Some discussion on Sri Aurobindo was going on three-four years back due to his 150th Birth anniversary. It has dried up altogether. Funding has stopped, and so, Scholars have fallen silent. At the moment, no one has anything to do with Sri Aurobindo except our Copy-paste brigade.
Sabarimala hearing is throwing interesting arguments vis-à-vis religion. As Founder of Savitri Era Religion (2006), I am offering justifications for it, although it is well known that The Mother & Sri Aurobindo were against starting any new religion. Legal recognition is a must.
Love, devotion, and loyalty towards The Mother & Sri Aurobindo forms the right path in the present situation. Extraneous affiliations or sympathies can misguide. Savitri Era Religion and Savitri Era Party show how discarding dominant models of philosophy or politics is essential.
I'm a devotee of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo since 1964; Director, Savitri Era Learning Forum (SELF - 2005), President, Savitri Era Party (2007), and Founder, Savitri Era Religion (2006): savitriera.blogspot.com. Sri Aurobindo shouldn't be kept confined to Uttarpara or Puducherry.
The Mother & Sri Aurobindo's teachings blossomed in the last century, when modern and liberal ideals were valued. This century witnessed forceful challenge to the same orchestrated by Hindutva. Savitri Era Party (2007) continues its lone battle of opposing AAP, BJP, and Congress.
Savitri Era Religion doesn't impose reading The Mother & Sri Aurobindo's books or practicing Integral yoga. Love, devotion, and loyalty towards them, and seeking their grace and compassion by an attitude of surrender and gratitude is the only requirement. No mythology or rituals.
Turned out a nationwide election speech by the Prime Minister. So, the whole drama was conceived as a context for this speech. It's shameful that Prime Minister of India acts in such a deceitful manner. How this kind of deceptive step is supported by educated people is beyond me.
Despite doubtful prospects, asserting that our party is going to win comfortably is the most deceptive act by its leaders and supporters. Democracy forces such hypocrisy upon people leading to intellectual dishonesty. Once taken root corruption becomes common without compunction.
Worshipping The Mother & Sri Aurobindo as the one Supreme Divine warrants loss of respect for their famous contemporaries. They have their place in history or literature and culture but from the point of view of evolutionary trajectory many of them were obstacles like Subhas Bose
Being born and brought up in a village, I have first-hand experiences of poverty, deprivation, and superstitions. Therefore, I support modern and liberal values gifted by the West. As a devotee of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo since childhood, it's natural for me to oppose Hindutva.
Election campaign is on in West Bengal but I don't know why Gandhi is being drafted to Shyamnagar. Incidentally the Chief Justice today set the record straight on Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose. But can West Bengal accept it? I wish Sri Aurobindo adorned the pedestal at Power House!
A decent hold on Western philosophy is essential for grasping the true import of Sri Aurobindo's philosophy. Similarly acquaintance with Modern psychology facilitates understanding The Mother's framework of yoga. Integral education draws insights from all these disparate spheres.
Many have been misguided by Ram Swarup, Sita Ram Goel, Arun Shourie, Rajiv Malhotra et al. As President of Savitri Era Party (2007), I am confident that one day people will return to the real knowledge unveiled by The Mother & Sri Aurobindo. Impartiality and unselfishness needed.
Evil is intrinsic to any ontology, like death being an integral part of life. Similarly, crime can't be eradicated from any society and its diverse patterns may narrow down depending upon sample size. But assuming that the perpetrators belong to any specific religion is specious.

I have met many people in life who are much more intelligent and well-read than me, but were not able to accept The Mother & Sri Aurobindo. This is because they didn't apply their intellect adequately owing to allegiance to attractions elsewhere. The same thing happens here also.
India is undergoing ideological flux and political vacuum. Savitri Era Party is confident that Sri Aurobindo's #FiveDreamsManifesto, broadcast on August 14, 1947 will catch imagination. His stellar role in Congress split in Surat in 1907, and Uttarpara speech of 1909 are crucial.

Hindutva enthusiasts are always eager to appropriate Sri Aurobindo but skip spending time with his voluminous books. I have been warning that The Mother & Sri Aurobindo can't be amalgamated with any other philosophy or guru. Savitri Era Religion ensures that one stays the course.
There is no dearth of resources on The Mother & Sri Aurobindo online, today, but the problem of right orientation remains. Hindutva sticks to the Uttarpara speech while scholars emphasise on meditation and yoga. Some intellectuals keep on conflating him with sundry personalities.
