The Mother & Sri Aurobindo are the one Supreme Divine who are always present. No one can be compared to them nor can any old mythology or cosmology be imposed upon them. Many of their writings need to be read in the light of their own divinity which they never claimed explicitly.
Many followers are reluctant to accept The Mother & Sri Aurobindo as the one Supreme Divine and, of course, it takes time. The idea of a separate religion, similarly, is repulsive to most, but it's a legal and sociological necessity. Savitri Era Religion seeks Govt. recognition.
The direct disciples wrote in the Nehruvian environment and didn't face a challenging situation like the present. Hindutva, no longer, is just one of the players but intends to be the only player. Other religions may or may not succumb but Savitri Era Religion is for the future.
Remembering Sri Aurobindo on Vivekananda's birth anniversary might seem magnanimous but the two represent different worlds. I have been warning against the ill-informed and anti-evolutionary philosophy of Vivekananda. One can easily add Tagore, Netaji, and M.N. Roy to the list.
Deserves an article. Trads are unhappy as Modi-Mohan are busy crafting a refurbished Hindutva. Give the devil his due!
Political power is not the only or the highest power. Political power seeks validation from philosophical power. Philosophy is rational but attempts are often made to circumvent it by invoking mythological irrationality. Faith is flaunted as mightier than reason. The jury is out!
If after sixty years of worshipping The Mother & Sri Aurobindo as the one Supreme Divine, I can't belong to a separate religion in a democracy, then what's the meaning of high sounding vocabulary of Article 25 of the Constitution? Auroville is in turmoil and this is the solution.
You are free to inaugurate your own temple but why Matrimandir and Auroville are not being handed over to the devotees? Savitri Era Party demands that Savitri Era Religion be granted Govt. recognition. Ban on The Lives of Sri Aurobindo, book by Peter Heehs should also be lifted.
Working in a public field is difficult without a common urge for raising voice for just causes and the morality of supporting democratic mobilisation. The Mother & Sri Aurobindo never encouraged politics but their devotees and followers shouldn't be silent spectators of injustice.
The Constitution of India gives each person a new role as a citizen. This is apart from the social and professional duties we perform. Savitri Era Party has been simulating such a political consciousness among the devotees and followers of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo since 2007.
Social media provides the opportunity for expressing opinions. Various issues can be resolved through discussion and critical analysis. Silence doesn't mean inaction or leaving the decision in The Mother's hands. Silence implies being led by some dominant power and exploitation.
Unity shouldn't mean there needn't be any space after a fullstop or comma.
Western theory is inchoate as it ignores Indian social reality on the one hand and Sri Aurobindo's philosophy on the other. Study of Humanities is poor to that extent and a robust survey of the Human condition is missing. Students of Sri Aurobindo too haven't shown much promise!
I have lived in Odisha, Delhi, U.P., and West Bengal and The Mother has given me the opportunity to study Sri Aurobindo's philosophy as well as Western philosophy. At 68, it gives me the sense of fullness and satisfaction which perhaps nothing else would have provided. Gratitude!
The yoga of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo is not linked with external things or material objects. So use of land for bigger projects can't be objected to. However protection of private property is a concern. It's only by acquiring a separate religion status that this can be ensured.
Devotion and surrender to The Mother & Sri Aurobindo, who are the one Supreme Divine and are always present, is the fundamental principle of Savitri Era Religion. They are not connected with any other religion or their stock of mythology, cosmology, or philosophical formulations.
The Mother & Sri Aurobindo discouraged inquisitiveness about their lives. The challenge is to contemplate on their universal and transcendent poises while conceiving them as the ever-present, one Supreme Divine. Savitri Era Religion invites all to this adventure of consciousness.
Philosophy of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo is not simply philosophy. It's a medium for unfolding a sublime future for us. Believing in them and their words can transform the world. Savitri Era Religion is free from mythology and rituals. Descent of Supramental consciousness is aim.
