Sri Aurobindo writes magisterially

Collated X posts in original by Tusar Nath Mohapatra

Sri Aurobindo writes magisterially, without quoting others or bothering for citing authority. Be it philosophical nuances or sociological scrutiny, his insights are always confident as well as competent. His reliance on the intuitive or spiritual realm may seem distant but is apt.

Nature has created different languages and people speaking a particular language constitute a nation. We are flouting this simple principle in India leading to multiple maladies. Savitri Era Party has been demanding granting Sovereignty to States so that each language flourishes.

The Divine manifestation of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo has not been explained adequately in their writings. So visualising them as the one Supreme Divine depends on the devotees. Further, avoiding the gender identity is in order just like suppositions such as twin avatar or guru.

Most devotees are conversant with the four powers of The Mother but Sri Aurobindo had written corresponding classification at some places before. Knowledge, Power, Harmony, and Work being the four pillars of any organisational system, commensurate social hierarchy is unwarranted.

I have been following a flexible approach as regards writings of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo by avoiding literalism. There are different periods and readers need to be acquainted with changes in focus and modalities. Scholarly texts go by citations which can be misleading at times.

The superiority of Sri Aurobindo’s philosophy has not been accepted by the people in general. His new interpretation of the Veda is relatively unknown. Political parties are not interested in him and Universities, too, tend to ignore his books. But the force of evolution is on.

The Mother & Sri Aurobindo are worshipped as the one Supreme Divine which is the foundation of Savitri Era Religion (2006). Attempts are on to secularise them in the name of Integral yoga or appropriate them under the Hindutva narrative. Devotees must be conscious on Darshan Day.

Following Sri Aurobindo helps to be free from the dominance of Western philosophy as well as Buddhist philosophy. As The Mother & Sri Aurobindo are the one Supreme Divine their writings don't provide a comprehensive metaphysical framework. It has to be pieced together by devotees.

Surrender to The Mother is the only route for Integral yoga as her grace is indispensable for any progress. Even our day-to-day activities would be impossible without it. Remembering her, itself, is an instant evolutionary switch. She and Sri Aurobindo are the one Supreme Divine.

Coverage or response to The Mother's Birthday on X is almost negligible. There is a general reluctance to acknowledge her status as the one Supreme Divine along with Sri Aurobindo. Quoting two lines from Savitri or posting a photo is not how she should be presented to the public.

Sri Aurobindo Ashram was started in Puduchrry in 1926 the roots of which can be traced to Sri Aurobindo (1872-1950) arriving there in 1910. It has only one branch in Delhi. Auroville was started as a small township for human unity in Tamil Nadu in 1968 by The Mother (1878-1973).

Sri Aurobindo fought against the British but also collaborated with it during WWII. So the evolutionary exigency is important. India-centric approach can be erroneous. Advance of technology and new knowledge is part of evolution. Right now Indians are more content with mythology.

Savitri Era Religion is universal. Anyone anywhere in the world can be a part of it just by keeping a photograph of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo at home. Their writings are available online. There are some systems like Integral yoga and Integral education but finally it's surrender.

Sri Aurobindo is known to have borrowed from Plotinus, Hegel, and Nietzsche but the framework of evolution he creates has a unique backing called involution. His interpretation of the Veda is unprecedented and harnessing of the Upanishads to involution-evolution is unparalleled.

Economics is run by human nature but Savitri Era Religion aims at transforming it. Politics has certain aims for refining it but process is tardy and unsteady. Thus all kinds of philanthropic or altruistic endeavour have their own limitations. Even ecological concerns are suspect.

Prefix of Rishi or Maharshi is erroneous as his adopted full name is Sri Aurobindo (Sri being part of the name, শ্রীঅরবিন্দ). Please take care to refer to him as Sri Aurobindo only.

Some anonymous handles with zero credentials try to run down Sri Aurobindo without any basis. It looks like urchins throwing stones and running away. Informed discourse following academic parameters is welcome but stray comments and comparisons without reading his works are duds.

Sri Aurobindo advocated the spiritual approach as a solution to all problems but his philosophy or yoga doesn't have any straightforward method for direct access to spirituality. Nor is anyone's subjective spiritual experiences verifiable. In such an event, surrender is the best.

The Mother & Sri Aurobindo are the one Supreme Divine and a complete reliance on them is the safest path. Those wandering in many lanes and trying to integrate many lines of thinking are bound to be frustrated. Academic practice of surveying is not a good idea for life's journey.

Apart from S.K. Maitra's Meeting of East and West and Sri Aurobindo and Karl Marx by D.P. Chattopadhyaya, I had picked up my lessons from Will Durant's Story of Philosophy, A History of Western Philosophy by Bertrand Russell, and A History of Modern Philosophy by Frederick Mayer.

The Mother, first published in 1928 and Bases of Yoga, first published in 1936 by Sri Aurobindo are of considerable importance for Savitri Era Religion. Similarly, Science of Living and The Spiritual Significance of Flowers by The Mother carry substantial prominence for devotees.

Sri Aurobindo's letters on yoga were written to specific disciples and hence they may not be applicable for general guidance. In the absence of empirical validity young seekers should not be lured by self-realisation or similar stuff. Staying away from false promises is necessary.

Savitri Era Religion is based on surrender where the devotees are free from the burden of Integral yoga. Worshipping The Mother & Sri Aurobindo as the one Supreme Divine is the primary requirement and aspiring for the descent of the Supramental consciousness is the paramount task.

Defects and imperfections shouldn't deter anyone from aspiring for Immortality. Pursuing a life of spiritual goals is the right of everyone. Evolution is in operation round the clock and any new breakthrough can happen at anytime. That's the promise of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo.

