The 20th century has all the ingredients for endless study of human excellence as well as perversion. Computers were rudimentary when man walked on the moon. This century has been taken over by AI. But it can't solve the meaning of life. The Mother & Sri Aurobindo remain relevant

BJP hasn't been able to appropriate Sri Aurobindo fully till now, but as West Bengal Assembly elections are drawing near, it is eager to harness his Uttarpara speech to the hilt. But Savitri Era Party feels that it won't be successful since evolutionary trajectory aims elsewhere!

The Mother & Sri Aurobindo emphasise on collective and cosmic transformation unlike the traditional and Buddhist stress on self-realisation or liberation. In this sense, politics is a vehicle for dissemination of their ideals and enthusing people about evolutionary inevitability.

It's superficially believed that Sri Aurobindo didn't start any new religion but it's very much inbuilt in his Integral yoga as he talks about the indispensability of Divine grace in the first sentence of The Mother book. Surrender to The Mother under Savitri Era Religion is key.

AI is very much a part of the future evolution envisioned by The Mother & Sri Aurobindo. But associating it with the higher levels of consciousness may not be correct. When even mitochondria are yet to be understood adequately as sensing and communicative entities, we must wait!

For Savitri Era Religion, The Mother & Sri Aurobindo are the one Supreme Divine who are always present in their three poises: individual, universal, and transcendent. Therefore, Savitri Era Party requests not to compare them with other famous persons or gurus except academically.

As a devotee of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo, I have been reading their writings since 1964. I have also acquired preliminary acquaintance with Western philosophy, for comparative analysis. As President of Savitri Era Party, I stress on the political relevance of their predictions.

Sri Aurobindo pointed out that Shankara tried to interpret Isha Upanishad according to his own predetermined philosophy. Present readers of Sri Aurobindo shouldn't commit the same mistake of understanding him according to their set ideologies. Devotion and open mind is essential.

We live in an interpreted world; narrative wars are in full swing. Modern knowledge is bewitching and bewildering, often blinding. Savitri Era lens clings to The Mother & Sri Aurobindo for light. It's a multi-pronged endeavour: history, politics, philosophy, psychology, pedagogy.

The Mother & Sri Aurobindo's teachings may be rational and universal but each one would use it according to his or her personal situation and requirement. Further intellectual background matters a lot in understanding their intention. Devotional attitude too differs a great deal.

Sisir Kumar Maitra has noted that had he read The Life Divine in the Arya itself instead of when it came out as a book he would have been spared of the intellectual struggle he actually went through. Right reading material is important and Savitri Era Learning Forum (SELF) leads.

People derive a sense of stability from traditions and feel contented by perennial philosophy. The Mother & Sri Aurobindo however rake up the ongoing evolution which will force change. SELF (2005), Savitri Era Religion (2006) and Savitri Era Party (2007) prepare the field for it.

Hindi films were a major vehicle for popularising certain icons, but Sri Aurobindo was excluded. However, his vision of change and coming of a new age was a theme in many flms albeit with Marxist overtones. The underlying spiritual or mystic aspect was never explained explicitly.

The Life Divine has a long history as it originally began as a commentary on Isha Upanishad in 1902. Ten such drafts were written by Sri Aurobindo and in 1905, It was conceived as a series of course material for the students of the proposed Bhawani Mandir.

Vajpayee ensured that Advani doesn't become the Prime Minister. Similarly Modi is ensuring that no one from their party reaches the top post. He might resign after completion of twelve years which will throw the party into chaos. And the Janata Party smithereens tale will repeat.

Devotees of Savitri Era Religion negotiate a very clumsy and embarrassing situation in the absence of any legal or official recognition for their religion. The Mother & Sri Aurobindo may be just historical figures for others, but they are the one Supreme Divine for the devotees.

Very intelligent and articulate know-alls crowd this space and some are really very peeved about why Sri Aurobindo is being mentioned on different occasions. They are so well-read that they can't accept something exists beyond their knowledge. They try to prove that he is nobody!

Vivekananda thought that pushing Ramakrishna would solve all problems. It didn't. Nehru thought pushing Gandhi is the best solution. He was proved wrong. Similarly, Marx, Lohia, Periyar, Ambedkar, and Savarkar were promoted, but in vain. Thus, Sri Aurobindo remains the only hope.

