Theory, Theosophy, and Sri Aurobindo

Not only Western technology, but also Western theory, do have much relevance today. Overenthusiastic Indic-wallahs are often heard spewing venom against English, Science, and Political correctness without realising that we don´t have commensurate resources. #SriAurobindo bridges.

Savitri Era
What´s the state of theory today? Humanism, no doubt, is the substratum but most concerns seem to be hijacked by the exigencies of technology apart from the political contingencies. Thus objectivity is missing and also perceiving how the unseen world is constantly shaping events.

Incremental development and percolation effect are a constant. Conceiving any overwhelming measures or conversely leaving things to an organic growth form a dilemma. Vision and coordination can set a momentum. Design can change the face of Indian landscape with focus on villages.

Crores of people live in the villages but this urban trend of applauding celebrities is a curious phenomenon. Caring for the underprivileged hasn't lost its relevance. A fraction of money and energy spent in luxury and fun can do wonders for the deprived sections of the society.

Castes can't be wished away like that; it's alive and kicking in countless villages. #SriAurobindo formulated the broad principles but to apply them in the present conditions may not be a sound strategy. So symmetry and uniformity are still distant dreams.

Please avoid disparaging remarks about other professions. We are in an interconnected world; just playing our part. Geography is uneven; society is so complex. So expecting symmetry and uniformity may not be appropriate. Further, a good and well paying profession is not enough.

I don´t disagree with you but as long as the democratic machinery is espousing it, reservation deserves respect. If some party in future is ready to abolish it, then it´s good. Till then, it´s not fair to find fault with this provision.

Technology aids development and it's unthinkable that there can be any halt. Further innovation can come from any corner of the world. An ordinary human being is just a spectator. But #SriAurobindo won't approve of such helplessness. Access to higher Consciousness can mould events.

#SriAurobindo´s birth anniversary falls on August 15. Focus on this great philosopher and poet can generate awareness about his lifelong work on evolution of a higher consciousness for ushering in harmony. Thanks.

#TheMother & #SriAurobindo have modified it to a great extent and hence it´s Integral. All life is yoga and all activities are included; and not only the specific prayers or rituals. Stress is on discovering the inner ladder of consciousness instead of too much outward attention.

Just like a mother loves to talk about her child, an author too finds some pretext or the other to broach his book. It's in that context and I hope you will take it lightly. Btw how far you are acquainted with #SriAurobindo's works? He too has thought of solutions for the mankind.

Hope you are aware of #SriAurobindo who has given the most authentic explanation of the Indian tradition. You can read his books at incarnateword.in

Your intention is good but anyone who reads Vivekananda or others cannot understand #SriAurobindo as there are loads of contradictions between their opinions. I think, I have indicated this before incurring your displeasure. Let´s hope all know this philosophical position clearly

You might have read a few books of #SriAurobindo but that doesn't give the right orientation. There's the whole lifetime to go to the depths of his writings. Thanks.

Compare and contrast is a valid academic exercise. Without that critical scrutiny is not possible. In every profession, there's is some hierarchy. Ignoring that and relying on rhetoric can't fetch quality. My job is to inform and not imposition. The rest depends upon the reader.
I reiterate that your intention is noble but there are flaws in your assumptions which I seek to rectify. Hindu Spirituality is not something monolithic and you yourself have mentioned only three names. Calling them as enlightened souls is also a supposition. Follow #SriAurobindo

Very few know about Vladimir's deep knowledge of the Veda in the light of #SriAurobindo

Helena Petrovna Blavatsky (1831–91) visited India in 1852 leading to establishment of the Theosophical Society two decades later. There´s not much evidence of #TheMother & #SriAurobindo being appreciative of her work. So better to keep safe distance but it´s an important episode.

Two other foreign women who were contemporaries of #SriAurobindo are Annie Besant (1847–1933) and Sister Nivedita (1867–1911). But we can´t have a very high opinion about them. After #TheMother´s arrival, everything changed and work began on an altogether different dimension.

I was born eight years after the British left India and five years after the Constitution of India was promulgated. I don't know why I should be tormented by stories of conflict and victimhood supposed to have happened during the last two thousand years. Why such crap imposition?

Referring to #TheMother & #SriAurobindo as Avatara is wrong. They are the Supreme Divine in an unprecedented manifestation. Even imagining them as Ishwara and Shakti is also erroneous. Looking at them as two separate entities is anomalous. They are beyond old notions and formulas.
Brahman is old terminology

From the Bande Mataram phase as a political theorist, Sri Aurobindo's transition to the philosopher of a robust Mother-Ontology, is an interesting one. The Divine Shakti of The Synthesis of Yoga disturbs the neat framework that he built in The Life Divine. incarnateword.in/cwsa/24/the-di

These are very logical questions but #SriAurobindo broaches the logic of the Infinite. Neither science nor philosophy is able to tell the mystery of the universe(s). Individual, universal, and transcendent are the three poises of the Supreme Divine. Thanks

Over the last two centuries Universities have created a mythology around top philosophers and social scientists aided by publishing houses and libraries. #SriAurobindo´s writings provide a different and authentic viewpoint. It needs to be popularised so that India reaches the top

Strange that people narrate events of 1021 almost as an eye-witness. All written records are manipulated or exaggerated. Books on history therefore are nothing but beautiful stories. So be wary of them. Bollywood has taken upon itself to recreate various episodes by adding spice!
