As President of Sarvjan Sanatan Party, @MNageswarRaoIPS seems be diluting his old, Hindu hardline image. While that is welcome, Savitri Era Party (2007) maintains that without expressly adhering to Sri Aurobindo's evolutionary vision, such well-meaning ventures are bound to fail.

Sri Aurobindo Marg has become the centre of the protest scene. Following Sri Aurobindo should rather be the right choice in the present context. Savitri Era Party, firmly, opposes the kind of ambush politics promoted by some opposition leaders. Democracy should not be sabotaged.

Protests are the flavour of the season. But democracy can't function on the basis of protests. Undermining the sanctity of the people's mandate through arm-twisting methods won't produce favourable results. Fighting elections is the right mode. Any shortcut is immature and immoral.

Collective action is an addiction in politics. The same currents of group dynamics operates in spirituality, too. Seeking satisfying social life should be cultivated in appropriate places. Trying to satisfy that urge in wrong domains, therefore, won't produce the desired results.

I don't claim any sort of higher consciousness although I have been reading The Mother & Sri Aurobindo's books from a very young age. But the evolutionary inevitability of their ontological framework provides a broader vision and optimism over run-of-the-mill political ideologies.

Let there be no confusion that I am against Hindutva as well as the present Govt. As President of Savitri Era Party (2007), I have been pushing for accepting Sri Aurobindo as icon instead of old ideologies. A groundswell of appreciation for his wellspring of ideas is discernible.
