Nothing is "a settled fact" in the march of history and by saying Pakistan, you acknowledge its separate identity. Personal passionate yearnings should not cloud our stand on public and practical issues. [TNM] Reply

Any “utterance” is linguistically constrained and semiotically scattered, while the “performative” facet is historically handicapped. Without sliding into an overly positivist perspective, it would be appropriate on our part to stay busy with the oars while keeping our aspiration afloat for a supportive gust of wind. [TNM] Reply