Discussion on puja is going on which is an unrecognisable creature in Bengal. It has so many forms and effects that confining it to any particular notion is absurd. The basic ritual of puja itself is a collage supposed to be a rebellion against the formless. But it's all useless.

I have seen Bank nationalisation and later their privatisation. I have heard of population explosion and now measures to increase it. I have seen campaigns against colour TV and computers and now phones are in every hand. Similarly Sri Aurobindo's day will come of its own accord.

It is difficult for most today to understand how Indian Express and Arun Shourie fought against the might of Indira Gandhi during our college days. Shourie was the one sun then to illumine the conscience of the entire nation. Singlehandedly, he changed course of nation's history.

I have been reading The Mother & Sri Aurobindo's writings since 1964 and have participated in many devotional and organisational activities related to them. However my discomfort with Hinduism after Babri Masjid demolition in 1992 led me to establish Savitri Era Religion in 2006.

Sri Aurobindo challenged Darwin, Spencer, Marx, Nietzsche, Bergson, Freud, et al with a very simple logic. What's the source and energy of your upward evolution or social revolution, he asked. Thus he explained how the Divine principle is already involved which unfolds gradually.

The juvenility of Hindutva enthusiasts is absolutely amusing. For them, Sri Aurobindo is all about Uttarpara. That one sentence is all what they need and can understand! But they should travel to Tiruchirappalli from where the #FiveDreams Manifesto of Sri Aurobindo was broadcast.

Sri Aurobindo becomes a new Sri Aurobindo after his meeting with The Mother on March 29, 1914. They are the one Supreme Divine who are always present and the future evolution is in their hands. Savitri Era Party, therefore, rejects hollow optimism of AAP, BJP, Left, and Congress.

Odia ଓଡିଆ has the rounded, most beautiful script among all Indian languages. It retains Schwa and the pronunciation perfectly matches what is written. It doesn't have the obfuscating gender difference of inanimate objects and abstract notions like Hindi. Time to recognise these.

I have been canvassing for granting of Sovereignty to the States under a loose Federation so that each language attains its full potential. Nationality, like in Europe, is language.

Acquaintance with the philosophy of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo can easily wean away people from harmful ideologies like Hindutva. Sri Aurobindo reinterpreted the Veda, and restored its original significance and relevance for the modern generation. He wrote Savitri to retell them.

While constant war is going on between Left and Right, Savitri Era Party posits Sri Aurobindo as the right recipe. There can be many disagreements with his various historical roles or opinions but they were contextual. His evolutionary framework is what should be the focal point.

Nehru was responsible for not allowing the dominant religion dictating terms to the Govt but failed to fortify his policy with adequate armament and ammunitions. Savitri Era Party is confident that following The Mother & Sri Aurobindo is the only alternative to dethrone Hindutva.

Democracy means rule by the people or their representatives. Being conscious of the mode or nature of administration and act as a watchdog is also incumbent on the citizens. But social media has turned it into entertainment, and a career for many. Watchdogs have vested interests!

When people talk about Market, most of the time they think of success. Those case studies are sold as dreams; hymns to Chadhta Suraj are sung. But Market also involves failure, loss, or defeat. Thus blaming this or that is just superficial; deeper reasons are purely evolutionary.

Not being attached to any institution or group has allowed me to be independent in my thinking. The Mother & Sri Aurobindo have proved to be a strong anchor in my standing against Hindutva when so many others falter. Evolutionary worldview saves from narrow national perspectives.

Posts are normal on this platform against Congress, Communists, Socialists, Dalits, Muslims, Christians, and some Journalists. Savitri Era Party, however, aspires for harmony. This can be achieved by following The Mother & Sri Aurobindo who represent human unity and universality.

Since Savitri Era Religion worships The Mother & Sri Aurobindo as the one Supreme Divine it's not against people worshipping human beings as gods or goddesses. At least it's better and rational than worshipping imaginary characters of mythological fiction or abstract conceptions.

Granting Sovereignty to the States under a loose Federation can turn India the nucleus of future #WorldUnion that Sri Aurobindo foresaw in his #FiveDreams Manifesto. Otherwise, presently it lacks any moral stature for perorating on geopolitical matters since Delhi looks Colonial.

