of the modern civilisation but Sri Aurobindo reminds of the power of the Humanities. His version, interestingly, differs from the Marxist variety prevalent in the Universities. In fact, his psychological explorations surpasses science.

Indians should discover the philosophical and spiritual significance of Sri Aurobindo instead of constantly wrestling with his historical role. One can spend one's life by simply reading his poetry or literary criticism. Deciphering his Vedic interpretation is equally engrossing.

The magnitude of contempt, disdain, and derision that the Hindutva camp suffered in the hands of the Congress and the Left was much more than even what the Britishers would award. From the point of view of Sri Aurobindo, however, the opposition to Hindutva is more philosophical.

One may or may not believe in the divinity of Sri Aurobindo but reading a book like The Life Divine forces one to realise about the superhuman ability of its author. One may or may not understand the book but simply reading it amounts to collaboration with the Earth's aspiration.

People are unable to know the difference between the philosophy of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo and the traditional Indian philosophy on the one hand and Hindutva on the other. The Mother & Sri Aurobindo are the one Supreme Divine who are always present and carry evolution forward.

Savitri Era Religion is universal and has no particular affection for any nation or civilisation. It provides a wonderful opportunity for lifelong education and aspiration without any atavistic pride or bigotry. All life is yoga which means surrender to The Mother & Sri Aurobindo

The Mother & Sri Aurobindo had witnessed two World Wars and were acutely aware of the futility of the current civilisation. They were sure that the descent of the Supramental consciousness is the answer. So, it's for the people to believe in their words, instead of the past gods.

There's a difference between watching a video explicating the philosophy of #SriAurobindo and reading one of his books. Technology facilitates video and it's good for instant assimilation of information. But a book contains Sri Aurobindo's own chosen words including his revisions

No amount of triumphalism can make right what is wrong. No amount of crowd can impart legitimacy to an act of foolishness. No amount of bravado can save a crumbling castle. Sri Aurobindo stated his assertions with sufficient clarity. Listening to him can save from further errors.

There are about a dozen drafts of The Life Divine before it started getting published in August 1914. Sri Aurobindo was aware of different views on evolution prevalent in Europe. But his attempt was to base his theory on the Veda. Cosmic Tradition by Max Théon also played a part.

There is a tendency to believe that some aspects of our society and economy are built by the god and the rest are man-made. The Integral approach, however, wouldn't brook such a dichotomy. Any attempt towards piecemeal solutions and reforms, therefore, is bound to be a failure.

Scholarly speculations and political exaggerations promise a better world but without any concrete basis. The Mother & Sri Aurobindo explained that it's only by rising to a higher level of consciousness, or descent of the Supramental, that the problems of the world can be solved.

Like Sarna, Savitri Era Religion also demands legal recognition as a separate religion so that Auroville can be handed over to it. Govt has no business in managing it since Matrimandir belongs exclusively to the devotees of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo who don't worship other gods.

In view of the prevailing scarcity of intellectual and ethical leadership in the country, Savitri Era Party invites all good people to either join it or work for it for creating a viable and credible political alternative driven by the future vision of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo.

Savitri Era Party has been showing the demerits of Hindutva as well as the Congress since 2007. It's of the firm opinion that only the philosophy of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo is the solution. It's against discrimination or preferential treatment on the basis of caste or religion.

Many people in our country are thoroughly dissatisfied with existing political parties but go to vote for them in the absence of alternative. Intellectuals must come together under ideological umbrella of Savitri Era Party to create awareness without hoping for electoral victory.

Some people are fond of speaking against Raja Ram Mohan Roy and Jawaharlal Nehru without whom thinking of modern India is impossible. Savitri Era Party encourages sound historical perspective even though Leftist historians have done enormous harm to the legacy of Sri Aurobindo.

From Lenin and Hitler, the world has seen enormous amount of changes during the last one hundred years. Human nature however hasn't transformed much. The spirit of love and harmony isn't easy to be found. All admirers, followers, and devotees of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo unite!

