Evolution and Advani

@SavitriEraParty: Sri Aurobindo's vision of the future rolled out in 1914 through a monthly magazine named Arya. Young Indians must wake to his exhortations.
@SavitriEraParty: Sri Aurobindo was prescient enough to formulate an alternative version of Indianhood than what is offered by the Congress, RSS, or the Left.
@SavitriEraParty: BJP, like BSP, is a victim of an imaginary certainty of mustering a majority constituency. BJP is cocksure on theory while #AAP of practice.
@SavitriEraParty: Like Andhra Pradesh, BJP is finding it hard to keep its three factions together owing to overdose of presumed patriotism and righteousness.
@SavitriEraParty: R, A, M represent the present three factions of the BJP. While R is the Tamasic and M, the Rajasic, A constitutes the Sattwic propensities.
@SavitriEraParty: @gopimaliwal Please look at the future in configuring the evolutionary role of Advani instead of relying too much on examples from history.
@SavitriEraParty: @gopimaliwal But you seem to be totally clueless as to the source of the darkness and Advani has better intuition to sense it & act & lead.
@SavitriEraParty: @gopimaliwal Difficult to hazard a guess as to the possible trajectory of the Zeitgeist but Advani definitely has a prominent role in future.
@SavitriEraParty: No doubt Advani heads a faction today but it's the evolutionary wing in the BJP ready to learn & change unlike RSS hardcore or the matadors.
@SavitriEraParty: The most pragmatic and realist truth is that Advani is BJP since he created it and so to expect that he gets out of it is downright foolish.
@SavitriEraParty: Not Savarkar or Golwalkar, it's Advani who like Lenin brought the Hindutva to life and limelight. He must be given opportunity to mend it.

Spinning mythology

Ashis Nandy had mauled the memory of Sri Aurobindo like a bull in a china shop which Savita Singh has now ably countered by juxtaposing the hermeneutical reading of J.L. Mehta. Parsa Venkateshwar Rao Jr  characterizes Savarkar a morally guilty man, third rate thinker, but he is misrepresented argues Uday Mahurkar. We must differ with Gandhi, asserts Parsa Venkateshwar Rao Jr but visiting Rajghat on January 30, 2013 tells a different tale. [TNM55]

Sri Aurobindo advocates a religious ethos for nationalism

Tweets 23 Dec - @satyamevajayate Reciting Savitri and reading The Life Divine by Sri Aurobindo is perhaps the best means for spreading sanity and harmony.  View conversation
23 Dec - Savitri Era Party @SavitriEraParty May the youth of my country follow the words of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo instead of chasing quick-fix solutions in Rajpath and India Gate. 23 Dec Those who are fueling anarchy in the name of securing instant justice through direct democracy are enemies of national interest and harmony 23 Dec The alacrity with which some national level players jump regularly to fish in troubled waters without thought sends shivers down the spine. 23 Dec - @raj393 No instant solutions barring invoking the teaching of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo. Halting moral degeneration is a long-term process. 23 Dec - @raj393 Mere security and secularism is not enough for inculcating character. Sri Aurobindo has advocated a religious ethos for nationalism.  View conversation
20 Dec From now on as the search for a new iDom begins, the idiom of Indian politics goes for a toss. Religion and its pseudo version under scanner. 13 Dec [International Research Network on Religion and Democracy presents an international conference ‘Are We Postsecular?’ 13–14 Dec. 2012 at LSR] 10 Dec - @OUPAcademic @philosophybites "Matter, the usual philosophical pariah, is spiritual, and has been treated with due respect" by Sri Aurobindo.  View conversation

28 Nov The philosophy of Sri Aurobindo has not been accepted on a wide scale till now, but then no other philosophy has been universally accepted. 28 Nov "गो is cow or cattle, no problems there" surmises @bibekdebroy, but no, then what is Goloka or Gaveshana? Sri Aurobindo comes to the rescue. 28 Nov What is the meaning of life? The simple answer is LIFE. Shastri's revision

"Hindu Vaichariki," the latest book by Dr. Vijay Sonkar Shastri, is a manifesto of sorts of a very wide and liberal interpretation of the Hindu ethos that comes very close to the internationalism of Sri Aurobindo. It's heartening that right thinking people are coming out of the narrow formulation of Hindutva by Savarkar at the conceptual level if not from the zone of slogans.