Instead of thinking about the poor in our country many are concerned about the wealthy Indians in America. Nationalism has many unseen dimensions including protecting gods in different countries and in the heaven. Boasting about new highways is common but the lanes are forgotten!

In 1906, Sri Aurobindo resigned from the Vadodara Royal service and moved to Kolkata as the Principal of the newly established Bengal National College, now Jadavpur University. Side by side, he was also acting as the editor of Bande Mataram newspaper founded by Bipin Chandra Pal.

There's no point in complaining about the British siphoning funds away from India during Colonialism since America is reimbursing continuously through subsidised tariffs. I didn't know about this phenomenon before the recent hike as we are pathetically supplicating to reduce them. 

Someone has tried to link Sri Aurobindo with Ram Swarup, Sitaram Goel, Arun Shourie, and Rajiv Malhotra. This is pure misrepresentation and intellectual dishonesty. People should read his books independently without any preconceived impression or prejudice incarnateword.in/cwsa

It's heartening that Nigrahacharya is clarifying matters relating to different gurus and cults. His criticism of Sri Aurobindo representing a break from traditional Shastras is accurate which also forms the basis of Savitri Era Religion. Others too should speak with such clarity.

World has changed immensely since 1973, when The Mother passed away. Thus the life in Sri Aurobindo Ashram, Puducherry or Auroville shouldn't be construed as a model for the future. Anyone can follow them anywhere in the world without the misconception of sustainable development.

My search for meaning of life through literature, philosophy, and politics acquired a strong underpinning via The Mother & Sri Aurobindo's teachings. Then it occurred to me that mere intellectuality is not enough and I started Savitri Era Religion in 2006. That was 20 years back.

Under the banner of Savitri Era Party (2007), I have been providing an alternative narrative and ideology that is different from what is ordinarily followed by most devotees of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo. It is also different from Hindutva, Congress, and Leftist line of thinking.

Many learned persons equate Sri Aurobindo to Gandhi, Tagore, Vivekananda, Savarkar, et al. This is absolutely unfair. Sri Aurobindo's principal contribution is in the field of philosophy, mystic poetry, yoga, and spirituality which is something unique in the entire world history.

Since I am not in contact with other devotees and followers of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo for many years, my own situation is the reflection of their action and grace. Group activities provide a sense of belongingness that may be necessary at a time but ultimately it is solitary.

Madhu Dandavate as Railway Minister had introduced cushion in Sleeper coaches and development continues. The Mother too was concerned for development of Sri Aurobindo Ashram and Auroville. But evolution shouldn't be confused with this line of progress. Shedding dross is the task.

Having seen ideological swings at different periods in the past it's my firm belief that hold of Hindutva will decline. Because people seek self-interest and no religion by itself can provide this in full. Power and wealth are essential and Sri Aurobindo stands as an alternative.

The philosophy of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo is the best among available variants even if one doesn't agree with their system of yoga. Savitri and other poetic output are surely superlative. Reading them can convince one that they are the one Supreme Divine who deserve surrender.

Thanks to @Sanjay_Dixit for highlighting Uttarpara speech of Sri Aurobindo in a video chat at DEF talks. However, there was a factual error that the speech was, originally, delivered in Bengali. But it was actually delivered in English since Sri Aurobindo was educated in England.

India at present is in a precarious state. Its politics is centred round religion. It's internal security is focused on religion. Its defense is religion-based too. Its foreign policy also hovers around religion. External trade and commerce largely are also sensitive to religion.

I had launched Savitri Era Learning Forum (SELF) in 2005 and twenty years have passed. Discourse on The Mother & Sri Aurobindo has taken many different forms. Thankfully, no one today feels bad about publicity on them. However writing on them has dwindled.

The aims of economics and politics have to be imbued with morality and compassion. This is on the basis of the inherent unity of all human beings or fraternity. Savitri Era Party, driven by the philosophy of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo, is in a unique position to pursue this path.

Integral yoga, Integral education, Integral Advaita, etc. are associated with The Mother & Sri Aurobindo. Integral philosophy, Integral psychology, or Integral sociology also are used at times. However nuances are different and are modified according to the situation or argument.

Despite espousing Enlightenment values, Western countries have not been able to create something like Auroville. So expecting it to be a reality in India is a chimera. But as a private property, it belongs to Savitri Era Religion. Govt. should not force secularism on Matrimandir.