There are millions of people in the world and, obviously, it's not by reading The Life Divine, Savitri, or Mother's Agenda that they will turn towards The Mother & Sri Aurobindo. So, Savitri Era Religion is an easily recognisable brand for the common people to take shelter under.

Savitri Era Party favours common sense and science instead of mythology and superstitions. It also believes in the evolutionary view of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo. European invasion of India might have been a disaster but it spurred a strong cultural and technological revolution.

Supramental consciousness can't be the result of any method or technological development. The Mother & Sri Aurobindo tried their best for reconfiguration of body cells but we don't know about its progress. Both are, perhaps, related. A new race will, certainly, possess a new body.

Auroville is home to all kinds of activities these days while procedural wrangle in its administration continues. Govt takeover has served its purpose and it's time to return it to the devotees. Many articles are written on it but no one highlights this root arbitrary act of Govt.

The challenge is to keep Sri Aurobindo alive in the present discourse. Not as a Hindu revivalist or a votary of cultural nationalism but as a universalist who has built a robust philosophical foundation for an evolutionary prospect of ushering in Harmony and Sublimity in society.

The philosophy of Sri Aurobindo has been fondly ascribed as Integral Advaita which is said to have some affinity with that of Plotinus as well as Kashmir Shaivism. Savitri Era Religion envisages The Mother & Sri Aurobindo as the one Supreme Divine navigating the evolutionary path.

Politics affirms faith in Constitutional values but in reality they are flouted more than being abided by. Savitri Era Party, drawing inspiration from Sri Aurobindo, however, believes that morality alone can't be the guarantor for high ideals. Surrender to The Mother is essential.

Believing in The Mother & Sri Aurobindo as the one Supreme Divine is far more convenient and convincing than putting faith on mythology. Real estate or architecture shouldn't be the parameter when it comes to judging the superiority of a 20th century philosophy or its effectivity.

Music, art, and poetry are good avenues for personal development but all those who are engaged in them may not attain the desired ethical level. Mere skill, expertise, or success is not enough. Surrender to The Mother is necessary for turning any sort of talent as transformative.

Savitri Era Religion encourages modern thinking and rationality so that mythology and pseudoscience are driven out of currency. Accepting The Mother & Sri Aurobindo as the one Supreme Divine is the most coherent philosophical framework in consonance with the evolutionary engine.

Apart from ancient mythological literature of all hues that abound in our country, history and politics have created new mythologies during the last century. Worshipping The Mother & Sri Aurobindo as the one Supreme Divine ensures accurate evaluation of such motivated narratives.

Instead of spending time and energy in reading ancient Sanskrit texts, it's far more profitable to read the works of Sri Aurobindo in English. Apart from translations and commentaries, his books of synthetic philosophy including Savitri and related correspondences are a treasure.

Even after the temple victory, a section of the Hindus are still dissatisfied and keep on maligning Abrahamic religions. Antipathy towards Western culture too goes on side by side. Devotees belonging to Savitri Era Religion, however, don't suffer from such a parochial dichotomy.

Although The Mother had announced the descent of the Supramental consciousness in principle on February 29, 1956, inauguration of Auroville on February 28, 1968 can't be assumed to be directly related to it. Auroville, therefore, is bound to undergo the normal human difficulties.

Writings of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo continue to be misinterpreted by the scholars as something secular although Sri Aurobindo has clearly designated The Mother as the Divine Mother. Savitri Era Religion, launched in 2006, worships them as the one Supreme Divine, always present.

There are several utopian visions for a perfect human society but what The Mother & Sri Aurobindo have foreseen is altogether different. The dream of Auroville amounts to some reforms but the promised Supramental race will entail radical departure from present modes of enjoyment.

Spirituality means to be aware of seamless consciousness the ladder of which has been delineated by Sri Aurobindo in The Life Divine. The four levels that we all are built of are capable of transformation through aspiration and surrender. Supramental is the next rung of evolution

Philosophy has grown in leaps and bounds in the West during the last two hundred years but in India only Sri Aurobindo's contribution makes the mark. Indians, unfortunately, are oblivious of this achievement as the general atmosphere is close to illiteracy. Sell mirrors to blind!

A special day for Savitri Era Religion the significance of which is difficult to perceive for those who are not acquainted with The Mother & Sri Aurobindo. A day of infinite possibilities and hope for the whole earth. Something very unique and unprecedented. A day for gratitude.

February 29 forms the most concrete foundation for Savitri Era Religion as the occasion has no connection with any other religion or mythology. The Mother's declaration of descent of Supramental consciousness, in principle, in 1956 marks realisation of Sri Aurobindo's philosophy.

The history of Auroville is much more complex involving lifelong dedication and suffering of a large number of devotees of The Mother & Sri-Aurobindo. There are people who have been interested in material benefits and exercising power. But it's all part of history and recorded.

Sri Aurobindo remoulded the scientific theory of evolution to predict descent of Supramental consciousness upon earth and The Mother announced its first glimpse on February 29, 1956. Worshipping them as the one Supreme Divine and surrender to them is core of Savitri Era Religion.

Reading the books of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo can convince one of the uniqueness of their future vision. Those who are satisfied with the past won't be able to understand the significance of this. Savitri Era Religion invites for orientation in this new knowledge and aspiration.

The philosophy of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo is futuristic and warrants belief in them as the one Supreme Divine. Savitri Era Religion propagates this fundamental requirement in a forthright manner. Savitri Era Party, too, is driven by the same ideal and provides an alternative.