Modern Western thought is greatly indebted to Nietzsche (1844-1900) and Sri Aurobindo (1872-1950) occupies almost an equivalent position in India. Nietzsche rakes up philosophical and psychological problems while #SriAurobindo solves them in The Life Divine and The Future Poetry.

Political power coupled with religious fervour is spreading false narratives. Universities and the Publishing industry are propagating false philosophies. Savitri Era Learning Forum is the only place where one can find right perspective wrt Sri Aurobindo.

Religions impose lots of socialisation and collective activity. They also feed a lot of intellectual garbage. Reading the books of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo can liberate one from mythology and superstitions. The Mother passed away fifty years ago in 1973. Knowing her is crucial.

If Savitri Era Religion receives govt. recognition today, then ninety percent of the present followers of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo will leave the scene, since most devotees are fake. The Ashram will stop receiving donations from all sections and its survival could be at stake.

Savitri Era narrative isn't widely known but possesses far more credibility than Hindutva, Congress, Marxist, or Dalit versions. Savitri Era Learning Forum has clocked 11692 hits this month which gives hope that really inquiring minds will surely benefit.

Sri Aurobindo had punctured the intellectual legitimacy of Hindutva even before it was born. He had also pointed out shortcomings of Congress. So beware of all those who are expressing deceptive tributes to him today without subscribing to an iota of his ideological formulations.

Some are under the illusion that The Mother came to India to tell the people to visit the temples. Nothing is more absurd than this. Sri Aurobindo has categorically mentioned that he didn't come to repeat the past. He wrote volume after volume to state this. Then why impose lies?

I have been campaigning against Hindutva but their activists simply ignore me as they are aware that Sri Aurobindo is not their strong point. Peddling some intellectual hotchpotch for securing votes is their motive; not astute academic learning. So it's futile to argue with them.

It's good to have a reasonable orientation in Western philosophy but spending time in comparing the spiritual practices recommended by The Mother & Sri Aurobindo with those of others is useless. Integral yoga is something unique and its modalities are lifeless without The Mother.

"The Left’s identitarianism seems even more imprisoning, and deeply anti-political," castigates Mehta but he fails to provide any alternative. It's true that the path of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo doesn't offer any concrete issue but a firm assurance of a solution resides there.

Each moment in our lives is critical from the evolutionary point of view in the sense that the possibility of culmination of the divine plan in the form of ascending to a higher consciousness is lurking to take place at any time, as prophecied by Sri Aurobindo in The Life Divine.

Hindutva is all about racial superiority and social asymmetry whereas modern political theory preaches liberty, equality, and justice. Reconciling these two extremes is impossible unless The Mother & Sri Aurobindo are accepted as the reigning ideology. Sine qua non for harmony.

Sri Aurobindo theorised about the descent of the Supramental consciousness as part of evolutionary unfolding. This is his most original contribution to philosophy which the Universities continue to ignore. The political dimensions are significant and hence neglecting it hurts.

Believing in The Mother & Sri Aurobindo as the one Supreme Divine helps to be freed from premodern ideologies and social stipulations. The direct disciples have shown the way and the new generation should take it forward. The philosophy and poetry of Sri Aurobindo has no parallel.

Westerners are prisoners of the Western philosophy. Hindutva adherents, similarly, are bonded to mythology and rituals. Devotees of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo on the other hand enjoy the best philosophy and modern social attitude. Savitri Era Religion is most suitable for future.

Many people are in the habit of exhibiting that they are experts on Sri Aurobindo by repeatedly quoting just one line from an early speech of Sri Aurobindo. They have not read anything else. Conference-wallahs don't find any future after his 150th birth anniversary celebrations.

Considering the size of population in our country, awareness about The Mother & Sri Aurobindo is negligible. That should be the first priority. Dissemination of their political relevance is the next stage. Attraction for their philosophy should follow. Spirituality is the last.