Devotees of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo understand who they are, as for others they are just historical characters. Savitri Era Religion and Savitri Era Party are an attempt to gather their devotees and followers under one umbrella so that adverse attacks can be fought with unity.

More and more types of interactive, immersive experiences are going to swamp the human mind in future as a result of which reading will be pushed to the background. Seducing attention with attractive pictures and videos, therefore, is not an innocent act; it's clearly subversive.

One may not be interested about the Veda itself but understanding the meanings of a handful of terms can alter his or her perspective. However SA's opposition to AIT is not foolproof.

The #FiveDreams Manifesto of Sri Aurobindo was broadcast over AIR, Tiruchirappalli on August 14, 1947, a few hours before the Tryst with Destiny speech was delivered by Nehru in Delhi. It has been in the sidelines all these years, but seems like to be the focus as India's agenda.

Savitri Era Religion doesn't depend on the usual methods employed by other religions. Instead of being a collective or community affair, it's by the individual in his own unique way. Worshipping The Mother & Sri Aurobindo as the one Supreme Divine triggers a myriad possibilities.

I have been trying to bring clarity to understanding The Mother & Sri Aurobindo's legacy since their writings are full of complex concepts and formulations. Besides, their historical roles have many twists and turns. So the first step is to worship them as the one Supreme Divine.

English is sacred to us because Savitri is written in it. Hence respecting its grammar and punctuation marks should be an elementary concern while writing. Avoiding space or paragraph after every sentence gives a compact look just like the arguments offered shouldn't be spacious.

Savitri Era Religion believes that the reception of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo's ideas in future will be on the basis of a more rigorous examination of their philosophy and methodology, which is good. Thus a simply devotion-centric scenario is not enough but worshipping them key.

Many confuse it as his glorification of ancient India, as a result of which his scenario-vision of an ideal society embedded in it is missed.

Sri Aurobindo is the biggest brand of India and anyone promoting it will automatically be benefitted. This is at the pure material level. As a prominent soft power resource, handling its vast inventory imparts commensurate profits at the consciousness level. Grace has its effect.

While it's tempting to dismiss Feuerbach et al as symbols of suspicion or banishment, it would be more fruitful to harness their neglected dimensions, like Indra reclaiming cows, or light, from the Vritras. In this context, Adam Smith, or even Franz Kafka, can come to the rescue.

It's not Rishi Aurobindo. It's simply Sri Aurobindo. No Rishi or Maharshi. He signed in the style as Sri Aurobindo. His books have been published under the name Sri Aurobindo. His Ashram at Puducherry is Sri Aurobindo Ashram. So please don't distort his name. He is Sri Aurobindo.

Fine. Then he should be called Rishi Sri Aurobindo and not Rishi Aurobindo. Sri is very much part of his adopted name and not an honorific. He also dropped the surname Ghose. Further, he was against using old titles llike Rishi as his task was conquering new higher consciousness.

As the one Supreme Divine, The Mother & Sri Aurobindo are always present in their three poises: individual, universal, and transcendent. They have resolved all philosophical disputes, and put paid to perennial quarrels over political and economic ideologies. May it be recognised!

Let there be no confusion that Savitri Era Religion was founded by Tusar Nath Mohapatra (b. 1956) in 2006. It has a distinct philosophy and ontology from what was originally taught by The Mother & Sri Aurobindo. Savitri Era Learning Forum and Savitri Era Party are allied outfits.

As a rebel Sri Aurobindo talked about transcending the scientific view of the world and seeking spiritual realities via yoga. But this opens floodgates for frauds, quacks, and imposters. Commercial interests mushroom in collective activities. Savitri Era Religion advises caution.

The Mother & Sri Aurobindo have expressed poor opinion about politics at places, and hence, their devotees and followers consider politics as dirty. But the same people consider lotus symbol as resembling The Mother's symbol and quietly vote for BJP. This is a pathetic situation!

The writings of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo are writings which compete in the marketplace of ideas for prescience and relevance. They are not self-evident truth, automatically. Savitri Era Religion worships them as the one Supreme Divine but does not assure about results of yoga.

