Education prescribes a lot of writings to read. But a lot is left out too. The writings of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo are important from the personality development perspective. They are also essential as life skills and for coping up in the advanced age. So investing time needed.
The country is facing myriad problems on various fronts. Society too is steeped with conflict, cruelty, and exploitation. Administrative steps are insufficient. Praying to The Mother & Sri Aurobindo is the only solution as they hold the key to climb to the next stage of evolution.
After Sri Aurobindo's passing in 1950, his writings have been examined threadbare which are scattered in various journals and books. It's unfortunate that people don't consult these authoritative works and give immature personal opinions. SELF can help.

Feeling the living presence of The Mother and invoking her grace, several times a day, is a major difference of Savitri Era Religion from other religions. Sri Aurobindo remains in the background but when it comes to philosophy, ideology, or narrative, his insights spring to mind.
Philosophy ended with The Life Divine after which The Mother & Sri Aurobindo emphasised the path of Integral yoga. They didn't recommend any system of the past. Aspiration, Rejection, and Surrender became the triple formula along with worshipping them as the one Supreme Divine.
Acceptability of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo was facilitated by portraying them as Avatar. This led to many confusions and misconceptions. Savitri Era Religion seeks to establish clarity in the matter that they are the one Supreme Divine and it has no connection with old religions.
All idealism boils down to capturing power. Ethics has lofty inspirations. Sri Aurobindo, however, points to the evolutionary dimension. He aims at the transformation of lower instincts to their sublime versions. This Vedic imperative has been explained by The Mother in flowers.
Sri Aurobindo, himself, has used numerous instances from history for building his narratives or justifying his theories but the future he envisions is not just an extension of the past. Thus, following him enjoins expecting new formulas and new strategies as part of the emergence.
The difference between Hegel and Sri Aurobindo is that in between them appear Darwin and Einstein. Husserl, Heidegger, and Whitehead did their best but were unaware of Tantra. Sri Aurobindo had the advantage of Indian tradition and Max Théon's Cosmic prophecy, through The Mother.
Savitri Era Religion has no competition in terms of philosophy. Cultural resources too are growing in multiple directions. Concerted effort for dissemination is lacking as many are acting as agents of past religions. Devotees need to work diligently for propagation of their faith.
Scholars are busy promoting other great men while I concentrate on Sri Aurobindo. One thing I have learnt from whatever little I have read that other writers are dealing with intellectual knowledge while Sri Aurobindo wrote from the intuitive level that have transformative power.
Reading the books of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo is treated as worship by the devotees. Presence of their books itself is considered auspicious. The very sight of the books or holding them feels as salutary vibrations. They can be opened at any page and answer to question is found.
Reading Sri Aurobindo's books is difficult is no reason for avoiding him, altogether. Most people are affiliated to some tradition or the other which prevents them from approaching Sri Aurobindo with an open mind. But the safe course is to look at him as a philosopher and mystic poet.

Why do you spread wrong info on Sri Aurobindo?
As more and more ploys are being deployed to keep Sri Aurobindo within the clutch of Hindutva the relevance of Savitri Era Religion is becoming more crucial. Using quotations from the works of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo is very good but implying a secular scenario is hypocritical.
Colonialism created the backdrop for the meeting of the East and the West in the Integral philosophy of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo. They took enough pains to establish it on a firm foundation including real estate. Sanctity and integrity of this epochal endeavour needs protection.
Remembering The Mother & Sri Aurobindo and invoking their presence constitutes a vibrant collaboration with evolution in its journey towards the Supramental world. Only the devotees are aware of the great significance and urgency of this task and therefore their role is different.
Right from 1893, Sri Aurobindo has provided a different and authentic narrative. Even after 130 years, unfortunately, he hasn't received the reception he deserves. But he reigns over the world of thought, on merit. Any honest seeker of knowledge will be led to him automatically.
Innumerable people have been influenced by The Mother & Sri Aurobindo who are no more. No one remembers them as devotees. There's no mechanism for recognising our collective existence and its contributions. Savitri Era Religion hopes to fill up this gap by setting up local units.

There are hundreds of books on The Mother & Sri Aurobindo by their disciples and other scholars. Videos are also multiplying everyday. Different Centres are spreading their message in the local languages. Conferences and Seminars too take place, regularly.

Human brain has a mechanism of erasing memory which is necessary, comments Sri Aurobindo. Similarly, how much history is enough for students and how long of the past should be remembered? Instead of political leaders applying the scissors, a rational review of the past is needed.

Savitri Era Party claims that the current political discourse is pointless. The real issues are overlooked. Everything is said with an eye on the elections. Capturing power has become a business strategy. The core of political motive has to change. Following Sri Aurobindo is key.
Piecemeal solutions or incremental reforms are not going to transform the situation. Descent of the Supramental consciousness is the only remedy. Praying to The Mother & Sri Aurobindo and surrendering to them is what is expected of us. Collaboration with evolution is essential.
It is possible to know today the history of human civilisation in every detail and access numerous sacred texts in different languages. But neglecting The Life Divine is a cardinal mistake. Not recognising The Mother & Sri Aurobindo as the one Supreme Divine turns life fruitless.
As Director of Savitri Era Learning Forum (SELF), my advice is that don't waste time in surveying different sources of knowledge or philosophy. Start with Sri Aurobindo and then other things will come. The beginning may be a bit difficult but with persistence, it will become easy

The Mother & Sri Aurobindo were dissatisfied with the past and found fault with different traditions. What they emphasised is how sincerity & purity is missing in Godward emotions. Everywhere there's some admixture of material nature. They taught growing into higher consciousness
The Mother & Sri Aurobindo knew that it's difficult to bear "the severe strain of... such strenuous intellectual labour" and created their own Ashram for instructing the disciples. Their writings have been neglected for the last 110 years and Universities don't show any interest.
All these terms are loaded and turn weaponised by Leftist authors. Emancipation and empowerment are noble goals but to force solutions is not realistic. Varieties of societies have developed in different situations with unique histories and to change them on one template is tough.
No disputing that and everyone including the left have a right to exist. But the hegemony of Leftist scholarship has an effect of imbalance on discourse. In the absence of similar level of contributions from other quarters, it's difficult to acquire a right critical perspective.
It's not about power but intellectual power. It has been absent all these decades. But things are changing.

Even feeling upset about injustice became a career and served self-interest. Bollywood too made money out of it. Democracy is an ideal for transcending these lower motivations. That standard hasn't been met yet.