Sri Aurobindo is not limited to his books. He wrote a few essays before his death in 1950 and one can take them as the starting point to know him. His correspondence with Dilip Kumar Roy at this point is also important. Not to mention Savitri which he is dictating to Nirodbaran.

Neither the Ashram nor Auroville portray the right picture of Sri Aurobindo's philosophy. Message of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo is universal and applicable anywhere. It's not about an ethical life alone but also excellence and innovation. Grappling with politics and commerce too.

The Mother & Sri Aurobindo form an anchor in life if one is conversant with their teachings. So, too much of eagerness for spiritual realisation may not be the right approach. That leads to early frustration. Proper study is essential for right orientation and a universal ethos.

By incorporating the castes in the Constitution, the document was pushed backwards by one thousand years. If that truly reflects the social reality, then it may be good. But, what's the way out? Following The Mother & Sri Aurobindo is the only way for a clean break with the past.

Greeting a person should be limited to expressing or exhibiting respect without uttering any religious or political slogan as these slogans are weaponised in course of time. Incorporating modern behaviour instead of repeating defective cultural motifs should be practiced by all.

Conceiving Democracy as a potent antidote of Monarchy seems ethically soothing but what are the evolutionary implications? Considering the Indian situation where democracy is unable to come out of the apron strings of dynasty and authoritarianism, the churning is to continue.

If the whole of India comes to be ruled by one party and the Chief Ministers are nominated like the recent examples, then the kind of democracy will be a disaster. Savitri Era Party demands Sovereignty to the States so that local level decision making receives full efflorescence.

Unlike others only the followers of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo know that changes come about through evolution. The desired results don't happen in a miraculous way but take the arduous path of negotiating through processes of ignorance. So there is hope and we need to be patient.

Everyday various business houses are spending crores of rupees in advertisements for promoting their brands. Different political parties are doing the same for mobilising supporters. Dominant religions also follow the same path for securing their turf and winning more adherents.

Money and organisation is essential for making people realise that a much better path is there than the present political options. Willingness of people for working for this cause should be spontaneous and voluntary. Admirers of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo need to be more active.

In view of the fact that Hindutva has been successful in marginalising the castes politics, the majority having its own way in a democracy should have looked normal, especially when it has been denied this preeminence for nearly a century. But Sri Aurobindo doesn't agree with it.

All political parties are undergoing churning as regards ideology. Quest for a successful electoral formula is on without questioning the leadership. The Mother & Sri Aurobindo have handed down a philosophy that is disruptive. Evolutionary push towards ethics and fairness to act.

No book on the relevance of Sri Aurobindo vis-à-vis Hindutva and therefore gargantuan confusion prevails in the minds of most. Many people feel inspired by Phule, Periyar, or Ambedkar as their ideologies have been publicised widely. The same is needed in respect of Sri Aurobindo. I was thinking of a more topical and polemical one so that the contrast with the ruling ideology comes out clearly.

Reading about the rival opinions on temple construction reminds of the Matrimandir at Auroville and how The Mother thought aeons ahead of others. Knowing about why the Mother worship should take precedence over the puranic or patriarchal forms from Sri Aurobindo is also relevant.

Elections are integral to democracy but Govt development plans and welfare schemes tend to be pushed to the pre-election year for deriving maximum electoral mileage. Such manipulation derails smooth and timely execution of projects affecting numerous stakeholders or beneficiaries. 

Negotiating multiple elections in over thirty States with a muilti-party environment is a superhuman task. There's no example of any god ever having performed such a feat. Thus, the Prime Minister of India indeed exceeds the achievement of any god, past or present. So, a new god!

Ensuring soundness of democracy is the responsibility of all and Savitri Era Party doesn't approve of the attempt of BJP and BJD for influencing the public mind through overtly religious temple ceremonies in the election year. They should be performed in a non-partisan way later.

Worshipping The Mother & Sri Aurobindo as the one Supreme Divine is the foundational principle of Savitri Era Religion. They are considered as ever-present and busy directing the course of evolution for descent of the Supramental consciousness upon earth.