The last seventy years have taught me that worshipping The Mother & Sri Aurobindo is the best solution. I gave the name Savitri Era Religion in 2006 since it is essential for legal and sociological purposes. With coherent philosophy it provides freedom from mythology and rituals.

Savitri Era Religion encourages devotees to build their own relationship with The Mother & Sri Aurobindo, independently, without any reliance on any institution or individual. No fixed method of practice or rituals are involved in this exercise. Only love, loyalty, and surrender.

Reading the books of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo is the only way for developing the right kind of mental framework for the modern world. Apart from philosophy, psychology, or yoga, lots of literature in the form of poetry, plays, and literary criticsm are also part of their works.

Apart from yoga and spirituality, the greatest contribution of Sri Aurobindo is an alternative vision and narrative, as encapsulated in his #FiveDreams Manifesto (1947). Savitri Era Party (2007) interprets this as opposition to BJP as well as Congress, for the present scenario.

It is not difficult to write scholarly articles on Sri Aurobindo by quoting passages from his writings on various themes. AI has made the task yet easier. But the real challenge is to go beyond textual understanding and present actual intent. Integral outlook is essential for it.

India saw partition in 1947. It adopted a Constitution in 1950 incorporating caste and perpetuating discrimination. Nehru inaugurated a dynasty the ill effects of which continues. So India has been deprived of true democracy and equality. Savitri Era Party aspires to remedy this.

History wars go on nonstop here and it's difficult to distinguish between history and legends or even mythology. All literary creations are thrown into the muddle. Movie plots are making things more complicated. Savitri Era Religion (2006) is an honest attempt to reject mythology. 

Thomas Babington Macaulay (1800–1859) and Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay (1838–1894) were being discussed recently who have seminal contributions to the building of modern India, we see today. The role of Christianity and Western philosophy is immense in constructing our mentality.

Principles of ethics are clear and simple. Citizens of India must uphold them for protecting democracy. Nothing becomes right just because a big crowd is supporting it. Sri Aurobindo is the only symbol of ethics in the whole of humanity. Savitri Era Party encourages to follow him. 

Accusing others has become normal whereas the right approach is to look into the defects of one's own ideology or methodology. Electoral success shouldn't be construed as a ratification of any ideology. Democracy and modernity can't be sacrificed at the altar of religious hubris.

People in UP were voting for the Congress. Then they started voting for various versions of Janata Party. For a time they favoured the Bahujan Samaj. Now they are voting for BJP. So, no one should take it for granted that people have become their own. They will shift before long.

Roller-coaster journey of Western philosophy is an excellent historical record of how human intellect has struggled over the centuries in search of truth. Grappling with political or economic issues also add realism to the whole quest. Finally, Sri Aurobindo provides the answers.

Each person is free to interpret the teachings of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo according to his or her understanding and need. Although, I was conversant with it from an early age, I started Savitri Era Religion at the age of fifty. Obviously, life's experience teaches many things.

Videos and podcasts have become common and reading is being relegated to the background. Savitri Era Religion worships The Mother & Sri Aurobindo as the one Supreme Divine and to understand them some amount of reading is necessary. Further reciting Savitri creates Mantric effect.

The beauty of Savitri Era ontology is that it not only surpasses all previous formulations but also modifies Sri Aurobindo's own. They are the one Supreme Divine and hence it is necessary to imagine The Mother transcending gender and the dualistic shadows of ancient philosophies.

Sri Aurobindo rebelled against dry rationalism and advocated intuitive perception but unfortunately the same can't be implemented in an academic milieu. However studying the dynamics of spirituality shouldn't be debarred by the universities. The Life Divine is the best candidate.

Worshipping The Mother & Sri Aurobindo as the one Supreme Divine is the first necessity. Fostering plurality and individual freedom is also our duty. Feelings of ownership and entitlement therefore need to be moderated. Respect for all kinds of knowledge and creativity is a must.

Savitri Era Religion encourages a down-to-earth approach towards spirituality and self-management. The Mother & Sri Aurobindo's writings are vast with profound concepts. It's not easy to be benefitted by them as is visible in many examples. So worshipping them is the best avenue.

The Divine manifestation of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo is not acknowledged widely. A lot of confusion prevails among devotees also. Many find it appropriate to confine them within the Hindu religion while another section treats them as nothing more than Gurus. Savitri Era is key.

