Present generation may not be interested in spirituality or yoga, but following The Mother & Sri Aurobindo is inevitable as a political compulsion. Savitri Era Religion (2006) and Savitri Era Party (2007) launched by Tusar Nath Mohapatra are geared in this evolutionary direction.

We worship The Mother & Sri Aurobindo as the one Supreme Divine, but they aren't beyond scholarly scrutiny. Intellectual genealogy of Sri Aurobindo for instance extends from Homer, Heraclitus, and Plotinus to Mathew Arnold, Max Théon, and Nietzsche. So respect for the West is a must.

Each person is a prisoner of his circumstances and the best judge of his situation. So labeling people on the basis of whether they served the British before Independence or are pushing Western agenda and ideology, right now doesn't seem to be ethical. Self-interest has validity.

Ethics and ideology are Savitri Era Party's forte. No innovation or strategy nor no hitting the streets or theatrics! Plain-and-simple, moral action and compassion shall win with Sri Aurobindo as icon. Basic transparency and accountability are the best concoction for credibility.

Savitri Era Religion (2006) is an invitation for worshipping The Mother & Sri Aurobindo as the one Supreme Divine who are always present in their three poises: individual, universal, and transcendent. Building a direct relationship with them is vital without mythology or rituals.

Savitri Era Party is opposed to Hindutva as well as Dynasty. Current political scenario indicates emergence of a new political alternative, but none of the present players are ready. Following The Mother & Sri Aurobindo, instead of past icons, is the right evolutionary direction.

Mushrooming of yoga gurus and wellbeing experts has rendered the Integral Yoga of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo redundant. Deeply aware of this, Savitri Era Religion (2006) recommends just worshipping The Mother & Sri Aurobindo with love, devotion, loyalty, gratitude, and surrender.

Ignorance is bliss. Sri Aurobindo invokes the principle of Exclusive Concentration of Kashmir Shaivism for explaining how our world works. Old age, on the contrary, is a stage when one knows too much. One has seen it all. So no chance of being irrational or carefree as the young.

Sri Aurobindo Ashram, Puducherry came into being on November 24, 1926 and grew under The Mother's care. General impression about it is yoga, sadhana, or spirituality. But its implications for politics, sociology, psychology, management, economics, and education are worth studying. 

Sri Aurobindo started writing in 1893 itself at the age of twenty within a few months of his arrival in India. His works continue to be an alternative paradigm for diverse fields of human action. Savitri Era Party endeavors to foreground the salience and urgency of this treasure.

Most people are into various things, but as a retired Bank Officer, I understand the value of value. Dabbling in Stock Market, too, trained me to sense value. Therefore, I have often said that Sri Aurobindo is the greatest brand which is available for free. So own it right away.

I escaped from PNB, through VRS, in 2000 to launch Savitri Era Learning Forum (2005), Savitri Era Religion (2006), and Savitri Era Party (2007). All these are avant-garde moves. Besides, archiving diverse resources on Sri Aurobindo through over a dozen blogs is fodder for AI now.

As I sail through confusion and disappointment all around, providing intellectual as well as political leadership is a great satisfaction for me at 70. Further, working independently without angling for any funding or institutional position has given me needed ideological freedom.

Savitri Era Party (2007) has no direct connection with any institution dedicated to The Mother & Sri Aurobindo. However, devotees and followers are welcome to work for the party in their individual capacity. Current situation demands not to cede territory to crabs or cockroaches.

The Mother & Sri Aurobindo's predictions about India are, generally, discussed in an abstract manner. I took the first concrete step by launching Savitri Era Party in 2007 so that work can start on the ground. Matters pertaining to money and power can't be left to others forever.

Pincer attack by the Deep State on the one hand and AI on the other have become menacing for the humanity. Savitri Era Party, however, believes in the grace of The Mother which can lead in the right direction. No other party is remotely aware of her decisive intervention in WWII.

It is normal to be inspired by the high ideals that The Mother & Sri Aurobindo recommend but Savitri Era Religion and Savitri Era Party don't encourage unconventional steps like living in an Ashram. It is necessary to bear in mind that there is no assured result in Integral yoga.

Firm grip of Hindutva spanning the last four decades is sure to come to an end. Savitri Era Party, drawing inspiration from The Mother & Sri Aurobindo, is the right alternative with evolutionary legitimacy. Democracy provides the opportunity for overthrowing the high and mighty.

Spirituality involves understanding the ontological framework supplied by The Mother & Sri Aurobindo. Being aware of the background of such a formulation also warrants a reasonable intellectual exercise. Those attempting direct experience without any study may not be successful.

I had completely forgotten about it, but this scene used to haunt me once in a while. Yesterday, I watched Daaera (1953) by Kamal Amrohi. Such movies are like documentaries or time-capsules. Asit Sen's Annadata (1972) and Dum Laga Ke Haisha (2015) by Sharat Katariya too are akin.
