Savitri Era is the alternative to Hindutva and Nehruvian paths

[Be simple, Be happy, Remain quiet, Do your work as well as you can, Keep yourself always open towards me – This is all that is asked from you.] (The Mother's-five-points-program) Plain & Simple: Be a part of the world community of Savitri Erans plasim.blogspot.com/2021/08/be-par

Both Congress and RSS are anti-Sri Aurobindo. Savitri Era is the alternative to Hindutva and Nehruvian paths. Devotees and followers need to unite to make our presence felt. Coming out of comfort zones is necessary. I speak at 10:10 on political relevance

Itś quite palpable that the ruling party is busy tweaking its ideological template as a result of which Hindutva is getting diluted. No particular economic formula is also being pushed. A liberal image can reap electoral advantage but without Sri Aurobindoś guidance things drift.

Visiting SA Centres to hear lectures or participating in the collective meditation etc are normal but reading the books of The Moher & Sri Aurobindo is an important component of Integral Yoga. SAś books are full of allusions and references which goad the reader to search further.

As Director of Savitri Era Learning Forum (SELF since 2005) my job is to direct people to right sources of knowledge so that one develops right orientation and mental framework. Come here to learn and not for sly arrows or brownie points. No one else is qualified enough as I am.

Many clamour for merit here but fail to give due recognition to the merit of an argument. This is sheer intellectual dishonesty. I can understand that most receive remuneration for peddling specific ideology. Some are fanatical about utopian prescriptions. Hard to teach educated.

Democracy seeks to replace the Kshatriya by a Brahmin as the ruler. At least there's a challenge to grow into a Brahmin. Most of the Constitutional positions demand such qualities. But human nature is too resistant to such ideals. So spirituality is the means to ensure compliance

Time and again I have said that Sri Aurobindo is a University. Enter from any corner and subjects after subjects open their vistas. It's a slow and steady journey; so join early. Be Indian; be Aurobindian. But the aim should be to be a part of the world community of Savitri Erans

No one has read Sri Aurobindo barring a handful. They put him under the rubric of religion and not philosophy proper. He is rarely included in the syllabus. He is not recognised as a poet. Uninformed passing references can be found in books dealing with Evolutionary psychology.

My tweets are not meant for devotees but understanding how Hitler is the central theme of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo's Divine manifestation is most crucial. All the rest is side show. The hostile force that had entered Hitler hasn't been defeated conclusively. Beware of fascists!

A fine speech by documenting how Sri Aurobindo was responding to from local economic issues to international revolutionary activities in his editorials in Bande Mataram. Less of reading from texts would have been more attractive and engaging but...

Steer clear of Marxists/Congress sponsored history in the same way as the skewed accounts of the past by Hindutva enthusiasts. Sri Aurobindo has to be kept at the centre to understand the past and the future. Personal preference or repulsion are immaterial before search for truth

It's impossible to think of modern India without Raja Ram Mohan Roy who was born in 1772. Interestingly, Sri Aurobindo was born exactly a century later. The philosophical synthesis that Sri Aurobindo built is yet to be accepted by Indians. Tradition and superstition are reigning.

"What you are not able to do today, you will achieve tomorrow."

Hindu activism was certainly there and Nehru is famous for resisting it within the Congress itself. Present version of Hindutva (post RJB movement) however was absent then.

To reiterate What I tweeted in 2018, Gandhi proved to be an effective antidote against Hindutva as well as aligning with Hitler. To that extent he served Sri Aurobindo's purpose.

Gandhi had sent more than one requests for a meeting in Puducherry but Sri Aurobindo had turned them down in 1934. That can be seen as a turning point ensuing Congress antipathy towards him and rejection of his suggestion for accepting the Cripps proposal in 1942. #WorldUnionDay

The Mother & Sri Aurobindo are the Supreme Divine, yet their lila is part of history which we need to understand and defend facts.