Tension between Sri Aurobindo and Hindutva is the most interesting subject of this century. Savitri Era Party has been highlighting this which has implications for other religions also. Historians are yet to chronicle significant facets of this encounter. Scholars are in slumber!

Savitri Era Religion has no connection with other religions and mythological fictions. The Mother & Sri Aurobindo represent diverse backgrounds but worshipping them as the one Supreme Divine who are always present in their three poises is the most futuristic apprehension of them.

Explaining Savitri has turned a sort of escapism. Obviously no one has answers to our day-to-day problems, but Integral yoga needs to be aligned with a conscious seeking of solutions for them. At least there should be awareness about the anti-evolutionary forces such as Hindutva.

The Mother & Sri Aurobindo have predicted the descent of Supramental consciousness for transformation of life and the world. Savitri Era Party has been opposing Hindutva and the Congress for paving the way for such a prospect. Worshipping them as the one Supreme Divine is vital.

Took voluntary retirement from Punjab National Bank today 25 years back. At 70 I look back with satisfaction at my intellectual journey and having provided an alternative narrative under Savitri Era banner on the basis of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo's philosophy and future vision.

I have seen three distinct phases of political dominance in India during the last seventy years. The next one clearly belongs to Sri Aurobindo and Savitri Era Party has been highlighting this for the last two decades. People don't know about him but evolutionary force is at play.

Since democracy entails majority rule, RSS consciously sticks to the Bottom of the pyramid. Left was milking it on economic basis but Hindutva focused on religion. Not even religion but on its Dolls wedding version. Thus appealing to the Lowest common denominator ensures success.

The Mother & Sri Aurobindo are worshipped as the one Supreme Divine, and yet I'm not in favour of treating their words as self-evident truth, for all time. Thus there is no reason why things cannot be changed over which consensus of certain people was created in the last century.

Sri Aurobindo's writings are great. The system of Integral yoga that he has devised along with The Mother is pathbreaking too. But the current situation in India is in a precarious state. The dominance and pernicious effect of Hindutva has to be countered by Savitri Era Religion.

Theosophy too has a similar system or would you attribute it to the probable meeting of Blavatsky with Max Théon? Are you then proposing that The Mother was partly responsible for The Life Divine? I don't think this aspect has been highlighted, definitively, in recent works on her like by Patrick Beldio or Nika Kuchuk.

Unlike other critics, Savitri Era Party maintains that Hindutva is a valid political agenda which has every right to test its strength in the Indian democratic arena. But lack of transparency and theoretical clarity is a big problem. Further, it's against Sri Aurobindo's vision.

To judge Hindutva by simply the damage it has inflicted on the polity would be one-sided. How much it has contributed to building confidence and drive among a large section of people should also be reckoned. Each era has its pros and cons. But the future belongs to Sri Aurobindo.

Worshipping The Mother & Sri Aurobindo as the one Supreme Divine is the most sensible mode of expressing religious sentiments. Allied poetry and philosophy offer ample aesthetic and intellectual satisfaction. Besides, Savitri Era Religion has the potential of dethroning Hindutva.

Congress is not so much a problem. Most people in India have a visceral hatred towards dynasty who instinctively support Hindutva. Intellectuals find ideological affinity with Congress but many of them are paid. Thus Savitri Era Party is the only alternative in the circumstances.

Hindutva stance vis-à-vis Sri Aurobindo isn't very clear. They pay lip-service when needed and laud his political phase but skillfully avoid his major philosophical contributions and the spiritual aspect. They also play down the implication of his teachings on religions in future.

The philosophy of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo surpasses all streams of Western philosophy. Their contributions to psychology and political theory too is superlative. Still keeping their writings out of University curriculum is absolutely unjust. Educated people should raise voice.

Worshipping The Mother & Sri Aurobindo as the one Supreme Divine requires awareness about their extraordinary contributions which have been meticulously documented over the years by their disciples and erudite scholars. Ashram or Auroville shouldn't cloud one's impression of them. 

Bengal Renaissance played out throughout 19th century in which various religious movements flourished. This was triggered by European influence but in Europe itself thinkers like Schopenhauer, Feuerbach, Marx, Nietzsche, and Freud created an atmosphere of suspicion for religion.
