Looking at history through the lens of Subhas can be as skewed as imagining everything in terms of Gandhi or Nehru. They have exhibited heroism or leadership but when it comes to visionary element, there´s no one who can match Sri Aurobindo. Revolution, yes but Evolution, urgent.

Many thanks for giving me this opportunity for saying a few words on the political relevance of Sri Aurobindo, when the country is standing on the crossroads. Content is almost flawless and the voice is powerful. Kuldip Mishra, Gopa Basu, and Jagjit Singh also feature in capsule.

Winning elections by hook or by crook has become the norm. But, Democracy demands restraint, eschewing misrepresentation, and fair play. So, society needs men and women of character and a line of thinking or ideology is also required. Sri Aurobindo provides them in ample measure.

Apart from the Vedic deities like Aditi, Ila, Bharati, Mahi, etc correspondence wirh the four suns, viz., Varuna, Mitra, Aryaman, and Bhaga is an interesting aspect. Although roots can be traced to Iranian antiquity, four and five brothers in Ramayana and Mahabharata too resonate

Theosophical Society also provides many such scientific looking calculation. I´m 65 and my experience is limited; rest is hearsay. Fortunately The Mother picked me up at an early age and I believe that she is in charge of the future Evolution. Past rules and patterns don´t matter

One might possess all resources and plan meticulously but he has no control over future events. Can´t be sure of even his location. Well everything is not so erratic but unpredictability is a significant part of human affair. Gods and astrologers proliferate but equanimity is key

I have been telling this at savitriera.blogspot.com from 2005 and in Twitter since 2012. But I perceive that people harbour enormous resistance and loads of prejudice. The political climate is to blame and also hesitation and reticence of devotees to be a bit vocal and aggressive

Twitter has been a great success as a communication medium due to its limit on characters. Quickly reading succinct views expressed by others is so refreshing and educative. One may pin a photo once in a while but pasting a poster regularly is encroachment. I detest the visuals.

Twitter gives me the sense of belonging to a Democracy since I can freely vent my pent up thoughts and feelings. But most here dread RT as a plague. Communication is a relay race where the baton ought to be passed on to the next person. Knowledge and ideas need to shared, widely.

Many RW stalwarts are authors now and it's a good sign. But how objective the contents are is something nebulous without critical appraisal. Garuda Prakashan has a respectable back list but insisting ideology backfires. However the book everyone is waiting for is by True Indology

A person born in a SC family is told to revere Ambedkar but isn´t encouraged to intellectually search any further. The same is the case with RKM, RSS, and Congress. Yet, there´s a growing awareness among the young that Sri Aurobindo is the greatest poet and philosopher of India.

Puducherry is almost within Tamil Nadu but mostly the State is indifferent towards Sri Aurobindo. Tamil pride about their language and culture may be justified but new horizons shouldn´t be overlooked. Hold of tradition is another reason for people´s aversion toward Sri Aurobindo

Staying away from false assurances of self-realisation, siddhi, or miracles is absolutely necessary. Each person coming in contact with The Mother & Sri Aurobindo will have his own trajectory. The Evolutionary fashioning of the future is on. Multiple loyalties may mar the show.

Old age has many body related problems which forces to have a re-look at tenets of yoga, that are so complacently taken for granted when young and strong. Distant dreams like Supramental can trigger disillusionment but the only mantra is that there´s no alternative to The Mother.

Many scholars are obsessed with dating of ancient texts. They have undergone so much of additions and alterations. New kings must have sponsored new compilations. Names of authors may not be authentic. So, it's better to read their content only. Any glorification is preposterous.
