Savitri Era: Leftist scholars have hoodwinked the people by banishing Sri Aurobindo savitriera.blogspot.com/2023/08/leftis X posts, in original, by Tusar Nath Mohapatra (b. 1956), Founder, Savitri Era Religion and Savitri Era Party. Savitri Era of those who adore, Om Sri Aurobindo & The Mother.
I was seventeen and B.D. Jatti didn't entertain the claim of Biju Patnaik to form the government and, instead, recommended the dissolution of the Assembly. After fifty years my disillusionment with the democratic system hasn't wiped off. I developed a visceral hatred towards... .
Knowing about Sri Aurobindo is the best way to know the correct history of India as he gives the right opinion about his contemporaries. Events too are seen in new light when he is put at the centre. His message was broadcast a few hours before Nehru's A tryst with destiny speech
Grameen shouldn't mean one day late.
Those who're reluctant to accept The Mother & Sri Aurobindo as the one Supreme Divine are free to pursue their own religions. Their devotees belonging to Savitri Era Religion are clear about their allegiance and don't make obeisance to anyone other than The Mother & Sri Aurobindo
Poetry, philosophy, politics, education, cultural criticism, scriptural commentary, evolutionary prophecy, or spiritual guidance, all these things are there in the works of Sri Aurobindo but he is not only these. He, along with The Mother, is the one Supreme Divine, ever present.
Sri Aurobindo had translated Kalidasa's Meghaduta in terza rima but it was lost. Only two dozen lines are available that were quoted. "It seems to me that in two respects at least Kalidasa far surpasses Shakespeare, in knowledge of a mother’s heart, in knowledge of the child."
Science has been making progress by leaps and bounds but the challenge Sri Aurobindo has thrown through his The Life Divine remains unsurpassed. His insistence on supraphysical realities and evolution of consciousness are yet to be fathomed. Divinisation of body too is unresolved.
Remembering The Mother & Sri Aurobindo means education and learning. From Homer and Heraclitus to Bhartṛhari or Kalidasa; from Blake and Nietzsche to Bankim and Tagore. They have their own unique views on appreciation of art. The Mother herself has created a new genre of music.
Following The Mother & Sri Aurobindo is the greatest civilisational demand. It's also the most important evolutionary necessity. Savitri Era Religion invites one and all to be a part of this adventure of consciousness by relegating the past religions to the dustbin of history.
Religion, by definition, is a godward emotion but it is being increasingly harnessed for social and political mobilisation. As such, the original purpose is lost sight of. Self-esteem and enjoyment being part of group dynamics, the youth is drawn easily. Savitri Era is different.
It is interesting to recall how our poets and playwrights were affected by Existentialism, apart from Marxism, in the last century. The philosophy and poetry of Sri Aurobindo was a beacon of light in that despairing scenario. Today, many love to imagine the end of ideology but no
Why not Savitri Era Religion? #SriAurobindo
True but the emphasis on which is the oldest religion is not in keeping with people's craze for latest gadgets.
That's very much there and we need to wait.
In a democracy, the people are the supreme. It is of the people, by the people, and for the people. In ideologies like nationalism, the country is made supreme. Similarly, in religion, people invoke ancestors. These are warped logics. Living citizens should receive the attention.
Patrick Beldio's paper on The Mother is quite impressive but he has corrupted it by importing sundry concepts and terminology from other traditions. Somehow, he seems to miss out the first occurrence of descent of Supramental force for which Sri Aurobindo's death was necessitated.
It needs to be repeated, almost everyday, that The Mother & Sri Aurobindo, jointly, are the one Supreme Divine who are always present. They have no guru or any lineage. They are not connected with any other religion or mythology. So those trying to appropriate them should abstain.
What The Mother & Sri Aurobindo have achieved, both in intellectual as well as occult domain, is unique and unprecedented. They have their own vocabulary and method of practice. They have also made amply clear their difference from other traditions. So there's no scope to compare.
Savitri Era Religion seeks to be a safe home for the genuine devotees of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo. Those paying obeisance to multiple gurus and gods have no place here. Aspiration, Rejection, and Surrender is the triple formula for ushering in the Supramental transformation.
It's true that many have tried to show The Mother in a poor light as compared to Sri Aurobindo. But when we start from their Supreme Divine status, other historical or exegetical aspects get blurred. Thus, methodologically, Savitri Era religion transcending the texts is in order.
Savitri Era Religion doesn't believe in any mythology and has its own view of history. The Mother & Sri Aurobindo fought against Hitler and hence Subhas Bose, who collaborated with him, can't be admired. Savarkar and his sectarian Hindutva should also be seen in the same light.
Just like Marx, famously, stood Hegel on his head, Savitri Era Religion worships The Mother & Sri Aurobindo as the one Supreme Divine instead of the biographical approach of successive spiritual realisations determining their greatness. Stories of their lives are merely a play.
The Mother & Sri Aurobindo don't belong to the Ashram or Auroville. Anyone can keep their photographs or books and worship them. Believing them as the one Supreme Divine is necessary. Other things like visiting a Centre or attending the weekly collective meditation are corollary.
Various ideological permutations and combinations have begun as 2024 approaches. Castes and religion are sure-fire formulas. But Savitri Era Party hopes for a more rational environment and ethical standard. The visions of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo are for fraternity and harmony.
The life of Sri Aurobindo has many parallels with that of Dante. Despite the religious nature of his poem, Dante is also considered as one of the founding fathers of secularism. The story of Beatrice as Dante's literary muse is interesting. Even the cart-men used to sing his poem.
