Patrice and Derrida

I had become well-versed in The Mother & Sri Aurobindo's philosophy and thoughts on education, but shifting to Delhi from Odisha in 1988 gave me the exposure to a variety of other streams and schools of thought. The New Age movement was hotting up at that time and sensing the demand, the Life Positive magazine came out. A special Book Fair titled Mystique India was organised in the Pragati Maidan in 1996, where I had met Patrice.

Delhi Ashram library and Sahitya Akademi library provided me with the opportunity to read books on Western philosophy and postmodernism. Comparative studies on Sri Aurobindo opened up new perspectives. Had the occasion to listen to Derrida once in the NSD auditorium. Seminars and Conferences on diverse themes helped to satisfy my intellectual hunger.

Access to Internet in 2005 transformed the whole scenario. With launching of this blog, my lifelong desire for publishing a magazine succeeded in the online form. VRS from PNB in 2000 too had provided me with a good opportunity. Airing an alternative line of thinking has been my specialty. The work continues, even after two decades, due to The Mother's grace. https://x.com/SavitriEra - https://bsky.app/profile/savitriera.bsky.social