Critical appraisal is not opposition; it's done out of sympathy. But Gandhi was in the field and had to be utilised for specific purposes. Hindutva, as we understand today, was absent then. By Hindus, Sri Aurobindo meant Indians. There was no communal angle in his thinking.

I think, Gandhi was an instrument of Sri Aurobindo to an extent as the latter never denounced publicly. By contrast, Tagore seems to be almost against Sri Aurobindo's agenda.

I don't know how much Tagore was of help after the rule was broken for him. So anyone can say that Gandhi was treated rudely.

You are right but I told from the outward courtesy point of view. Gandhi was no saint but in this case his request seems to be genuine. "will you spare me a few minutes & see me!" he had implored.

Sri Aurobindo's views can shed much light on the matter. Two Link symbol iiyp.net/C1.doc

I have seen how untouchability was normal in our village house when I was young. Sentiments have not changed much, no matter how much modernity we import. On the other extreme, conflict over inheriting parental property causes enmity among close relatives and cold war continues.

We live in an interconnected world but have failed in developing consensus on lifestyle and social issues on the alibi of diversity. The West has brought in modernity but also a lot of degeneration. Despite claim to Dharma, social conditions in India is deplorable. #WorldUnionDay

What I know is not my own production and I'm sceptical of their veracity. I'm reading Sri Aurobindo from the age of eight. It insulated me from reading traditional texts. SA himself has pointed out defects in interpretation of old texts. That's sufficient.

Sri Aurobindo wouldn't agree any such system or superstition. incarnateword.in/cwsa/13/rebirth
Agree but it's a tall order. Most take the easy path of following someone and remaining within that boundary. Of course, each one's intellectual trajectory is different. It's so subjective. Difficult to shed past baggage.

All ancient texts are defective and unsuitable for modern day thinking.
Depends upon who you believe. I prefer to rely upon a modern thinker like Sri Aurobindo than any Purana or Karika because he has the advantage of theorising after Darwinś theory of Evolution became mainstream. Besides, no text can be considered as a self-evident truth.
Sri Aurbindo doesn´t deny rebirth per se but asks not to take the rigid rules of Karma theory seriously. incarnateword.in/cwsa/22/the-ph
I have already said that Sri Aurobindo doesn't deny rebirth. Having read Sri Aurobindo to an extent, if you don't have respect for his views, then I have nothing to say. But it's not informed discourse. Thanks to SA, I haven't read many things which would have polluted my mind.

When I search Aurobindo, many tweets on Aurobindo Pharma crowd the results and I wade through them. However after the Satyam episode I have lost faith on any professed corporate ethics. Periodical performances are a different story. But where is the real leadership in governance?
Founders may have been devotees but just conjecture.

Another request to the copy-paste brigade. Please understand the sacredness of the writings of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo. You can paraphrase, indicate the link to the source, but don't paste quotations here. Let the reader search and find the joy of discovering peak after peak.

I formed the Sundargarh chapter of World Union in 1981. Thereafter, a special issue of the journal came out on the occasion of its silver jubilee. The concerns are aglow even today and the third dream of Sri Aurobindo is the only solution. August 20 - #WorldUnion Day #FiveDreams

Published on World Union Day i.e., August 20, it's another remarkable coincidence. Thanks.

I'm not very conversant with international situation and hence avoid commenting on them. I'm also not sure who is on the side of Evolution and who is not. Churchill is accused of causing millions of deaths due to famine but Sri Aurobindo had backed him to the hilt against Hitler.

In my limited experience of 65 years, I have seen that geography is uneven and no one can be at two places at the same time. Thus, one is a victim of his local culture and customs. Further, an element of drama is a continual feature in human affairs. Generalisations are lazy act.
The single most important reason why India is suffering today is Congress refusing Sri Aurobindo's suggestion for accepting the Cripps offer. Churchill might have sabotaged [Churchill’s double game with the Cripps Mission to India, 1942 exilegov.hypotheses.org/1077 via ]
